Does Evil Exist?

This has a thought provoking message no matter how you believe...

The professor of a university challenged his students with this question: "Did God create everything that exists?"

A student answered bravely, "Yes, he did!"

The professor then asked, "If God created everything, then he created evil. पहिले भगवान ने आदमी बनाया फिर औरत बनाई और फिर सैतान बनाया . Since evil exists (as noticed by our own actions), so God is evil." The student couldn't respond to that statement causing the professor to conclude that he had "proved" that "belief in a benevolent God" was a fairy tale, and therefore worthless.

Another student raised his hand and asked the professor, "May I pose a question?"
"Of course," answered the professor.

The young student stood up and asked: "Professor, does cold exist?"

The professor answered, "What kind of question is that? Of course cold exists... have you never been cold?"

The young student answered, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Absolute Zero is the total absence of heat, but cold does not exist as such. What we have done is created a term to describe how we feel if we don't have body heat or we are not hot. And, does darkness exist?", he continued.

The professor answered, "Of course."

This time the student responded, "Again you're wrong, Sir. Darkness is, in reality, the absence of light. We can study light, but not darkness. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present." Finally, the student asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

The student responded, "Evil does not exist, Sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold - a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love, that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light. Sir, you are wrong."

"Evil does NOT exist!"

Evil is simply the absence of God. Therefore always remember the God

Positive Thoughts
Like Champagne, Make Your Life Sparkle

Stuff happens. What happens is neither good nor bad. It merely is. But we, in our attempt to understand everything, stick labels on things. We call things big or small, hot or cold, smooth or rough. These descriptive words can help, but where we go astray is when we label things as `good' or `bad.' These two words (and other negative and positive words) do not describe reality; they merely describe how we FEEL at the moment.

For instance, as I write this, it is raining and the sky is grey. Suppose a friend calls from another city and asks me what the weather is like. If I were to answer, "The weather is lousy," that does not describe what is happening outside (the weather), but what is happening inside (my feelings). We cannot master life until we master how we describe it, for the words we use determine how we feel. Does it make sense to describe a rainy day as `lousy'? Why would I want to feel bad?

Suppose I had answered my friend's question differently. If I had stuck to the facts and said, "It is raining and the sky is grey," then I would have been detached from the events (rain and grey sky) and free to go on enjoying life. The way we see things is not based on reality but, on a choice we make. Why not choose to see things pragmatically. That is, pick a viewpoint that works for you, empowers you. Why spend time choosing a viewpoint that works against you and prevents you from getting the most out of life?

Suppose you lived at the foot of a mountain. Would you see the mountain as a glorious opportunity for adventure by conquering it and yourself? Or would you see it as requiring too much effort to scale and just an inconvenient barrier? "An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered; an adventure is an inconvenience rightly considered."

A mountain is whatever we say it is, inconvenience or adventure. So it is with life. The choice of how we look at it is a switch that fills our lives with light or darkness. Why is it that many people still don't realize that it is THEIR FINGER that is on the switch? I choose to see life as a magnificent adventure, not a struggle that I have to put up with. As a result, I have known and continue to experience many adventures.

Today, many of us work with computers. Although I love computers, every now and then something goes wrong, such as misplacing a file. But when something goes amiss, it is not because the computer doesn't like me or life is unfair, but because I did something wrong. I try to learn from my mistake and avoid making similar errors again. I'm sure you behave in the same way.

Yet, when it comes to managing the greatest computer of all (our brain and mind), many act differently. When they get bad results, rather than trying to learn from what they did incorrectly, they search for scapegoats. Instead of seeking solutions they search for excuses.

Many computer users are familiar with the term GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out), which simply means that the results we get are only as good as the input. The same is true for the computer that controls my life (my brain and mind). If I put garbage in my mind (negative thoughts), the output will be garbage (an unhappy life).

It is essential that we clearly understand the relationship between our thoughts and the life we experience. If I insist on dwelling on negative thoughts, I will feel negative, which will lead to negative behaviour, which in turn will bring about negative results. Of course, when I choose to focus on the positive, the opposite happens. In a word, what I choose to think about acts as a switch that either opens the blinds, flooding my life with light, or closes the blinds, shutting out the light.

Since we have a choice, doesn't it make sense to look at life as an exciting adventure? Many have already done so, and here are two examples:

1. "Never forget that life can only be nobly inspired and rightly lived if you take it bravely and gallantly, as a splendid adventure in which you are setting out into an unknown country, to meet many a joy, to find many a comrade, to win and lose many a battle."

2. "What we get from this adventure is just sheer joy. And joy is, after all, the end of life. We do not live to eat and make money. We eat and make money to be able to enjoy life. That is what life means and what life is for."

Before we can make the right choices, we have to be aware of our choices.

"All men and women are born, live, suffer and die; what distinguishes us one from another is our dreams, whether they are dreams about worldly or unworldly things and what we do to make them come about... We do not choose to be born. We do not choose our parents. We do not choose our historical epoch, the country of our birth, or the immediate circumstances of our upbringing. We do not, most of us, choose to die; nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death. But within this realm of choicelessness, WE DO CHOOSE HOW WE LIVE."

Thus far I have been emphasizing the power of choice for good reason, but in all fairness, not everyone is equally free to make the right choices. You and I will choose to cross the street when the light is green and choose to wait when the light is red. But what if you are blind? Well, depressed people are blind. They cannot see the joy, wonder, and glory that surround them. Not because they are lazy or stupid, but because they suffer from a mental disorder. So, if you know some very negative people, try not to judge them harshly and wish them well.

Adventure is the champagne of life. Like champagne, make your life sparkle. But what of those who have not yet discovered that life is an adventure? What can they do to bring themselves closer to this empowering point of view? Developing the curiosity, courage, and commitment of a child would help.

Children are filled with insatiable curiosity. Each step they take is a step into the unknown. What will they discover next? What will they encounter around the corner? They lead the life of an adventurer and explorer. They don't understand the meaning of `boring.' You were once that child and you have the right to reclaim that inquisitive spirit.

It's not hard to do so. Start by shifting your attention away from that empty, banal chatter that clutters your mind and focus on what is happening around you now. What do you hear? Can you tune in on something enchanting or fascinating? Be curious. Search for it. Find it.

Do the same with your other senses. For instance, how many of the surrounding odours, aromas, or fragrances can you identify? How many of them were you ignoring or overlooking? Let's try the other senses. What about touch? Can you feel the warmth or coolness of your environment? Where do you feel it most?

How about taste? Lick your lips. How do they taste? Why do they taste that way? Is it because of something you ate or drank or because of the environment (the rain or a sea breeze)? Look around you. What do you see that is interesting or different? These exercises help to draw us out of the fantasy world of our imagination and replant us in reality. How can we enjoy life if we are unaware of its presence?

Also, be curious about your own mind. Explore it. Rather than ignoring the chatter of your mind, observe it. What are you usually thinking about? Are your thoughts helpful or harmful? If harmful, what thoughts should you replace them with?

Because every step a child takes is a step into the unknown, it takes great courage to continue on its journey of discovery. Courage is the second trait of a child that we need to reclaim. For without it, our journey may come to an abrupt halt.

"When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and you take the first step into the darkness of the unknown. You must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for you to stand upon or you will be taught to fly."

Here are two more lessons about courage:

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."
"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."

As young children explore their world, they may slip, stumble, or stagger, but if they fall, they simply pick themselves up and go on again. This is the third characteristic of children that we need to reclaim, commitment. Those who are committed, never give up. Their mindset doesn't allow it. To them, there is no such thing as failure, only lessons to be learned. Of course, we are free to ignore our lessons and drop out of life's school, but at what price?

"It takes courage to push yourself to places that you have never been before... to test your limits... to break through barriers.

