Religion
We human beings cling to religion as a sustaining force because as mortals. We have our limitations and imperfections. But at the same time, we crave for fulfillment and adopt different ways, practices and philosophical faiths for attaining it. The name widely given to these efforts, aimed at attaining fulfillment, is religion.
Religion is neither blind faith nor following of ritual. It is an essence of morality and humanity. Therefore, it has to be based on human values and philosophy. The philosophy of karma कर्म the basis of religion is the best to attain fulfillment. Karma कर्म is the best because it is an integral part of our life and we indulge in it without effort. What we actually need to cultivate is the spirit of selfless karma कर्म. The Bhagavad Gita भागवत गीता preaches.
(कर्मान्या: अधिक्राश्य: माँ फिलेशु कादाच्न्य: ) Karmanyev Adhikaraste Ma Phileshu Kadachana (only action is in our hand but never its outcome).
If you do your karma कर्म without bothering about the results, you can be blissfully happy and have that feeling of fulfillment. Whether it is your personal affairs, your professional or your social life, do the needful with full sincerity and commitment without expecting anything in return. When you desire results from your karma and fail to achieve those results, it triggers a chain reaction that culminates in self-destruction.
1. Unfulfilled desires result in frustration-
2. Frustration leads to resentment-
3. Resentment generates hurt-
4. Hurt produces negativity and
5. Negativity in turn gives birth to anger.
Anger is the all-devouring monster, which destroys everything – your goodness, feeling, विवेक (wisdom) and blunts your senses, all at the same time, producing volumes and volumes of stress and strain for you and all around you, posing a danger to your identity.
On the contrary, selfless (कर्म ) karma generates positive counter force to give you that blissful feeling of satisfaction. When our karma or efforts are no expectations attached, then the neglect, the failure and the negative attitude of others do not affect us. We are at peace with ourselves, enjoying the feeling of satisfaction.. And where do you practice कर्म karma?
You have the whole universe, the (विराट स्वरुप ) Viraat Swaroop of God, spread before you as an arena to practices your selfless कर्म Karma. Performing selfless a without expecting Phal (फल ) (result) is the highest worship one can offer to (परमात्मा ) Parmatma and the divine (आत्मा ) Atama,
Every religion, philosophy and system of government has always emphasized the importance of Truth. “Know the truth which makes for a beautiful life! “The most practical and original definition that one has come across is:” Truth is an understanding of the laws of Nature.”
Certain laws govern the world. These are laws of the inner, outer material and spiritual world. All these laws are natural and universal. In contradiction with natural laws, there are laws made by man. These man-made laws keep on changing but natural laws are eternal. All that is created is transitory. A celebrated maxim of jurisprudence runs as follows: “Whatever is made is transient. Such as the pitcher. Whatever is uncreated is eternal, such as the space. Lasting truth is uncreated. “
Looking at the history of the religions the Vedas वेद्द are the oldest heard holy religious scriptures in the world. The Four Vedas वेद्द [Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharvana रिग, यजुर, साम, और अथर ] Upanishads उपनिषद and Bhagavad-Gita भागवत गीता (of Mahabharata महाभारत Epic) of Hindu हिंदू Religion, Buddhism बौद्ध , Christianity and Islam are most important religions of the world। Of the Holy Scriptures Bhagavad-Gita भागवत गीता has the capacity to be considered as the Universal Religious script suitable for all the people in the world because of its universal scope, unity in diversity। The Four Vedas वेद्द called the book of knowledge is a heard revelation of the knowledge of Truth or God। Upanishads उपनिषद are the philosophy of the Vedas वेद्द , Vedanta वेदांता is the concluding part of the acme of human thought and Bhagavad-Gita भागवत गीता or the song of the Lord is the essence of Hinduism हिंदुत्वा which is the easily understandable and follow-able holy script of Hindu हिंदू religion। Likewise, The Bible or the holy book of stories of Christian religion and the Koran कुरान or the holy words of God of Islam peace with God or submission to Allah अल्लाह religion are the life guide books of the respective religions of the world।
Man’s Conduct – Should not be judged solely by external appearance. He may pose as if he is the paragon of virtue, wear religious symbols, and even conduct elaborate rites. But with all these pumps show, he mats still harbor bad thoughts. Unless he is found to be free from impurities and vicious influences which corrupt the mind. He will never remain a hypocrite.
Desire, anger, lust, and other wicked propensities should have no room in the heart. Such a clean man will not seek property or power but will discharge the responsibilities entrusted to him sincerely. The Mahabharata महाभारत presents many characters, representing a cross section of the then society but their behavior was no different then what one witness among many these days. Jealousy, hatred, and quarrel between brothers were to be found.
Likewise some people attempting to forge unity even suffering personal discomfort were also not common. One among the greatest characters was Bhishma भीष्म who did his best to keep the word given to his forebears. At the same time it was baffling that a man of his status upholding the principles of righteousness should have supported wicked man on the plea of repaying the dept of gratitude. The main theme of the epic is that so long as there is divine surveillance there can be no violation of the law of virtue and that vice can never thrive.
In concluding, man pursues the objects of his desire madly until he gets them. Once he is in possession of them instead being sated he becomes a slave to other longings. The Epic reflects how armed with power of chastity even God in human form could be sentenced for a default. The Mahabharata महाभारत through Yudhistira युधिष्टर pinpoints how after a particular stage in life elders, who are running the home, should hand over the reins of management to the youngsters. Yudhistira युधिष्टर entrusted the administration to his grandson and along with the brothers and wife, left the world. God’s law can never be circumvented and evil cannot thrive for all the time, these are the lessons from the Mahabharata महाभारत .
