COMMON SENSE / KNOWLEDGE -

All of us whether we possess knowledge or whether we are ignorant or God –fearing or God-haters, have one thing in common, no one wants grief. Everybody desires to be immersed in happiness. We are upset when contrary to expectations; we are made to face problems where things ought to have gone smooth. When we anticipate complications in a particular situation, the reverse happens and all ends well. The usual explanation offered for this phenomenon is that our acts and the fruits we enjoy depend on our noble deeds or our sins in the past. How are sin and virtue to be defined? Those acts which please God are considered as “pious” while those that contravene the divine commands are categorised as sin. This leads to question that this God is and what are His traits?

There are several methods by which the presence of God can be established but they may have limitations. God’s existence can be proceed by inference but even then arguments may be advanced to brand Him as suffering from certain disqualifications, Here steps in the Vedas and their clear utterance.

In Cricket, as in life, we face different kinds of bowling – various types of problems, medical, social, political etc. if you are a specialist in one field, e.g. a doctor, then you can solve problems in that field, but when other problems come, you don’t know what to do. Hence, whether it is a loss of health, wealth or emotional disturbance one must know how to face these problems. The difficulty is that we try to face the world with a little bat our university degree. What is the bat with which we should play the game of life? It is that of right discrimination or understanding are completely different.

Our own knowledge is killing us because discrimination on how to use and where to use that knowledge is not there. A short story clearly illustrates this. Their friends parted ways for studying and met after five years. The first one had learnt to put a dead body together; the second one had gathered expertise on how to give life to a dead body while the third had studied about life. They came across a dead tiger cut up in pieces by a hunter.

The first one put the pieces together and asked the second one to give life to it. The third friend cautioned them against it but went up a tree when they refused. The second one gave life to the tiger. Who on getting his life back killed the two friends? Unfortunately, their own knowledge killed them because they were not discriminating about where and how to use it. Discrimination is Rare. Swami Vivekananda स्वामी विवेकानंद said, “The most uncommon thing in the world is common sense.”

The best example of using knowledge discriminately is found in the Mahabhatra महाभारत . Sri Krishna श्री कृष्णा the prime example of one who faced all difficult situations with a smile. The three stumps in our life are the Body, Mind and Intellect. The intellect is different from the faculty of discrimination. When there is a difficult situation or problem, on becomes physically upset and intellectually confused. One cannot find stumps have fallen and one feels dejected with life. But that’s not the way to face difficult situations, one has to stay alert and calm always. And by using the right discriminatory powers we can protect our will being.

Knowledge is divided between phenomenology, science of the changeable and ontology, science of the unchangeable, ontology is the realm of beings and phenomenology that of becoming.

Phenomenology is the mixing and constant flux of the five elements: solid, liquid, gas, space and heat. The five elements are interdependent and are created from one another. For anything to be solid, it must have been liquid previously. For anything to be liquid, heat is required, for eons, the sun has Caused the earth to relive in a manner that H20 remains in liquid form in a narrow temperature range of zero to a hundred degrees. This is a feat of wondrous exactitude as temperatures in the cosmos range from negative to positive infinity. In order to have heat, some combustive gas is required. All this interplay occurs in space, which is the mother element. Matter occupies infinitely less then one zillionth of cosmic space, where the Leela लीला of phenomenology takes place.

Science limits itself to this zillionth of cosmic space occupied by matter. Hence, it has been said that science is an incomplete philosophy, but philosophy is complete science oncologists posit that we are pure spirit, trying to learn how to be human. At birth, we are pure; pure consciousness. The difficulty lies not in being pure consciousness, but in being human. Completely alien to our being, we are constantly trying to master manmade functions ranging from table mannered to law, family governance to human love. It’s a come down, a ‘thud’ keeps us in febrile fever. Ontology is the science of the unchangeable, undivided, pure consciousness. Knowledge of pure consciousness makes us realise that the entire universe is nothing but consciousness. I Am That. I am the entire universe, and the functioning of the universe is my responsibility. The brain is incapable of grasping the essence of ontology – It can only categories, divide and choose, assuming separateness, that there are two to choose from. The higher the IQ, the more divisive the brain, since pure consciousness is one, the brain. Since pure consciousness is one, the brain cannot grasp it in a thousand lifetimes.

To know your being or virginal ontological being or virginal ontological state is to resolve, ‘I am a pure virgin’. A virgin is one who is untouched by man. Hence, no thought emanating from any man can touch you. No political, economic or scientific theism penetrates your pure state. The very concept of a universe is a creation of man; even the creator is a creation of man. If the universe and god do exist, they are a part of your pure consciousness. Once stabilsed in your virgin state, everything that emanates from you is pure. Thus, Christ emanates from the Virgin Mary. This is no mere historical phenomenon; it is happening moment to moment, even as you grasp this, as only your virgin purity can. If only Christ had said. “You are the Son of God”, instead of seeing purity only in himself…

What the world calls knowledge, ontologists define as ignorance. Armed with this ignorance, they can be billionaires, presidents or physicists. Even as they watch, their wealth will be surpassed, nations subjugated, scientific ideas bombed. They are at the feet of the masters of ontology, the masters of truth. Newton defined truth as ‘that which is invariant in all frames of reference ‘. All frames of reference lean on the inventive constructs of time and space. Ontologists would simply say that they are changeable and hence are untruths – even by Newton’s definition. Know the truth will set you free. The phenomenological world will be at your beck and call. Pity, you’ll have no use for it, having sublimated it…