"And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

Within you is a bud waiting to blossom. It is a little child with curiosity, courage, and commitment, that is eager to participate in the adventure we call life. Are you willing to embrace that child, take it by the hand, and join it on its remarkable journey?

Fear of Death-2

Death is as good a part of life as the life itself. Without death... life itself could not have existed. Unless the present body decays and die... our soul the atman within can never look forward to getting a new body (a new phase of life) in next manifestation.

For the cosmic system to continue... death plays a very important role!

It is not death that is to be feared... it is our wanton desires and the vices which must be feared most. It is they that shall result in our accumulating negative balance of karma. This would have disastrous results in the life of our atman the soul within.

In the present Kali Yuga phase of life (the present metal age)... we need to remember that it is the doctrine of karma that is governing! It has also been advocated by the most revered spiritual master of the present era that it is karma and only karma that shall play the most vital role in the life of every human being. And the need of the hour is performing karma which brings us a positive balance of life... to be carried onward to next life!

If we have lived a truly negative life in the present Kali Yuga phase of life... that phase of life which has totally remained hidden from the society... we cannot expect to earn merits out of it. In the cosmic hierarchy we shall again be born on a lower platform of life for nothing is hidden from the Almighty God.

We get paid for what our true actions have been and not that which were projected to the society. George Bush may be a nice president for some but it is for certain that he won the presidency of the USA based on some folly created during the counting of the votes. If he has erred in his decisions... he shall face the music in next manifestation.

The punishment in the system of God is automatic. As we perform so shall be our next phase of life. Performing negative karma can never yield positive results. Merely hoping for a good life ahead shall not fructify for our actions have been totally contrary to what we really desired in life.

Take the case of Bill Gates... the founding architect of the famous Windows program and the CEO of Microsoft Corporation. On his web site you shall find that he does not prefer giving donations to religious organizations. He is hundred percent right for so many religious organizations have cropped up overnight that it becomes difficult to differentiate the genuine from the frauds.

What actually Bill Gates forgets is... it is the field of pure spirituality that plays the governing role. Religion does not require funds. It is the field of pure spirituality that can bring about a quantum change in the society. If Jesus Christ were to descend today and had he desired some funds for works he may have liked to perform then as per the doctrine of Bill Gates it was a clear no to Jesus Christ. Here Bill Gates is in the wrong.

The John Templeton foundation is doing a wonderful job for it helps the spiritual masters of the day with a million-dollar prize. Probably he has more of understanding of the subject than Bill Gates. Glory is to the John Templeton foundation which may have really helped many in doing what they truly desired from the heart but were always deficient of funds.

The Melinda Gates foundation has already pledged millions of dollars for AIDS but to what purpose. AIDS is required to be eradicated from the roots... not merely treated. The eradication can only be caused by the highest spiritual master of the day. Unless the humanity realizes the gravity of the situation and stops wanton indulgences... and bids goodbye to the promiscuous behaviour... the evil of AIDS just cannot be contained.

Imagine in some of the Western countries... every second or third child is born a bas…..d One who has been born out of wedlock even before the parents were married? What a shame the society is being put to! Life is supposed to be lived freely but we cannot overrule the domain of God. Even Jesus Christ never advocated such practices nor does Bible favour such incidents.

Merely donating funds and earning name and fame shall not earn merits for either Bill Gates or the Melinda Gates foundation. It is the balance of karma at the end part of life that shall decide what the next manifestation of Bill Gates is. In the system of God such charities and donations carry no meaning. Bill Gates would always be remembered for what he truly did for the society and not the quantum of donations he ever made.

On the contrary look at the life of Madame Curie... the famous lady who discovered radium for the benefit of mankind. In the process of pitching out radium from the pitchblende ore she lost her body from overdoses of radiation. She lived for the society... she cared for the humanity... she gave away her life for a very noble cause.

She was truly an embodiment of God... she bluntly refused to place any royalty on her discovery. Radium as on date has immensely helped those suffering from cancer and other ailments. Millions have benefited and all that without having to pay any royalty to the departed soul or her off springs if there be any. (Madame Curie not having any children). God bless her soul.

Why leave assets for children beyond their requirements... it will only lead them to wine and dine and while away the accumulated wealth left by the ancestors! The prime care the parents need to take in respect of their children is to make them educated as they truly desire from their heart and thereafter leave them to their destiny. This is the only way we can have absolute peace of mind and cheerful children to take care of us when in need.

Talking of death... I need to surmise here that death forms a part of journey of life. It is neither a beginning nor an end in itself. Every death announces the end of the physical manifested life. For our soul the atman within it is merely the change of the garment as happens when the change of guards occur at Birmingham Palace.

It is a daily routine and similarly death is also a routine in the journey of life. Why fear the unknown. Just be after earning Punya karma (the positive balance of karma) in the present phase of life and the journey ahead... and the next manifestation would definitely be more enhanced than the present one.

“The modern tradition of equating death with an ensuing nothingness can be abandoned. For there is no reason to believe that human death severs the quality of the oneness in the universe.”

One of my friends had a stroke and has been left totally paralyzed at the age of 75. He had been told for years that he needed to stop smoking and drinking, but never did. He smoked and drank heavily for 40 years. He told his family, and put into his Advance will, that he didn't want extraordinary life support if something like a catastrophic stroke happened, yet now he wants to be on the life support rather than die. He is terrified of death.
Why do so many people have a deep fear of death?
The fear of death comes from two beliefs:
When we die, we disappear.

When we die, we will be punished for our sins. God is judgmental and we will end up in hell / Narak, heaven /Swarg or purgatory for eternity.

If you could be sure that when you die, your consciousness goes right on living—that your soul essence cannot die—would you still be afraid of death? If you knew that, you—not your ego, you but your true Self—was immortal, would you be afraid of death? If you knew that you would see all your loved ones again, would you be afraid of death? If you knew that the only judgment you would experience would be your own reliving of the choices you had made while in the body, would this scare you? If you knew that you would be coming into unconditional love and that this love would help you continue on your soul's journey, would this frighten you?

The problem is that we can't KNOW this in a left-brain scientific way. We can know it only in an intuitive way, a feeling way—remembering the truth of who we really are and what God is.

Our feelings are an inner guidance system, letting us know when we are thinking and believing in ways that are on track with what is true and right for us, and when we are off track. Thoughts such as “I'm worthless” make us feel bad because they are not true. The bad feeling is our Higher Self letting us know that we are off track in our thinking. These off-track thoughts come from our programmed mind—our ego wounded self—which is filled with false beliefs.

When you think the thought, “When I die, I will disappear”, this thought may create fear. When you think the thought, “When I die, I will go to hell / Narak, heaven /Swarg or purgatory for eternity. I will be punished for eternity for my sins,” how do you feel? The fear is letting you know that the thought is not based on truth. When you think the thought, “When I die, I will gently leave my old or sick or hurt body. I will go home and see all loved ones, and I will continue learning on my soul's journey. I will be surrounded by unconditional love, and I will be able to learn from my mistakes,” how do you feel?

From a scientific point of view, neither of these views can be proved. You cannot prove that you will disappear or go to hell any more that you can prove that you will continue to exist and your soul will continue to learn and grow. But you can know on the FEELING level which feels right and good.
You can choose to believe whatever you want to believe. Why believe something that makes you feel terrified? Why not choose to believe in what makes you feel loved and safe?

Fear of Death-1

Death has always been the most dreaded factor of life for any living being. It is not only the humans who are afraid of death... animals and other forms of life also feel the same!

What makes death the most fearful of all attributes of God? There is none who can defy death. Only after gaining self realization and enlightenment that one becomes immortal. It is this stage when the fear of death vanishes for ever. Every God realized Master and an enlightened individual finally overcomes death.