Religion deals with human being and studies all aspects of human life with a view particularly to determining the purpose, aim, and the ultimate goal of life, Observing the factors which help and the factors which hinder the attainment of that goal. Religion is more competent then any other branches of knowledge to show the way to the realizations of the desires which are most basic in man and which seems to be instinct to his true nature firstly, secondly to know, and thirdly to be happy. The existence knowledge and abiding happiness thus constitute the three fold objective which conforms to the essentially fundamental nature of the innermost being or the soul of man and which , therefore , he always seek to attain. Religion imparts knowledge inculcates a high sense of discipline and builds up man’s CONDUCT, CHARACTER, KNOWLEDGE, and DISCIPLINE and none of these can be had merely for the asking.
Righteous Conduct is True Nobility- When all virtues are weighted and tested, good conduct will be found the best. The soul which is lost will never come back to the body, so too righteous conduct. It is an asset that cannot be easily acquired. One should not fear death but should certainly be afraid of disgrace. Good conduct will constitute the seed of blessedness while the bad will yield endless wretchedness. Virtues make man on earth famous, illustrious in grave and immortal in heaven. Four wheel disciplined life will make a man stand any test whatever his status. Greatness goes with a life of good behaviour; disgrace attends those who discard the value of character. Bad conduct will lead a man to the brink of ruin. It is virtue and not birth, which makes us mighty. Even those born in a family that is considered low will become by their spotless character sublimated into those of a superior family. On the other hand those in a higher caste family may degrade into those of an ordinary family when they give up their righteous conduct.
There might too many religions but morality is one, it is religion in practice. No life can grow properly unless it is dedicated and orderly. Like water from high falls is turned into energy when sent through a tunnel. Life also should pass through regress discipline to achieve success. Man’s self control will place him amidst a band of immortals. He should display utter humility. More than this he should guard himself against the use of his words. Blisters caused through fire will one day heal but the scar made by uncharitable remarks through one’s tongue will remain indelible. He who humbles himself shall be exalted. Abhor evil and cling to what is good only scriptural texts plead with mankind. Righteous conduct is true nobility.
(The different points of view or levels of attainment exist not only among the followers of different religion but also among the adherents of one and the same religion.)
Such different stages are inductive only if the different stages on the path to the perfection and do not constitute any ground for animosity among the adherents of the same religion or of different religions.
Every Nation has a distinctive character, which is its life force, its identity; this identity is the magic wand of its life and death. So long as it remains undisturbed, the nation retains its vitality and develops more and more strength. The moment it is lost, the nation is sure to die.
The magic wand of Roman civilization was its Royal power. That is why the down fall of Rome came soon after the decline and fall of the Roman Empire. The History of Rome, Egypt, and Syria is full of stories relating how many human beings were massacred to annex what dimension of the world’s territories. These civilizations became extinct under the weight of iniquities which lust of power and Gold brought in its train. But when we turn to the history of India, we find that her distinctive character is a spiritual force and that her life- work is spiritual in nature.
This work cannot be done with blasts of war trumpets. India’s influence, being in its nature gentle dew, unheard and scarcely marked. India thus, throughout the ages, has played a spiritual and cultural role consecrated to the regeneration of man and to the progress and civilization of the world.
The magic wand of India’s life in religion. Religion, is essence, is the enfoldment of man’s real nature, which is pure consciousness, the universal spirit in man. This universal spirit is the very soul of the human being and, as all life is the evolution have that which is within. The universal spirit necessarily expresses itself through various peoples and ration in different circumstances and with widely different customs and methods of life. The different between man and man, people and people, nation and nation, is not substance but one of expression. The soul of humanity is one underlying all diversities of expression.
This consciousness of the universal spirit in man is fundamental in the very soul of India. She lives to-day because she has never deviated from the bed rock of this consciousness of spiritual Unity. It is for this reason that despite the repeated on slough of foreign enemies, the Indian Nation has not disappeared from the face of the earth like other ancient civilizations. This is the reason that whenever the essence of religion, which is the élan vital of the Indian Nation, was crippled and debased, the rot set in National Life and as result the Nation was ruined. But with the revival of pure and genuine religion, it raised its head again and succeeded in overcoming all obstacles and establishing itself on its own basis. In assessing the History of India, the Ups and Downs in her movement. On the uneven path of her national life, have to be explained in the light of the rise and fall of religion, as cause and effect relation, And not by well known method of cause and effect relation usually employed in the study of political history.

Ayurveda आयुर्वेद and yoga योग
Ayurveda आयुर्वेद and yoga योग can be called sister sciences of ‘self-healing and self-Realization’. Both evolved from a Vedic वैदिक background in ancient India, based on the same philosophy, sharing many practices. Ayurveda आयुर्वेद , the ‘yogic योगिक form of healing’, is aimed at bringing us back into harmony with our true self or atman आत्मा . The great Ayurvedic आयुर्वेदिक teacher Chaarka चरक defines Ayurveda आयुर्वेद as the harmony of body, Prana प्राण , mind and soul. Patanjali पात्तांजलि defines as controlling the mind in order to realize the purusha पुरूष .
According to Ayurveda आयुर्वेद , only when we are connected to our true self or atman आत्मा can we are truly healthy in body, mind and soul. This is in contrast with modern medicine, which addresses health and disease mainly on a physical level. Ayurvdea’s आयुर्वेद goal is holistic well being: psychologically and spiritually, physical health. However important, is not enough for true happiness. That requires peace of mind and a spiritual purpose in life.
As organic beings, what comes out of us generally reflects what goes into energy expression and us mirrors what we take into ourselves via nutrition. This occurs on three primary levels. The first is food that builds up the physical body or ‘physical nutrition’. The second is our sensory impressions that build up the mind or ‘psychological nutrition’. The third is our associations, which nourish the heart, and the soul or what could be called ‘spiritual nutrition’.
The right diet for us would contain fresh or freshly cooked vegetarian food rich in Pran प्राण or the life force. The right diet for the mind consists of wholesome impressions drawn from the world of nature, art or temples. Right association consists of healthy relationships with friends and family and spiritual guidance at a soul level from Gurus and teachers.
If these three factors of right three impressions and right associations occur then we are happy and healthy; we are bound to grow spiritually. Unfortunately today, the quality of life is declining in all three – good food, good impressions and even good associations. Food is often processed, overly spiced, with too much oil or it is even re cooked. We are exposed to mass media scenes of sex and violence, urban traffic, noise and pollution. Our relationships are rushed, tense and demanding. We seldom make the time for spiritual associations and meetings with great souls. What we’ve gained in technology. We seem to have lost in terms of real happiness. Whatever we’ve gained for the body, we have lost for the soul. While modern medicine has done well in reducing acute diseases, chronic diseases, depression and unhappiness are almost epidemic even in the most affluent sections of society.
Many of us consider the role of right diet and health, but we’re often careless about the right diet for the mind or the right associations for the spirit. We must take as much care for psychological and spiritual well being as for physical health if we want to be happy. If we follow an Ayurvedic आयुर्वेदिक diet using Ayurvedic आयुर्वेदिक Harbs, follow yogic systems of exercise and meditation, we can create a comprehensive life-style for optimal well being. In which we live, creating a harmonious relationship with the world around us.
Without natural forms of healing and spirituality, our culture could spin out of control, lading to greater personal and civilisational disorders. New diseases like AIDS might get intensified and old diseases like malaria could come back as a consequence of moving away from the organize roots of life. Unless we recognize both nature and the spirit and build our cultures around them, our future is bound to have many problems. Such proven ancient systems as yoga and Ayurveda आयुर्वेद can provide us the wisdom to overcome all these difficulties.

RELIGION
Religion is, in the true sense, the science of the knowledge on man’s real nature. It is the perception, realization, and manifestation of man’s real nature. Man’s real nature is pure consciousness, pure existence, and pure bliss. It is divinity itself, it is oneness. It is universal. The soul of everything is thus the same universal spirit, self effulgent, a sun covered over with clouds of ignorance.
Religion, as has been said, is the perception, realisation, and manifestation of man’s real nature, which is divinity itself, the universal spirit in man. The universal spirit expresses itself through infinite aspects, infinite forms modes, and media. As one makes of the house appears in various aspects, being father to one, brother to another, and husband to the third, so the one universal spirit is described and called in various ways according to the particular aspect in which it is perceived by a particular individual. It is a chameleon sometimes red, sometimes green, sometimes yellow, sometimes blue, and soon and sometimes it has no color at all.
Religion essentially is thus one in substance, but many in relation, to forms and media of expression. As the one universal spirit and its many aspects is the same reality, perceived by the mind at different circumstances. It is not one particular form mode or medium alone but equally all forms modes and media, which are paths to self realization. These forms are like the different radius of a circle. As many radius so many path. All leads to the centre. The one ultimate reality, the universal spirit in man. And at the centre, where the entire radius meet, all differences ceases, But until the centre is reached, differences there must be, individuals. According to their nature travel along one of these lines, one along one, and another along another, and if all push onwards along their own lines, all will certainly come to the centre. This is the whole of religion.
Religions become many, called by various names. They vary from person to person, group to group, community to community. The only true privilege for any religion is its fundamentals right to complement itself by drawing upon the distinctive contributions of other religions and thus develop, perfect, and fulfill itself.
Consciously or unconsciously every religion moves towards unity. Unity is thus the measure of perfection for all religions. That is the perfect religion which was reached unity in its varied expression, and that therefore is the ideal to follow.
The discoveries of spiritual science make it incumbent on every religion to lead mankind to the place where there is neither, the Veda nor the Bible nor the Koran, yet this has to be done by harmonizing the Veda वेद्द , The Bible, and The Koran. Mankind ought to be taught that religions are but the varied forms of expression of the religion, which is oneness, so that each individual may choose the form that suits him best. It is therefore The religion that provides the basis of true ‘Conversion’ a conversion which indispensable for real progress in well being. So all must be converted to The religion. No one need be converted from one religion to another, but all must be converted from a religion to The religion. This alone will lead mankind to infinite freedom. This alone will lead mankind to that one in who is the Universe. In who is the soul, who is in the soul, who is the soul of the man, knowing him and therefore the universe as our self, alone extinguishes all fear, brings and to misery, and leads to infinite freedom.
Wherever there has been expansion in love or progress in well being, of individuals or numbers, it has been through the perception realization, and the practicalisation of the eternal truth-the oneness of all beings.
Consciousness of spiritual unity removes all sense of distinction between “Secular”. Nor any difference between service of man and worship of God. Life itself religion.
God with man as the cell of the monk or the door of the temple Art. Science, and religion are but three different ways of expressing a single truth.
Religion is only a means to an end, it is like a fence for growing tree and once the latter become huge with its roots firm and branches well spread, the former has no use. The goal of a person should be to totally avoid re-births. Towards this several methods have been prescribed. But what God expects of any one who desires to realise Him, is submission of every act of him. God wants man to serve humanity for which he has to cultivate certain outstanding traits. He would see God in every creation and treat it or him with kindness. He should avoid being rude to others or hurt insults or injure other’s sentiments.
God does not expect everyone to conduct worship with pomp, God will be pleased with the offer of a petal (like Tulsi तुलसी ) or a fruit, and if nothing, a little amount of water poured at his feet to register dedication. All these acts purity the devotee’s mind.
He is concerned only with their intensity of divine love and nothing else. Saints have gone to the extent of describing the attitude of a sincere devotee as the state in which the very mention of God’s name or God’s compassionate acts should cause tears to well up in his eyes.