What is to death that is feared about most? Death announces the end of the physical manifested journey on Earth. Whatever be the achievements of an individual in any phase of life... be it the form of an insect, animal or the human being himself... all seems to have gone wasted!

After death of body... none remembers what the next manifestation would be! For the present being all is lost after death of body. The entity for which it lived all through in present life seems to be lost forever the moment the death of body occurs.

The achievements in present life... do they carry no value. Why does not God Almighty show mercy on human beings and increase their life span proportionate to their achievements in the physical manifested life.

It is a remote possibility that such an arrangement may have worked. Probably God Almighty did not have able advisers. People of the level of Edison and Einstein may have continued living for thousands of years. In doing so they would have immensely benefited the mankind and for God there was nothing to lose. But so was not destined by God. Why?

Why is it so that death makes an uninteresting subject! We may have laboured for a full 30~35 years... the primetime of our life having spent in creating an enormous wealth. But when comes the time for death of body... All shall be left behind. Why?

In the system of God... nothing seems to be disordered or incomplete. Stephen Hawking in his book "a Brief History of Time" has advocated that the system of God is disordered at some stage. He is absolutely in the wrong. He is trying to place his judgments based on science. There are many factors in the field of spirituality which are purely based upon faith.

The conclusions of Stephen Hawking were wrong for the complete cosmic system is without a parallel. It has no flaws... such a phenomenon can never be! Everything in whole Cosmos is governed by laws which are a creation of the Creator himself.

If death was designed by God as it stands today... then how can it be that the achievements of an individual in a particular life remained unpaid? The balance of the whole Cosmos would get disturbed on this account. The law of karma was primarily created by God to maintain this aspect of life.

It is the doctrine of karma which makes the achievements of one life carried forward to the next manifestation. It is through the chromosomes that whatever has been achieved by one in present life shall get automatically transferred to next life.

Talking of death, near death experiences, sudden death and subjects like life and death... science has a very limited role to play for it is only the parameter of faith which shall lay bare the doors of wisdom for us. Never as a scientist can one enter the domain of God.

Albert Einstein in his end part of life when he was nearing death realized the importance of having faith in the system of God. It was too late by then. He regretted not having indulged into reading Bhagavad-Gita... the foremost of all sacred Scriptures existing on Earth. He realized his folly that standing on the platform of science... talking of spirituality carried no sense.

Standing on the 30th floor of Empire State building one cannot have a glimpse of the entire New York as it would appear if one was standing on the top of the building. To have a complete view from the top we have to rise to the top. And it is only riding the ladder of faith in the system of God can one reach the highest domain of life... the 84 Lakh yoni / manifestations.

Einstein was a pearl amongst the total scientific community of his age. He was wise enough to have admitted his folly.

As was destined by God Almighty... life goes on and on. The truth is... the present physical manifest form of life carries no meaning for God Almighty. What is to be understood is that it is our soul the atman within that has taken the body and not vice versa.

All the benefits of the karma performed by the body belong to our soul the atman within and this soul is on its cosmic journey of 84 Lakh yoni / manifestations on the whole. Life moves from one manifestation to another with ease. Nothing is lost midway. Whatever be the achievements in a particular manifestation... they are definitely transferred to the next manifestation.

Life runs on truly as a balance sheet compiled by an accountant. The closing balance of the earlier manifestation becomes the opening balance of the new manifestation. Weighing things from the senses point of view the two manifestations are not related but in the world of Souls / Atmans all is part of the system of God which cannot err.

If we fathom the fact that it is our soul the atman within which is the beneficiary of all the karma performed... the hard feelings against the death of a body would not only diminish but altogether vanish.

The death of a body is merely the end of a particular phase in cosmic life. It is not the end of the journey itself. The journey was undertaken not by the body but by our soul the atman within.

The theory of evolution as confounded by Charles Darwin also proves this point. Life evolves from one manifestation to another and in the normal routine the next manifestation normally is the next step higher.

What our next manifestation would be is purely dependent upon the karma performed by an individual. If we have a negative balance of karma then our next manifestation would be of a lower level than the present one. However if we have a positive balance of karma than we are definitely bound to get elevated to the next higher platform in life on the cosmic scale!

The switchover from one manifestation to another is absolutely smooth. In present life the family weeps bereaved of the death of body in the family but for the soul atman that shall be manifesting a new phase in life is like a student waiting to get a new blazer in the next semester. A bonus indeed!
Life and death are correlated in the cosmic system of God. And the balance is maintained by the law of karma. If we understand the significance attached to our soul atman taking the body then the cause for worry of the death of body would immensely reduce.

While proceeding on any journey... we always know there has to be an end! The journey would not be complete if there was no end. The death of body announces the end of the present journey. The death announces that our soul the atman within is about to manifest another body.

It is altogether a different matter that no two manifestations are ever related. It could not have ever been. If I come to know in present life that one of my best friend was the cause of my death in one of the earlier manifestations then it shall be bloodshed thereafter. No human being would be able to ever forgive one for a grave offence like causing the death of a body.

In such matters forgiveness can be preached but it is most unlikely that one is likely to practice it. The remembrances of the past manifestations would have created animosity and chaos in whole Cosmos. The whole system of God would have failed that very moment. It was not to be.

Death announces a new life... a new journey for the soul our atman within! Where is the cause of any fear! Life is supposed to be lived. Every moment is precious. We must always remember without fail that every causation in present life results in equal reaction. The balance of karma of the present life that shall be is absolutely dependent upon the karma performed by us.

Hopes and desires carry no weightage when talking of life and death. As we perform so shall be the next manifestation. We cannot expect mangoes to grow on a guava tree... similarly no miracles ever occur in life as life is absolutely governed by doctrine of karma.

We must always put our best step forward so that the balance of karma in present life always remains positive. We must strive that the balance of positive karma enhances in present life as compared to the previous life. Only then our soul the atman within would be able to expedite its journey of reaching the stage of liberation... finally getting emancipation from the cycle of Birth and Death forever.

It is this end goal of reaching stage of enlightenment and finally the stage of Salvation Moksha in Hinduism that is the climax of cosmic life our soul the atman within is passing through. Salvation announces the end of cosmic journey for soul the atman within! One has reached the pinnacle of cosmic glory... the journey finally coming to an end.

What is Death?

When the word Death is heard, a lot of thoughts and emotions immediately come into our minds. Most of us feel fear, sadness, and loss or just simply have a sense of uneasiness come to us. Why is that? Could it be because we were taught from birth that death meant something other than what it is? That when we can no longer see someone or something, that it is dead? Non-existent? Where did this word death come from? If God created all, would he allow his creations to become non-existent? Dead? If God is Love, would He create something just to have it become non-existent in a very short period of time? After all, how could Love create death?

In our world here on earth, everything has its opposite. Happy and sad, rich and poor, light and dark, strong and weak. There is even an opposite of our true selves; Spirit and Ego. If you will notice, one part of an opposite is Positive, and the other is Negative. One part is good and the other is bad. We would always prefer the positive over the negative or the good over the bad. We would surely choose Life over Death. So where did these opposites come from? Did God create them? Or did we.

When we were created, we were created in the likeness of God. If God is all Love, then we were created as Love. An opposite did not exist. But God also created us as Free Will creatures. Free Will against what? He created us with Free Will against ourselves. He gave us Free Will to believe in our true selves (Spirit) but we chose to create an illusion self (Ego). God is Love and therefore does not make his children do or think anything. It is our choice. As we grew and experimented, we began to have more faith in what we could see. What we could not see simply did not exist. We chose appearances. We became more physical than intuitional. We became so out-of-touch with God and his Love, that we began to experience hardships. At this time we created our own God, the Ego. If you can understand this, then you will begin to see that all of the negative opposites were also created by us. All of our hardships were created by us. They are all illusions. They are not real, and that includes the Ego.

If we can understand that God is Love, and Love is positive, then the negative opposites must be NOT real. The opposites of Love such as hate, dark, fear, weak, and evil must be illusions that were made up by us as a coping mechanism to weigh against our hardships. The more that we chose appearances over our intuition, the farther away we became from the Truth. But we will never forget the Truth. We will always know right from wrong, good from bad, light from darkness. Our true self (Spirit) will never die to the illusion self (Ego), because there is no death. We will always sense the Spirit and strive for positive qualities because that's who we are. We are God's spiritual children.

So, what is death? Death must also be an illusion made up by us through fear of choosing wrong. Death is not real and is also a negative opposite that we created. It does not and cannot exist for anything. Nothing dies. The concept of death became a belief to us because our true source could not be seen and therefore did not exist. We viewed a body that no longer breathed and through our limited thinking, called this death. As soon as we can begin to accept ourselves as Spirit and a part of the unseen, the sooner we will be able to shed the illusions that we have created. What is Death? Death is nothing. There is only Life.

We die every night, every night we go to sleep, and get up in the morning in a new life. This is also a type of death. We wander here and there, see many thing in dream, miraculous scene and then in the morning we find our self in the original shape. Death what we call, is we are in deep sleep and there will be a beginning of the next life.

Is there a God? Proof God Exists!-2

Now what truly is the meaning of God Almighty? Is it not a source of unlimited energy? Something that can neither be created nor destroyed! God Almighty never has a form. It has always been Nirakaar (without a form).

Let us go to the beginning of the cosmos. Imagine a situation when the Cosmos is about to dissolve... the time of Pralaya in Hinduism. The whole Cosmos reduces back to half the size of a thumb, and what is this half a thumb. This half a thumb is what we define as God Almighty. The cluster of all purified souls / atmans in the cosmos at a given point of time is what we call God Almighty, and this is just the size of half a thumb.

Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine put forward by Lord Krishna in Mahabharata corroborates this fact. This massive energy... the God Almighty... the size of half a thumb unable to contain itself for long explodes with a big bang and results in the creation of a new Cosmos.

All purified souls / atmans thus scatter all over the Cosmos. These scattering souls atmans while spreading out in the Cosmos at unbelievable speeds gather mass. These souls / atmans continue their journey of cosmic travel until they find a planet like Earth suitable for the souls / atmans to manifest a body.

This initial travel takes souls atmans billions of years before they manifest the first body. They have by then gathered impurities along the way. To come back to their pristine glorious form... these souls atmans have no other alternative but to manifest a chain of 84 Lakh Yoni / bodies altogether... a total journey of 96.4 million earthly years... a long journey indeed!

The sooner these souls / atmans manifest the first body... starts the cycle of karma. It is only through karma that these bodies can purify themselves and remove the dross from within. The journey starts with amoeba (single cell formation), then multi-cell formation, insect life, plant life, animal life and finally the form of a human being.

Like the metal in the ore cannot separate itself... rather purify on its own... similarly souls / atmans require a body to work out their karma and purify themselves and regain the original form.

It is only when viewed from the senses point of view everything in the Cosmos appears to be solid in nature. Truthfully the whole Cosmos is made up of only atoms and molecules. There is no solid matter that ever exists in the Cosmos. God Almighty and the world of souls / atmans is the only absolute truth and everything else being the game of Maya Veil of Ignorance as expressed by Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa in his commentary on Advaita Vedanta .

Now we are clear about two things... God Almighty a potent source of energy is the only absolute truth of the cosmos. He never interferes with the working of his creation. It is the manifest theory of karma that handles the travel of soul atman from one life to another.

Here we must also understand that everything in the cosmic system has a duality. If we have God (at plus hundred)... we also have Satan (with power of minus hundred). We have day... we also have night. We have fire... we also have water. The essence being that the sum total of all in whole Cosmos at a given point of time must remain zero.

We have happiness... we also have sufferings. You must have observed that to craft a metal into shape we need to heat and beat it. Only then proper shape can be given to the metal. Similar is the case of we human beings nay all living beings for that matter.

Unless there are sufferings... the value of happiness cannot be recognized. It is only the sufferings which make us remove the dross within. It is only Tapasya (deep prayers) offered to Almighty God which pave the way for us to walk the spiritual path. More intense the prayers and the sufferings... higher realms of spirituality we experience.

Sufferings are a part of life. All is the result of a law which cannot err. How much shall we suffer or be lucky and win a lottery is fully dependent upon the residual karma which follows us every moment of our life. It is only the doctrine of karma which is finally governing. No single soul / atman can ever be affected by the doings of another soul / atman. This absolute statement issued by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita is to be understood firmly.

If we find one on the streets without legs... it is amply clear that this particular gentleman misused his legs in one of his earlier manifestations. It was the grace of God that this man was born without legs in the present domain. As we sow so shall we reap... nothing more or less! Anyone born with deformities is not to be pitied... for one is suffering for the deeds of the past life. This crux of karma is to be understood clearly if we truly want to understand the role of sufferings in life

If you defile the body of another then it is most likely that in next manifestation our body would be defiled as per the dictates of God. We might be born a sex worker in next manifestation. The mother-in-law burning her daughter-in-law for sake of dowry in India would lead to the mother-in-law being born a sex worker in next life. She is not to be pitied then. She has to suffer for the atrocities carried out by her on her daughter-in-law in the earlier manifestation.

It is not all of a sudden that one wins a lottery or one is lucky. It is the accumulation of pious deeds done by one in earlier manifestations that fructified now. In the spiritual domain of things it is not necessary that whatever karma we are performing now will fructify immediately. It is possible that the fruits of karma be made available by God Almighty in the present manifestation or four manifestations ahead from now. Also an invention done by a boy of 18 years in not his experience of this life of 16 years, but experience / knowledge accumulated for many previous life’s

God knows only Destruction! Why should Bhagvan Kalki take an Avtar here to "remove" group of people physically from the surface of our Earth ? If it is only a physical death, then these people will continue to be present elsewhere. On other hand, if they are "liberated" it is good for them !!! That means really blessed souls are going to be removed by Bhagvan Kalki. Whatever it is, only the survivors are going to suffer, even if it is going to be good life for them.

As a Universal Person, I love all the countries and all the people of Earth... as well as all my cosmic friends throughout the Universe. Is there any specific reason to love India alone ? Unfortunately human beings are thinking of destruction always for ages, so that ..may be ...they hope... there will be a new beginning all together...so that we all can perform well ?. Any destruction is easier than construction ! I wish, we all on Earth think in the positive direction. So that all these wars Etc. can be avoided.

Lord ! This is your world. You have all the rights to do whatever you want. You can change anything according to your will.

You have a desire to see God within this life ... there are millions out there in this world who have a desire to see God within this life. Is it really possible! One person in hundreds of years realizes God ... comes face-to-face with the Almighty Creator. In the last above 150 years only two persons have Realized God ... Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Mahirshi Ramana.

Vivekananda who had a burning desire to see God also got lost in the journey of life and could not Realize God within his lifetime. He reduced himself to the level of a social worker. On the path of God Realization one loses everything ... even his family is lost on the way. Material possessions have no value for him. Yet, you want to serve your parents and also keep a desire to see God.
God Almighty definition Hindu god’s dhrishta Onlooker: God Almighty is but the whole mound itself. If a grain of sand is an individual atman / soul then the whole mound of sand is God Almighty. Every individual atman / soul thus has the same powers exactly as God but limited in magnitude. This is the problem with the people in the West... they think that God belongs to them. Their God Jesus Christ is the best of all. Hindu god Agni occupies a very special place in Hinduism. The mere mention of Agni as Hindu god signifies the role Agni plays in Hindu rituals. God Agni in Hinduism stands for the means by which everything impure in the system can be wiped clean. Every human being can become a living God ... a man God like Buddha, Mahavira, Jesus Christ, prophet Mohammed. God Almighty is always in Nirakaar form.