God had referred to the need for a person to be soft spoken gentle and endearing to everyone, his purity and conduct should compel others who are associated with Him, to emulate Him. He should be like river Ganga गंगा which remains unaffected even when polluted waters mingle with it.
Another quality to be acquired is desirelessness. He should never be reduced to a situation forcing him to seek the help of the others. At the same time he should not say “No” to any one who approached him for assistance at any time. Chaitanya चैतन्या and Ramakrishna रामकृष्णा revealed such a detached and divine attitude. The later refused to lure by lust in the wake of even the worst kind of temptation and he also treated a piece of gold and a post shred with equal contempt.
Realisation is religion, not more assent, or dissent knowledge has to be gained and fully assimilated so that it is reflected in one’s life and actions. Religion is not more knowledge and learning. It is love, truth, virtual and wisdom all combined religion is there only to serve and guide man. It is indeed, the very aim and purpose of religion to unravel all mystery and to uproot ignorance.
Religion is this primarily concerned with the type of training and education. This introduces man to the facts and the basic problem of life and equips him for the struggle of life with a view to ensuring his physical, mental moral and spiritual well being and thereby facilitating attainment of the goal of life.
Hindu dharma हिंदू धर्मं is not a mere ritual, but a philosophy of life. The correct description of Hindu हिंदू is Sanatan Dharma सनातन धर्म . While Sanatan सनातन has an English equivalent, which means eternal, translating as religion. Confusion prevails when is equated with religion. Hindu हिंदू believes in pluralism, which means there are multiple paths to experience the divine, and one chooses the path that one thinks is valid for oneself. This is the hallmark of its tolerance. Its ethos is expressed in the verse: ekam sat, viprah bahudha vahanti एकं सत् विप्रः बहुधा वहन्ति (there is an eternal truth but there are many ways to achieve it).
The pluralistic philosophy of Hindu हिंदू has enabled it to absorb and nurture diverse systems of beliefs. Many have evolved to address a particular situation that developed. In other cases, one or more individual put forward a set of propositions, which is supposed to elevate the person to a higher spiritual plane. All these philosophies worked within the milieu of the cultural Hindu dharma हिंदू धर्म and never tried to denigrate the people and their philosophy. Hindu dharma हिंदू धर्म is a dynamic philosophy, ever reforming and ever progressing. It has attracted the intellectuals from all over the world in all times. Hindu हिंदू a encourages people to think for themselves, and so has developed a scientific temperament.
a’ Hinduism हिंदुत्वा will spread not so much through the gurus गुरु and swamis स्वामी , who attract certain number of people looking for a new commitment and a quasi-monastic lifestyle, but it will spread mainly through the work of intellectuals and writers, who have found certain Hindu हिंदू ideas convincing and who identify them with their personal beliefs.”
It is not the intention that every thing in Hindu dharma हिंदू धर्म is perfect, and that there no bad practices. Hindu हिंदू history has streams of examples of people who have done human service to reduce the evils that have crept in all ages. Yet, many evils do remain. But these have nothing to do with the philosophy of Hindu हिंदू a. Other reasons have contributed to it.
The fact that it is the oldest surviving civilization must wake up the detractors to its essential greatness, attested by many modern thinkers. Hindu philosophy has always been accommodative. This attitude is born out of the Hindu हिंदू tolerance and a freedom to think for oneself. Gandhji said: “I believe in the Vedas वेद्द , the Upanishads उपनिषद , the puranas and all that goes in the name of Hindu हिंदू sculptures. For me all these scriptures are divine, the spirit of these scriptures is purity, truth, innocence, chastity, simplicity, forgiveness, forgiveness and godliness.”

That is why we must recognise and respect all religion and all men as we find them striving for perfection in their own way so long as they do not interfere with on another.
Are the Gods of Hinduism really married?
It is true that God is often depicted with a spouse in our traditional stories. However, on a deeper philosophical level, the Supreme Being and the Gods are neither male nor female and are therefore not married.
Through history Hindus have depicted God as Ardhanarishvara, which literally means “half-female Lord”—Siva शिवा as male on the right and female on the left. This vision of the Divine as our Mother-Father God supersedes the popular, mythological notion of marriage of a God and Goddess, declaring that God and His energy are one.
COMMON SENSE / KNOWLEDGE -
All of us whether we possess knowledge or whether we are ignorant or God –fearing or God-haters, have one thing in common, no one wants grief. Everybody desires to be immersed in happiness. We are upset when contrary to expectations; we are made to face problems where things ought to have gone smooth. When we anticipate complications in a particular situation, the reverse happens and all ends well. The usual explanation offered for this phenomenon is that our acts and the fruits we enjoy depend on our noble deeds or our sins in the past. How are sin and virtue to be defined? Those acts which please God are considered as “pious” while those that contravene the divine commands are categorised as sin. This leads to question that this God is and what are His traits?
There are several methods by which the presence of God can be established but they may have limitations. God’s existence can be proceed by inference but even then arguments may be advanced to brand Him as suffering from certain disqualifications, Here steps in the Vedas and their clear utterance.
In Cricket, as in life, we face different kinds of bowling – various types of problems, medical, social, political etc. if you are a specialist in one field, e.g. a doctor, then you can solve problems in that field, but when other problems come, you don’t know what to do. Hence, whether it is a loss of health, wealth or emotional disturbance one must know how to face these problems. The difficulty is that we try to face the world with a little bat our university degree. What is the bat with which we should play the game of life? It is that of right discrimination or understanding are completely different.
Our own knowledge is killing us because discrimination on how to use and where to use that knowledge is not there. A short story clearly illustrates this. Their friends parted ways for studying and met after five years. The first one had learnt to put a dead body together; the second one had gathered expertise on how to give life to a dead body while the third had studied about life. They came across a dead tiger cut up in pieces by a hunter.