Your assumption that God Almighty plays an active role in his creation is wrong. God Almighty has always been a Dhrista onlooker. It never indulges in the creation of his. Try understanding the definition of God in its entirety... you would understand the crux of life!

Is there a God? Proof God Exists! - 1

If God did not exist ... you would not be asking this question ... for you would not have been here in this world! We all Human Beings are the result of a creation of God Almighty.

It is but true that Cosmos is also beginning less. Both the statements cannot be true ... yet, it is the truth. If we say the glass is half full ... we are right and if we say the glass is half empty ... we are still right! Why do we say that the cosmic system is without a beginning ... it is because when we try to visualize the boundary of the cosmos it does not seem to exist ... and if we say it does exist then what beyond. If we say that God exists ... then also it is wrong because there must be someone who created God. We need to understand the total concept of Cosmos in its entirety.

First of all we need to understand that the form of God is Nirakaar (without a form) ... it is never Sakaar (having a form). God, the omnipotent Creator is a form of energy ... and energy that is beyond the comprehension of a normal human being. Only when one realizes God can one visualize the power we know as God.

Literally speaking ... the definition of God is thus, "the combined power of all Atmans souls in the Cosmos in their purified state is what we know as God". At the time of Big Bang and also at the time of pralaya ... the period when the dissolution of cosmos occurs ... in both the stages of the cosmos ... the beginning and also the end of cosmos ... the size of God is but half the size of a thumb ... this means that all Atmans souls in their purified state combine together to form the size of only half a thumb ... this has been the stated in the Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna. This is an irrefutable fact ... none can deny the efficacy of this. It is absolute truth.

So much power contained in so less a size ... the energy cannot contain itself even for a fraction ... the moment the complete dissolution of cosmos occurs ... it again explodes with a Big Bang ... and starts another Cosmos ... a new Cosmos. All Atmans which are initially in the purified state get scattered all over the Cosmos ... this journey continues for millions and billions of years ... comes a stage when the Cosmos ... the cosmic gases cool down to form galaxies and stars and subsequently solar systems and the planets. It is only when earth type of planets gets created which is conducive for an atman the soul within to manifest ... does life form starts developing. In the real meaning a live Cosmos now the starts to live and breathe. Until the first life form manifests ... it was a dead Cosmos without life.

For an atman soul to manifest ... it needs a body ... the body can be of an insect, a plant, animal and human being. But, the complete cosmic system is governed by the theory of evolution... it is not that an Atman can manifest the body of a plant in its first manifestation ... it initially starts as an amoeba (single cell formation) subsequently it evolves into a two cell formation ... a Jiva (living being) and then a multi-cell formation. Subsequently as cosmic life progresses it evolves into a plant. This plant evolves into an animal and the animal finally evolves into a human being.

This whole process of the evolution ... the complete cosmic cycle in the life of an atman the soul within takes a total of 84 Lakh yoni manifestations (the cosmic travel of about 96.4 million years) ... it is only when the 84 Lakh yoni manifestation is achieved does a body gain Moksha Salvation. Moksha Salvation announces the completion of cosmic journey undertaken by atman the soul within. Moksha Salvation having achieved ... atman the soul within gets liberated forever from the cycle of birth and death (the cycle of 84 Lakh Yoni manifestations).

It is quite clear that it is atman the soul within which needs a body to purify itself ... and it is not the body which has taken the Atman. The physical manifested life of a Jiva (living being) is but to live ... we cannot do without ... we come unto this world not of our own making ... we leave not of our own will! How much we shall live in the present physical life is purely dependent upon the residual Karma of past lives. And how long we really live depends upon the resulting residual Karma ... the residual Karma of past lives and the Karma of the present life.

The left-hand of a person signifies the complex structure of the complete lives we have lived till now ... whereas the right-hand reflects only the Karma of the present life. If we observe the lines in our right-hand changing fast ... yes, it is because we are evolving at a faster pace. The palmists are never able to study our left-hand ... they can only read the right hand ... it is only seeing the right-hand they are able to predict our feature or the present ... only then we come to know what God has in store for us.

When we leave the body ... whatever be the stage of residual Karma ... be it papa Karma or Punya Karma will be the deciding factor what our next manifestation would be. Nothing is left to chance ... nothing is disordered in the system of God. Stephen Hawking in his famous book "a brief history of time" has indicated that the system of God is disordered at some stage. It is a wishful thinking ... it is a thinking of the ignorant one ... it is the thinking of a scientist and a physicist ... Spirituality start where science ends. It is not but within the grasp of the scientist or the physicist to understand the cosmic system.

If we need to see the whole of New York we need to climb up the Empire State building. Standing on the fourth floor we cannot expect to see the whole of New York. Science has its limitations ... it was meant to assist the physical manifest form (the form of a human being) ... not within. It was never to be used as a yardstick by the scientific community for venturing into the domain of God ... the domain of Atmans souls. Albert Einstein is stated to be the only person in the whole of the scientific community who used his head four per cent ... meaning that only 4% of his brain was activated and the 96% had yet to be evolved.

Even Albert Einstein regretted the fact that for the whole of his life he wanted to understand Spirituality from the point of view of science. He was at fault ... he admitted his fault ... but it was too late ... it was the end part of his life. By the time he switched over to Spirituality seeing it from an unbiased point of view (not how as a scientist or a physicist looks at it) ... it was but not possible for him to learn the intricacies of Bhagavad Gita. He tried his best but failed. Albert Einstein wanted to understand the crux of Bhagavad Gita in the present life ... maybe he gets time in its next manifestation.

Only after one realizes God that ... we can use hundred percent of our brain ... the moment the kundalini is fully awakened after having practiced Celibacy for a continuous period of 12 years minimum ... it is no looking back. We have finally crossed the threshold of humanity ... we have stepped into the domain of God. There is no returning back ... it is not permitted. Once the flower has bloomed it cannot be turned back to its original form, a bud. The moment one reaches the Mount Everest of his cosmic life ... it is all over with him.

  • Things you didn’t know about coconuts

Did you know – Those coconuts are one of the wonder foods on earth that amply provides for all human needs? They can even save your life!

Few people (even fewer doctors) understand how important the coconut is to stabilizing blood sugar; lowering cholesterol; healing; hydration; and even replacing blood plasma in an emergency.

Referred to as Kalpa Vriksha (Sanskrit for the tree that supplies all that is needed to live) in ancient India, the coconut palm has been recognised as a top immune booster, antifungal, antibiotic; antiviral and antibacterial remedy for thousands of years all over the world. Yet, it has only been recently that modern researchers have begun to fully discover the massive health benefits this amazing fruit seed offers.

To give just one example of coconuts’ live-saving properties, they were used extensively in the pacific during World War-II. Since blood plasma supplies were scare, it was very common for medics to siphon pure coconut water from young coconut to be used as emergency plasma transfusions for soldiers who were injured. Since coconut water is nearly identical to human blood, it was suitable for people of all types.

Because of its strong antioxidant properties, the coconut can be used to:-

    Lower cholesterol
    Improve digestion
    Ward of wrinkles
    Stabilize glucose levels
    Fight of viruses
    Build cells
    Regulate hormones
    Increase thyroid production
    Lose weight
    Increase metabolism
    Fight infections
    Stave off memory loss
    Kill bacteria
    And more!