The first one put the pieces together and asked the second one to give life to it. The third friend cautioned them against it but went up a tree when they refused. The second one gave life to the tiger. Who on getting his life back killed the two friends? Unfortunately, their own knowledge killed them because they were not discriminating about where and how to use it. Discrimination is Rare. Swami Vivekananda स्वामी विवेकानंद said, “The most uncommon thing in the world is common sense.”
The best example of using knowledge discriminately is found in the Mahabhatra महाभारत . Sri Krishna श्री कृष्णा the prime example of one who faced all difficult situations with a smile. The three stumps in our life are the Body, Mind and Intellect. The intellect is different from the faculty of discrimination. When there is a difficult situation or problem, on becomes physically upset and intellectually confused. One cannot find stumps have fallen and one feels dejected with life. But that’s not the way to face difficult situations, one has to stay alert and calm always. And by using the right discriminatory powers we can protect our will being.
Knowledge is divided between phenomenology, science of the changeable and ontology, science of the unchangeable, ontology is the realm of beings and phenomenology that of becoming.
Phenomenology is the mixing and constant flux of the five elements: solid, liquid, gas, space and heat. The five elements are interdependent and are created from one another. For anything to be solid, it must have been liquid previously. For anything to be liquid, heat is required, for eons, the sun has Caused the earth to relive in a manner that H20 remains in liquid form in a narrow temperature range of zero to a hundred degrees. This is a feat of wondrous exactitude as temperatures in the cosmos range from negative to positive infinity. In order to have heat, some combustive gas is required. All this interplay occurs in space, which is the mother element. Matter occupies infinitely less then one zillionth of cosmic space, where the Leela लीला of phenomenology takes place.
Science limits itself to this zillionth of cosmic space occupied by matter. Hence, it has been said that science is an incomplete philosophy, but philosophy is complete science oncologists posit that we are pure spirit, trying to learn how to be human. At birth, we are pure; pure consciousness. The difficulty lies not in being pure consciousness, but in being human. Completely alien to our being, we are constantly trying to master manmade functions ranging from table mannered to law, family governance to human love. It’s a come down, a ‘thud’ keeps us in febrile fever. Ontology is the science of the unchangeable, undivided, pure consciousness. Knowledge of pure consciousness makes us realise that the entire universe is nothing but consciousness. I Am That. I am the entire universe, and the functioning of the universe is my responsibility. The brain is incapable of grasping the essence of ontology – It can only categories, divide and choose, assuming separateness, that there are two to choose from. The higher the IQ, the more divisive the brain, since pure consciousness is one, the brain. Since pure consciousness is one, the brain cannot grasp it in a thousand lifetimes.
To know your being or virginal ontological being or virginal ontological state is to resolve, ‘I am a pure virgin’. A virgin is one who is untouched by man. Hence, no thought emanating from any man can touch you. No political, economic or scientific theism penetrates your pure state. The very concept of a universe is a creation of man; even the creator is a creation of man. If the universe and god do exist, they are a part of your pure consciousness. Once stabilsed in your virgin state, everything that emanates from you is pure. Thus, Christ emanates from the Virgin Mary. This is no mere historical phenomenon; it is happening moment to moment, even as you grasp this, as only your virgin purity can. If only Christ had said. “You are the Son of God”, instead of seeing purity only in himself…
What the world calls knowledge, ontologists define as ignorance. Armed with this ignorance, they can be billionaires, presidents or physicists. Even as they watch, their wealth will be surpassed, nations subjugated, scientific ideas bombed. They are at the feet of the masters of ontology, the masters of truth. Newton defined truth as ‘that which is invariant in all frames of reference ‘. All frames of reference lean on the inventive constructs of time and space. Ontologists would simply say that they are changeable and hence are untruths – even by Newton’s definition. Know the truth will set you free. The phenomenological world will be at your beck and call. Pity, you’ll have no use for it, having sublimated it…

God and Nature
Of all parts of Nature, only man puts his own interest before the needs of the system. How we can operate according to the altruistic laws of Nature, which is the same as God.
"Every molecule, every cell, every organ ... has self-interest. When every level in the body shows its self-interest, it forces negotiations among the levels. This is the secret of Nature. Every moment in our body, these negotiations drive our systems to harmony."
The cells in organisms unite by reciprocal giving for the sake of sustaining the whole body. Each cell in the body receives what it needs for its sustenance, and spends the rest of its energy tending to the rest of the body. At every level of Nature, the individual works to benefit the whole of which it is a part, and in that finds its wholeness. Without selfless activities, a body cannot persist. In fact, life itself cannot persist.
Science acknowledge that the biggest, if not the only, problem with our world are we. Below are two examples of such states of mind:
"I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image"
"And in simple words we shall say that the nature of each and every individual is to exploit the lives of all other people in the world for his own benefit, and all that he gives to another is only out of necessity. Even in that there is exploitation, but it is done cunningly, so that his friend will not feel it"
Thousands of scientists, judging by the latest reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, already state that we must stop working against Nature, as we have been doing for centuries, and begin to work in harmony with it. They explain that Nature already knows what to do and when to do it. If we only get out of the way, things will sort themselves out. Just as each body has its immune system; Nature has mechanisms that maintain its balance.
This balance is a dynamic equilibrium controlled by interrelated regulation mechanisms, in which Nature thinks not of particular elements within it, but of the whole system. Just imagine the havoc our body would fall into, if each organ cared only for its own good, instead of caring for the good of the whole body.
In such a state, organs would steal blood vessels from one another, denying neighbouring organs nourishment and oxygen. Organs producing antibodies would direct them against other organs because other organs would be considered foreign bodies, and the ones with the strongest antibodies would destroy the other organs. Soon, very soon, the body would die, and its self-centred organs would die with it. When such a process happens in an organism, it is called "cancer."
The fact that Nature does exist and that it isn't destroying itself every single moment is proof that Nature does not work egoistically. It is a proof that Nature works as a system, putting the well-being of the system before the well-being of its parts. When the system's needs come before the needs of the part, it is called "altruism." In an altruistic system, the particular elements constantly contribute to the system, whether it is an organism or a human society.
Humans, in almost every aspect, are just another animal species. But there is one aspect in which we are different from Nature: We put our own interest before the interest of the system. This is the essence of egoism. We don't need to teach animals, plants or rocks how to behave. Their behaviour is always in harmony with Nature, altruistic, putting the system's needs before their own. This is why when prey animals hunt, they hunt only enough to sustain themselves, and thus maintain the natural balance of their habitat.
But humans don't hunt to eat; they hunt to gain wealth, to exploit. This is why we have penalties for poaching. The only problem with the human race is that, unlike animals, it runs on an egoistic "operating system" instead of an altruistic one. To mend ourselves and to stop disrupting Nature's homeostasis, we need to install an altruistic operating system instead of our current, faulty system.
And to find the missing disk, we need to go to the "program vendor," the Creator. The words "God" and "Nature" are synonymous. This is why they have the same numeric value: 86.
We can replace the egoistic disk with an altruistic one, and today, when many already recognize that a real change of heart is necessary, they are stepping to the fore and introducing it to the world.
Just as we turn to the program vendor when software we install doesn't work, when human nature fails us, we must ask the "nature vendor" to provide us with one that works properly.
The Creator is a force of love and wants to bestow His love. Hence, He created in us a desire to receive delight and pleasure. As a result, all our choices aim to increase our pleasure or decrease our pain. Every mineral, plant, animal, or person wants only one thing: to feel pleasure or avoid pain. Without the prospect of future pleasure, we simply cannot live.
The belief that in the future we will be happy is what we call "hope." When we say, "I'm hopeful," we really mean that we believe in the likelihood of experiencing joy and pleasure in the future. Otherwise, what can we be hopeful about? Thus, all our choices reflect our desire for pleasure.

Even a person may have committed misdeeds and insulted his own being, but still if he sincerely expresses his regret and submits his plea before himself to forget all that he had done and seeks his own pardon. Its soul, which is pure, and is a part, of the almighty. The protection is bound to come. This is one of His (GOD) greatest fruits and inimitable. He (GOD) does not look into the past of a person. Who repents but goes into his real intentions. It is nature’s convenient to grant asylum to anyone irrespective of caste, sex, or status, provided he is anxious to get totally reformed from his past.
There are many that believe that life is for enjoyment and that so long as they remain in the world, they must taste pleasure. On the other hand there are others who have tamed their mind, controlled their senses, and diverted their entire attention and realization towards the reality of life and nature. The person, who has achieved this will automatically, will get the enjoyment of worldly affairs. This is again the reality of nature and life.
Divine law ordains that happiness and sorrow are part of man’s life. Success will follow failures, and joy will trail grief. But the usual tendency among mortals is to get dejected when made to face problems and forget God when immersed in worldly activities.
Some may ask whether sacred literatures are easy to digest the doctrines embedded therein or understand the import of the episodes. The very rendering of the verses will make the listeners easily grasp the contents. A patient who is asked by a physician to take a few tablets simply purchases them and consumes them as directed, without examining the constituents- chemicals, which go to make the make the medicine. The Mantras in the holy text will confer boons. The manner in which the various characters view with each other to strictly observe the provisions of the moral law will make people emulate their example.
One of the primary lessons in almost all the sacred literature is to make us realize that the other man is more intelligent than we are; we should not under the misapprehension that we are the wisest.
Guidelines to make life happy – Sages and Saints, Out of their deep knowledge and personal experience, have left a rich legacy of religious postulates and guidelines as how people can make their lives happy and peaceful. If the mental condition of a person is perfect, there can be no room for misadventures and wrong pursuits. If the wonderful ideas left by the God’s deputies are zealously followed. There will be no need to feel agitated or depressed.
But to-day society witnesses violence and feels totally dejected all because of the disinclination to uphold the directives prescribed by ancient wisdom. The divine messengers have strictly prohibited us from uttering lies but many of us in the present day are embodiments of falsehood. Even an insect should not be injured; they have stipulated but we now find not only killing of animals but human beings, out of sheer selfishness.
While happiness and grief alternate in every one’s life, the affected person can always pray to God to grant him the strength to bear the agony. When in difficulty, he should be in a position to smile. Man should learn to transform sorrow into joy, how to achieve the same. Shri Krishna श्री कृष्ण in His message – Geeta,गीता Arjuna अर्जुन symbolizes human aspirations and weakness. Shri Krishna श्री कृष्ण was equally astonished. When Kunti- कुंती (The mother of the Pandavas पांडव ), who proved that righteousness always triumph, sought a born from Him that she should even be immersed in difficulties, as then alone there could be total report with Him, otherwise the chances of forgetting the presence of the divine are great.

32. Life is full of Problem-
Life is not easy and simple but it is filled with many problems that can never be solved. Every single situation demands that we review all the options before we can come to any solution.
We should not worry and become upset because we cannot solve problems permanently and forever. Sometimes we have partial solutions to the problems. But we should not forget that way solution brings new problems. This does not mean that we should not try partial solutions. Each of us has abilities but we have to develop these abilities to overcome a problem. Abilities without efforts are nothing.
Many times in life we put the cart before the horse. We do not put things in proper perspective and therefore, we come to false conclusions. It is very difficult to know what the right way to solve our problems is.
Sometimes we must confront them head on. Other times, we must be flexible, diplomatic and be willing to zig and zag and maybe even backtracks a little in order to solve them. We must overcome our obstacles in order to thrive and grow.