Considered one of the most treasured foods of all times, coconut products – including coconut flesh, coconut water, coconut oil, and coconut cream- each deliver superb health benefits.

Coconut oil, for instance, is considered the best and safest oil to use for cooking- even superior to extra virgin olive oil when it comes to giving the body what it needs for optimum health. Unlike other fats and oils that we typically use for cooking and baking, coconut oil does not form polymerised oils or dangerous Tran’s fatty acids in our bodies, which can raise our cholesterol levels; clog our arteries and even make our skin sag and wrinkle. Plus, this ultra-safe oil can give your body important antioxidants that can help build stronger cells and improve your overall health and well being.

Here are a few ways that you can use coconut products to save off disease and to recapture the look and feeling of youth:

Coconut Water- The coconut is a natural water filter. It takes almost 9 months for coconut to filter every quart of water stored within its shell. This makes the resulting coconut water completely pure and sterile, which is one reason why it can be used for blood transfusions.

Another benefit of coconut water is the fact that it has the highest concentration of electrolytes than anything else found in nature. This makes it an excellent source of hydration.

Coconut Oil- In addition to being superior for cooking and baking coconut oil also makes superb topical oil that can help to naturally rid the skin of dangerous toxins. It also gives the skin the perfect mix of hydration and antioxidants that it needs to stay healthy, smooth and younger-looking longer.

Another great benefit of coconut oil is in protecting your teeth from the bacteria that can cause cavities and disease. Simply rubbing a little fresh coconut oil on your gums and teeth can keep them stronger and healthier than virtually any other dental treatment.

Most people don’t realise that coconut oil can actually help you lose weight! Yes, simply changing your cooking oil from the unsaturated fat variety to coconut oil can help you lose those extra pounds. Here’s why: Unsaturated fats found in canola, corn and other vegetables oils, as well as margarine suppress the metabolism, which makes it harder to lose weight- and easier to gain it. Over time, this metabolism suppression may results in 8-12 Kg. of excess weight that your body cannot get rid of. Coconut oil, on the other hand, helps to increase thyroid function and boost your metabolism- 2 important components to shedding unwanted kilograms.

Coconut Cream- The best skin treatment product one can use to achieve flawless skin may quite possibly be cream. Unlike traditional skin creams which can actually introduce fats and oils to the skin that will break it down over time, making it look older, creams derived from the coconut can actually replenish the skin, giving it a more youthful and healthy glow than most other skin care products on the market.

When it comes to buying coconut products, coconuts are not all created equal. Wild coconuts are always best, but can be hard to obtain if you don’t live in a tropical country. Whether you are using this wonder food to boost you immune system; increase your metabolism or fight wrinkles, using products from young coconuts will help you reap the most benefit.

Young coconuts contain the purest unsaturated fat, compared to the fat found in the more mature varieties. This is why they offer the most rejuvenation properties for the body’s tissues. But how can you tell how old a coconut is? Young coconuts are usually green in colour and oddly shaped. The brown hairy ones are mature coconuts, and while they offer a lot of healthy benefits, they aren’t nearly as good for you as younger varieties.

The best place to find young fresh coconut is of course in the markets of the tropics, so be sure to seek them out if you travel to those areas. Coconut-producing regions export coconuts all over the world, however, so it’s relatively easy to find coconuts at your local health food store or groceries.

Peace of Mind

This story is worth reading and a good example to follow.

Once when Buddha was walking from one town to another with a few of his followers, they happened to pass a lake.

They stopped there and Buddha said to one of his disciples, I am thirsty. Go and get me some water from that lake there.

The disciple walked up to the lake. When he reached it, he noticed that some people were washing clothes in the water, and right at that moment, a bullock cart started crossing through the lake. As a result, the water became very muddy, very turbid. The disciple thought, how I can give this muddy water to Buddha to drink! So he came back and said to Buddha. The water in the lake is very muddy. I don’t think it is fit to drink.

After about half an hour, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back to the lake and get him some water to drink. The disciple obediently went back to the lake. This time he found that the lake had absolutely clear water in it. The mud had settled down and the water above it looked fit to be had. So he collected some water in a pot and brought it to Buddha.

Buddha looked at the water, and then he looked up at the disciple and said, see what you did to make the water clean. You let it be, and the mud settled down on its own and then you get clear water. Your mind is also like that! When it is disturbed, just let it be. Give it a little time. It will settle down on its own. You don’t have to put in any effort to calm it down.

It will happen. It is effortless.

10 Steps to Success

1st step- Success Begins in Mind. One has to be a believer, if one wishes to be a achiever. Never Under-estimate yourself, you have no idea how often can you surprise yourself. So to begin with, let’s get in the belief, “I can.”

2nd step- There is no point running around without knowing where one wants to reach. You must get your job cut out. Greatest achievers in the world have been visionaries. Know exactly what you are best at and give it your best shot.

3rd step- Setting the Right Goals. The goals should be realistic. The goals should be achievable, and yet challenging enough- neither too easy nor too difficult-something in the middle.

4th step- Be Focussed. If the sun’s rays are focussed on a piece of paper with a lens, the intensity of the concentrated energy burns the paper. Focus on your objective will enhance the intensity of the effects of your efforts.

5th step- No Short Cuts to Success. Divide your overall goals into smaller targets. Divide your monthly plans into weekly and weekly plans into daily plans and see how simple can things are.

6th step- Take Risks. Without any risk no progress is possible. Life comes to a stable standstill. People who take chances are the people who get ahead in life. The only way to reduce risk is to take risks.

7th step- Take the Initiative. People who take the initiative make the most of their lives. Proactive people do not wait for success to happen. As they say ‘JUST DO IT’.

8th step- Never Hesitate to Struggle. No one has ever climbed a mountain just by looking at it. Struggle, hard struggle, is a key to success.

9th step- Own Responsibility. Failure to hit the bull’s eye is never the fault of the target. People, who own complete responsibility of their lives, are the people make the most of it.

10th step- Never Give Up. Many people who failed in life, where those who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up. Success demands extra-ordinary amount of perseverance. Never, never, give up.

The Echo of Life

A man and his son were walking in the forest. Suddenly the boy trips and feeling a sharp pain he screams, “Ahhhhh!”

Surprised, he hears a voice coming from the mountain, “Ahhhhh!”

Filled with curiously, he screams: “Who are you?”, but the only answer he receives is: “Who are you?”

This makes him angry, so he screams: “You are a coward!”, and the voice answers: “You are a coward!”

He looks his father, asking, “Dad, what is going on?”

“Son,” the Father replies, “I admire you!”
The voice answers: “I admire you!”

The father shouts, “You are wonderful!”, and the voice answers” “You are wonderful!”

Then the father explins, “People call this ‘ECHO’, but truly it is ‘LIFE’!

Life always gives back what you give out.
Life is a mirror of your actions.

If you want more love, give more love!
If you want more kindness, give more kindness!
If you want understanding and respect, give understanding and respect!
If you want people to be patient and respectful to you, give patience and respect!

This rule on nature applies to every aspect of our lives.”

Life always gives you back what you give out.

Your life is not a coincidence, but a mirror of your own doings.

Emotions are a Part of Life

Life is like an unsolved puzzle. No one can define what life is because it is a very complex thing. Life is something that makes you happy and proud at times and makes you feel so low at times that you say to yourself. “Why I was born?” But whatever it is, it is fun.

In life, in every moment, something new happens, something that you never expected, something you were waiting from a long while to happen and something you were expecting to happen. It is a combination of happiness, sorrow, joy, love, anger, enjoyment, loneliness, fear, excitement and many other emotions.

The definition of the word life can’t be completed without using the word emotions.