Life is filled with all sorts of unexpected twists and turns. Life is filled with darkness, thunder and lightning. Tears are inevitable in life but there is still also a lot of joy in life and we can feel that joy.
The light, the joy must be refracted through the tears. But life can still bring us happiness and joy like the rainbow. It is the love and concern for each other, which allows us to overcome all obstacles. It is the love and concern of our parents, which allows us and still allows us to overcome the many trials and tribulations of life.
One of the difficult problems in life is how can we be reconciled with our enemies. In life, there will always be disputes, exchange of words, threats and blows. This happens within families, friends, within and between Nations. War many times is a product of these disputes.
The major problem on earth is not the bomb or nuclear or chemical weapons. These are actually the products of the problems. The main problem is that the human imagination has not yet expanded to the point where it comprehends its own essential unity.
That these unfortunates/seek after the goodness whose source within they bear this golden verse of Pythagoras reveals the meaning of life, which has been cursed and poisoned by none else but human beings themselves. Pythagoras says that people who go on seeking and searching for bliss and happiness are unfortunate. No body has cursed them, they have cursed themselves.
We are constantly running after power, position and self in the hope that they will provide happiness but we are sadly mistaken. We are searching for happiness in the outside worlds whereas the source of happiness is within us. This is the folly we commit.
Seeking means we are running after something – some shadow, illusion, dream, desire. And it is this desire, dream that makes life miserable. What Pythagoras says in not different from what Buddha said: that we suffer on account of our desire. Here both Buddha and Pythagoras spell the same message to drop the desire, which means to stop running after something and to stop running after something means to drop the mind. Mind always thinks in terms of achievements. To achieve more money, high flying post and much popularity. Mind exists through goals, mind exists in the future.
That’s why human suffering is tremendous. In suffering we run towards temples, mosques, synagogues, churches etc but alas! Our suffering doesn’t come to an end. Even when we go to the temples and mosques to offer prayers, we go with our minds that are with some goals and desires in our minds.
That’s why Pythagoras says, “Don’t be goal-oriented. Goal –orientation is the way of mind. Mind exists in ambition, in future. So drop the mind that is, to live in the stage of no-mind.”
Pythagoras calls those peoples unfortunate who live in the mind, who live in the tomorrow. And when one lives in the tomorrow, he automatically lives in the yesterday also. But the yesterday is no more and the tomorrow is not yet. Between the two is the present moment, which we have been missing and unfortunately we are sandwiched between theses two falsities.
Our misery is our whole invention. Nature knows no future; nature is always here – this very moment. The enlightened person lives in no-mind. No- mind is enlightenment.
The Enlightened one can’t be goal-oriented for he has no future, for him all is present. The stage of mindlessness is the stage of being religious – when no desire exists, no passion exists. Buddha बुधः laid emphasis on meditation that simply means no-mind-stage of “mindlessness”. But the term mindlessness should not be confused with the term “unmindful”. Buddha बुधः says that it is possible only when we drop our egos. The moment ego disappears, everything becomes crystal clear inside. And when there is no body inside, only god remains. When one disappears, he appears. Then whole existence overflows with godliness.
Our concept of god varies. To some he may be a stern old man with a stick. To others a loving, forgiving father. Mira says: mane chakar rakho ji- allow me to be a servant in your house. This is the essence of Bhakti. भक्ती Simple.
The teachings of all faiths are good. We distort them in application to suit ourselves. Religion is a personal, private affair. Why rob it of its dignity? The time tested and old set of values to be treasured is honesty, sincerity, love, courtesy, compassion, thoughtfulness and concern for others.
If these are observed and practiced in our daily lives, is that not religion? Is that not what god expects out of us? Surely it is the way we lead our lives and our relationship and behavior towards others that is religion, a way of life. What is the purpose of prayers recited mechanically according to ritual if observed without sincerity and then we express negative actions that against those principles in testing times?
We don’t have to comprehend each and every ritual. It is more important to be a good human being – this is what god expects of each one of us irrespective of our religion. It does not matter which festival we celebrate: Diwali, दीपावली Christmas or id. Similarly it does not matter if the child that is born is a male or female. Any child is a blessing to be cherished and treated the same way with love and kindness.
Each one of us is not merely a physical being. Every one of us possesses four distinct personalities within ourselves:
1. The physical, 2. The mental,
3. The intellectual and 4. The spiritual.
The modern world, with all its activities- domestic, commercial, social national or international- has taken up objective service as the basis for establishing the manifestoes of human rights under the false conclusion that each individual is a mere human.
Materialism served by science can only conclude that more food, adequate clothing, better shelter, more leisure and education will ensure happiness for everyone, in short, people are not considered much different from animals that are aware only of their physical existence.
If we, like the great thinker philosophers, divide humans into four distinct personalities, we can analyze how each of these act and react with each other, and how they can be developed and integrated through the process of concentration, contemplation and meditation.
There’s so much food in restaurants and stores and yet many die of starvation. The existence of food in the world is no guarantee against people starving. Even though food is in front of us, unless we take it and have the strength to assimilate it, our own health doesn’t improve.
Similarly, the Masters lay down rules and codes of conduct and explain the greater reality in life. Their words of wisdom make us aware of the other three personalities within us, besides the body. We have to digest these ideas and assimilate them to make them our own.
It’s painful to weed out the mind of lust, make it tranquil and then replant it with new ideas. In the generations in which many recognized and lived the educated values and moral virtues, there was more peace and progress. But when, as in our times, morals and ethics are discarded and true religion is misunderstood because of false fanaticism and the baseless arguments of secularism, we find immorality, corruption and faithlessness in every field.