Some people work in emotions whereas others work with emotions. So it’s very important to understand how people are using their emotions. If they are letting emotions get control over them, then they’ll be dragged by others and situations all the time. But, if he is controlling his emotions in a proper way, then no one will ever have control over him. The way a person uses his emotions is what we call attitude.

Some has correctly said, “Your attitude determines your attitude in Life.” Attitude, is defined, is the way an individual uses his emotions and directly related to the psyche of a person. Some people use their emotions and directly related to the psyche of a person. Some people use their emotions in a positive way and some people do it in a negative sense.

When people use emotions in a positive way we call it positive attitude and when they use it in negative way we call it negative attitude.

It’s up to an individual to decide how he uses his emotions. “ Now it depends, Which way will you decide.?”

Be at peace

We spend most of our life running after things, doing things. We forget that being comes before doing, those who remember this secret, make an effort to “be” and discover that when they stop and observe, life helps and brings whatever is needed.

Learning to be is learning to be at peace. It is our most fundamental nature.

Be nice and smile to everyone you meet. You don’t know what they are going through, and they might just need that smile. At least for a moment, it would make a lot of difference to them.

Life gives us many such moments to make others feel better. For tomorrow when you feel low, someone might smile and you may feel better.

Just think ! Am I happy ? – If there is any sadness I make a strong effort to be free of it quickly, otherwise it grows like a vine in the rainy season: by midday I will be confused, by evening a whole jungle of weak, wasteful and negative attitudes will have taken deep roots in my mind.

The result equals chaos. Sometimes I reach a stage where the attitude is : “So what I feel the blues today? It is my life; no one else will be affected”. Firstly, the more I allow myself to experience sorrow, the less time I have available to be happy and contented.

It sounds ridiculously obvious, but am I aware of the value of happiness? It is an extremely rare commodity, and the cost goes sky high. Secondly, is it my life? Yes, I am living it, but am I not a member of a family or a co-worker with others, and am I of society? If so, then every movement affects and is affected by those around me.

The Intelligence: -

For the last thousand years, man has relentlessly pursued his search for intelligence with in himself. Geniuses have been as baffling as schizophrenics (mental disease, disconnection between thought feeling and action). And the urge to better oneself in the matters of the mind has been so great that man has at times resorted to witchcraft and black magic to allegedly improve him.

Intellectual power is the valuable wealth provided by God. All types of activities are being performed by creations like worm, insect, animals, and man. But the difference is that, while the other creations eats anything and sleeps anywhere; man is always in search of a comfortable life and good rest.

If man is to be benefit to the world, they should acquire only good knowledge. The very purpose of education is to make student learn only what will be conductive to purposeful living. Thus knowledge alone will distinguish them from others. God residing within each of them will enable them to make life sublime. Every child has a segment of the almighty enshrined in it and so it has to endeavor to make a good citizen and face challenges ahead.

Parents and teacher should impress on children the vital need for a clean life. If there are more people of character and contentment society can be reformed. As said by Swami Sivananda that the mind is like a blotting paper absorbing the bad ideas easily and never throwing them out again. Thoughts of hatred passion and greed should be resisted and driven out. At the impressionable age, the significance of scriptural themes should be taught.

Soul is to be borne as a human being is the result of pious deeds carried out over a number of years. Unfortunately once he is conferred with this privilege, man usually runs after worldly affairs, money, getting fame, raising a fine family and enjoying other benefits. But in this process he fails to understand the very purpose for which God has given him this body.

Knowledge is divided between phenomenology, science of the changeable and ontology, science of the unchangeable, ontology is the realm of beings and phenomenology that of becoming. To explain it to the laity, Christianity uses the word ‘father’ for ontology and ‘son’ for phenomenology. The Holy Spirit is individualised consciousness that mediates the two.

Phenomenology is the mixing and constant flux of the five elements: solid, liquid, gas, space and heat. The five elements are interdependent and are created from one another. For anything to be solid, it must have been liquid previously. For anything to be liquid, heat is required, for ions, the sun has Caused the earth to relive in a manner that H20 remains in liquid form in a narrow temperature range of zero to a hundred degrees. This is a feat of wondrous exactitude as temperatures in the cosmos range from negative to positive infinity. In order to have heat, some combustive gas is required. All this interplay occurs in space, which is the mother element. Matter occupies infinitely less then one zillionth of cosmic space, where the leela of phenomenology takes place.

Science limits itself to this zillionth of cosmic space occupied by matter. Hence, it has been said that science is an incomplete philosophy, but philosophy is complete science oncologists pose it that we are pure spirit, trying to learn how to be human. At birth, we are pure; pure consciousness. The difficulty lies not in being pure consciousness, but in being human. Completely alien to our being, we are constantly trying to master manmade functions ranging from table mannered to law, family governance to human love. It’s a comedown; a ‘thud’ keeps us in febrile fever. Ontology is the science of the unchangeable, undivided, pure consciousness. Knowledge of pure consciousness makes us realise that the entire universe is nothing but consciousness. I Am That. I am the entire universe, and the functioning of the universe is my responsibility. The brain is incapable of grasping the essence of ontology – It can only categories, divide and choose, assuming separateness, that there are two to choose from. The higher the IQ, the more divisive the brain, since pure consciousness is one, the brain. Since pure consciousness is one, the brain cannot grasp it in a thousand lifetimes.

To know your being or virginal ontological being or virginal ontological state is to resolve, ‘I am a pure virgin’. A virgin is one who is untouched by man. Hence, no thought emanating from any man can touch you. No political, economic or scientific theism penetrates your pure state. The very concept of a universe is a creation of man; even the creator is a creation of man. If the universe and God do exist, they are a part of your pure consciousness. Once stabilsed in your virgin state, everything that emanates from you is pure. Thus, Christ emanates from the Virgin Mary. Kabir was also found in same condition as the Christ. In a basket on a river bank. This is no mere historical phenomenon; it is happening moment to moment, even as you grasp this, as only your virgin purity can. If only Christ had said. “You are the Son of God”, instead of seeing purity only in himself…

The eminent British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking write in his book “The Grand Design” says that the creator of the Universe redundant, because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something, why the universe exist. “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going.”

Earlier in his book published in 1988 “A Brief History of Time.” An account of the origins of the Universe, is renowned for his work on black holes, cosmology and quantum gravity. His latest comments suggest he has broken away from previous views he has expressed on religion. Previously, he wrote that the laws of physics meant it was simply not necessary to believe that god had intervened in the Big Bang. “If we discover a complete theory, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason- for then he should know the mind of God.”

As per the new book “The Grand Design” he said in 1992 the discovery of planet orbiting another star other than the Sun helped deconstruct the view of the father of the physics Issac Newton that the Universe could not have arisen out of chaos but was created by God.

The human body has been compared to a temple; God is seated in the heart the sanctum- sanctorum. Those who do not realize this fail to experience God’s presence within. The five sense faculties do not allow men to visualize God within. People’ attention is diverted towards seeing and enjoying only the worldly events. The mind of a human being is full of conflicting desires. It is chiefly responsible for de-linking the Almighty from the devotee, who is ever keen to get released from worldly bondage. If it is subdued other senses can easily be tamed. If the mind checks their activities, men can certainly feel that HE from within is constantly guiding him.

WHY DO people go to a temple? The answer is obvious: to find peace, to sit and meditate and to feel energy of those who have meditated there earlier. The sun Light is present all over the earth atmosphere, but when we use the Double convex lens the light is concentrated and the intensity of the heat is so much it will have a burning effect.

But today, most of the traditional temples have become centers of trade and politics. Regular prayers may be offered here, but these prayers are formal and out of a fear of God. There’s no innocence in these prayers. In such an atmosphere polluted with materialism and politics, meditation is not possible. If we are really interested in meditation and prayer, we need to look for a different kind of temple and one that is not man-made.