Yet, when we look around us, we see how the Masters are still serving the world. There are many evidences of their contributions everywhere. In great Master such as Sri Swami Vivekananda स्वामी विवेकानंद we see perfection in behavior and a heart overflowing with kindness and patience. Their words of wisdom spring out from the heart soaked with sincere and subjective experience.
It is a world of futile search for happiness. After all, who is not in the race for that ever-eluding phenomenon called happiness? What he is laboring hard for day and night vanishes, like the mirage, in the vast boundless desert (The dreamy world of materialism). Man soon finds that the happiness he has supposedly earned after a Herculean effort is clouded by illusion. It is a satiation that is fleeting and leaves him still unhappy. Plenty or everything, sex, violence, barb threats, the inebriating swill at the cocktail parties, and all the mundane amenities at his back and call, thanks to the staging strides of science and technology and only finite dawns on him only very late in life. The resources that the modern society has squandered in stack pilling weapons of destruction are militarisation of outer space would have released man from the thralldom of the ages if we had started exploring the “Inner Space.” Everyone can listen to his inner voice that guides him to the path of rectitude, but in these days of wanton materialistic atrophying man has stopped listening.
All the masters of world religion have taught man the quintessence of real bliss, and to extricate mankind from the mine of the cycle of misery. God has been sending to earth great souls like Lord Krishna, भगवान् कृष्णा the Buddha, बुधः Sri Sankaracharaya, श्री शंकराचार्य Chaitanya, चैतन्य Ramakrishna Paramhansa, रामाकृष्णा परमहंस Kabir,कबीर Guru Nanak, गुरु नानक and Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Swami Vivekananda स्वामी विवेकानंद and others. The modern world gasping for the fresh air of spiritualism, can forget the eternal gospel if these great souls only at the risk of a great catastrophe.
For a long time the Hindu religion had remained the preserve of only a few. It was Sankaracharya शंकराचार्य who first made earnest efforts to popularize it through authoritative commentaries. Century's later Ramakrishna Paramhansa रामाकृष्णा परमहंस took up the work of the great Adyaita अद्वित्य philosopher and interpreted the great religion in such a simple way that even the most illiterate could follow it. The world saturated with the bitter fruits of a soulless technology based civilization look to India as the only oasis of eternal hope. To Ramakrishna रामाकृष्णा religion was a way of life, his life was bold and unassailable answer to those who spurned religion as the crutches for the old when the entire world forsake them including their own children. But a person who had never thought about God all his life, how could he think about him all of a sudden at the time of death? The old man would still be obsessed with his bank balance, the fate of his shares, the marriage of his daughter, a job for his son and scores of other worries.
The majority of us do not know that we are shackled in the evanescent pleasures of the mundane would until the pain inherent in these trifling sensual escapisms starts making us miserable beyond measure. Ramakrishna रामाकृष्णा cautioned the world against being carried away by the swift current of Sansara संसार the glitter of fame, name, and fame, live in the world, but the world should not live in you. Like the lotus though rooted in mud aspiring to heaven man should lock beyond the fluting objects. “The boat should be in water, but the water should not be in boat.” How simple it looks? This myth was exploded by the eternal message of the Bhagawad Geeta, भगवत गीता The great Sankaracharya, शंक्रचार्य्या and other seraphic matters। The master of Swami Vivekananda स्वामी विवेकानंद used to say that we shed tears for the non-fulfillment of our worldly desires.
The yogi योगी immersed in his cauldron of true happiness and bliss conjures up the image of a being, which is alone in this vast ocean of humanity। He is a part of, yet remains quite apart and is ever growing in his knowledge of god’s will for him and having the power to carry out the role god has planned or determined for him। In the yogi योगी one finds a cosmic whole that far from being in the nature of a black hole is more in the nature of a quasar brightest object in the universe. Against the backdrop of a chaotic society and humdrum of today’s turbulent life, it is a relaxed state free of stress. He is one who observes the goings on and plays of samsara with a witness-like attitude or Shakshi-ending roller coaster with undistinguished equanimity. He is not perturbed, nor is the unduly excited.
It is not that the pattern of the yogi’s योगी life stays unchanged. The external environment is always in a flux of change for him just as it is for all of us but the योगी remains undaunted and rarely influenced. Just as in the laws pertaining to nature there are a few eclipses and occasional leap years, so too are minor disturbances and infiltration to a yogi योगी calm. All alone, however, he is detached and free from the clutched of samara.संसार He is now beyond Dukha। दुख:।
The greed to get- rich- quick may even make them resort to illegal methods though they may possess enormous wealth; this has to be curbed.
(Alferd B Ford, the great Grandson of the Legendary Henry Ford, was born into one of American richest families, the tycoon who gave the world the Motor Car and the assembly line. As he himself says that he belong to a family which has everything, still there was unhappiness and frustration.)
But the spiritual guides are like the clouds, which bears the evaporated water from the sea, and empty it elsewhere on the standee crops. These types of people will spread essence of love. Associating with there spiritual guides should be considered a privilege.
He who is happy himself has the capability of making other human beings happy. Happiness comes from within. It is a state of mind and, of course, it is the mind. That guides the body. And pray. What is it that guides both mind and body! Well, it is the Atama. It is the soul that gives an individual his or her permanent identity.
“The woman crying, because a son is not born to her, another crying, that he is unemployed, the employed one crying, that he is not getting any promotion, another worried about, the profit of his business, the thief worries, that he should not be nabbed, the householder prays, that his house should not be burgled, while he is away, this goes on.
But who on earth cries that he has not been able to see God? So we suffer like, as Sri Ramakrishna says, the camel in the desert which goes on Nibbling at the prickly plant despite the fact that its mouth bleeds. For a householder to tread the path of devotion amounts walking on the razor’s edge and if he succeeds, he is greater then a devoted saint. He better sees up his contention with an interesting anecdote.