The good news is that such unpolluted temple of love still exists. You will find them in nature. Go and sit under a tree, breathe and meditate and you will be filled with love and prayer. The tree always gives life-energy. It will never ask you about your religion or caste. You can hug a tree and you will feel its heartbeat. And at the same time, you will also feel your own heartbeat.

But when you hug fellow human beings, however nobody nowadays hugs anyone unconditionally. The tree is a temple of love, as it always gives. Go to mountains or the sea and sit in the open space. While you listen to the sound of mountain streams, you will automatically start meditating. Mountains need a certain kind of an atmosphere, a space for the soul, where it can fly high in the Sky. And that’s possible only in nature.

What the world calls knowledge, ontologisms define as ignorance. Armed with this ignorance, they can be billionaires, presidents or physicists. Even as they watch, their wealth will be surpassed, nations subjugated, scientific ideas bombed. They are at the feet of the masters of ontology, the masters of truth. Newton defined truth as ‘that which is invariant in all frames of reference ‘. All frames of reference lean on the inventive constructs of time and space. Ontologists would simply say that they are changeable and hence are untruths – even by Newton’s definition. Know the truth will set you free. The phenomenological world will be at your beck and call. Pity, you’ll have no use for it, having sublimated it…

The Real possessions that bind us are our memories, our inner possessions. Memory is an attachment, a holding on to an experience, an accumulation in which energy is trapped. Memory is a form of matter, a substance in the mind. It is the residue of an experience that has left a mark within us. The degree of our attachment to the past is the degree of our materialism. Our memories form the landscape of the world of illusion and sorrow, samsara, in which we are caught this world of memory is revealed during dream and fantasy. It underlies our waking consciousness and distorts our perception. Hence our fall into dream or fantasy is a fall into the inertia of our own minds. The more we are attached to the past, the heavier is the weight of our ignorance.

We can easily measure our spiritual ignorance in life: it is equal to the density of our thoughts, our habitual stream of memory based considerations. Similarly, the knowledge that we cline to through thought obstructs us from seeing the truth. We are not bound to the external world or to the matter outside us. It is the world inside us, the matter within our own minds that binds us. Only when we take the world inside ourselves through thought does it cause anxiety. If we let the world be, it takes care of itself in the natural harmony and freedom of existence.

Consciousness is immaterial and thought is mater. To fall into thought is to introduce a foreign substance (matter) into our unbounded consciousness and to weight it down. Our thoughts are our matter, through which we fall into the material world. To acquire things mentally through name, recognition and identification is to add to the ignorance within us. The mind emptied itself naturally – consciousness itself is emptiness, immateriality and boundless space-when we do not fill it with cares and anxieties.

The realisation that thought is a burden is the end of thought. All worry and care is useless weight that separates us from the beneficence of existence, drawing upon us the very disharmonies that we wish to avoid. When we release the burden of thought through the perception of its foreign nature, we transcend the entire world.

Is our life worth living? Are we really living or pretend to be living? Are we really conscious of what we are doing? Unfortunately, the way we live is nothing but just a mechanical process. We have become a robot no intelligence, no thought, no awareness, no awakening. Every moment we are living unconsciousness, which mars our happiness. But why are we doing this?

Lord Shiva and the Philosophy of His devotion

The scriptural descriptions narrate the simplicity of the wedding ceremony of Shiva and Parvati. He did not go after big people or gods of heavens to join the wedding procession. Rather, he took the ghosts and the palitas along. As praised in the following hymn of the Ramacharit Manas ––

"Tanu Kshina Kou Ati Pita, Pavan Kou Apavan Tanu Dhare"

(Those with ugly, horrifying and diseased bodies were also among Shiva’s Baraatis). Shiva had taken due care of even the deprived and down trodden ones. We should also broaden our hearts and pay attention to those scorned by the society. If we cannot get rid of our hatred, fears and prejudices, we can never enjoy the sense of bliss and fulfillment, the devotees of Shiva deserve.

What is the meaning of our worship and devotion if we don’t learn anything from the truth, from the philosophy of our Deity? We will just continue to perform some rituals, keep crying and praying at His feet without any improvement in our life. Remember that Shiva does not need our flowers and other offerings of worship. Our devotion is real only if we adopt its philosophy in every aspect of life.

An Ox (named Nandi) is said to be the mount of Lord Shankar (Shiva). Why? What does it imply? Well, an ox is known to be an assiduous animal. Any laborious, industrious human can become God Shiva’s favorite irrespective of whether he is an Indian, British, French or any one else…. We all know that God helps those who help themselves. The ox symbolizes strength, courage and hard work in our (Indian) culture. If we want to become a devotee of Lord Shiva, we will have to be courageous and depend upon our own wisdom and endeavors. No one will open the doors of progress for us. We alone will have to come forward and initiate our ascent in the desired direction. Do you know who rides on a buffalo? Shanicar! (Saturn, as described in the Puranas). A buffalo represents lethargy, dullness and escapism from labor or hard work. It can never be an aid of Shiva. Shiva likes the ever energetic, assiduous ox, Nandi. The latter is described in the Puranas as the vehicle of Shiva (in human form). Shiva takes care of it and loves this pet. We should try to cultivate the qualities of this ox; this is what God wants His devotees to be like…

What else have we read or heard about Lord Shiva from the scriptural descriptions? That He lives in the marghat (crematorium)! Why should He do so? Well, this again is a symbolic depiction. It teaches us that we should always remember death. We get so engrossed in the worldly affairs that we almost forget that death could knock at our door any moment… and then we will have to leave this world instantly. We seem to remember everything else but this bitter reality of life. If we had remembered the absolute fact that we had to die some day or the other, our attitude towards life would have been different. In that case, we would have cared for what we ought and what we ought not to do? We would have been more alert towards our duties.

A home and a crematorium are alike for a duty-bound, altruist person who has acquired pure knowledge. Such a wise man knows that this moment he is living comfortably in the house but any other moment he would be no more and his body would rest in peace in a crematorium or a graveyard; then he will have new life and a new home and so on…. Today’s life would be tomorrow’s death, which would again turn into new life some day… This is how the cycle of life continues… Life and death are like the relay games of day and night. Then why should we be scared of death? Rather, we should remember it to make our life more meaningful, more useful, and more enlightened every day. This is another significant teaching of Shiva’s Philosophy of Life.

If we look carefully and ponder over it, we will find that innumerable teachings are hidden in Lord Shiva’s manifestations as we see Him in the temples and religious stories. We often find His depiction in human-like form with a coating of ash on his body. If we knew the righteous attitude of life and the ideal mode of living, the importance of this ash-coating would have been crystal clear to us. Many of us put the bhasm (ash) of the sacred fire of yagya (agnihotra or homam) on our forehead with great reverence. But do we know the meaning of this religious ritual? The most important implication of smearing bhasm on any part of the body is to recall the Vedic teaching that– this body is going to become (a heap of) ash one day. That means, this body might either get mixed in the soil or water or fly like the dust particles with the wind. This physical body of ours, which we are so proud of and are so much attached to, is going to be crushed (with the soil) beneath others’ feet one day.

If we are His true devotees, the bhasm on Shiva’s body should constantly remind us of this ultimate reality and therefore keep us away from the ego and attachments that arise because of our mistaken identity with the physical body.

The Third Eye: The three eyes of Lord Shiva are often the focus of mythological interpretations and mystic curiosity. Representation of His manifestation in humanlike form should have shown only two eyes like the normal humans have. Is the third eye mere all egoric depiction? Or, does it signify some hidden facets…? In fact, the third eye symbolizes the source of sagacity – pure, discreet wisdom. This center in the human body is hidden subtly in an endocrine gland inside the brain right behind the position (on the forehead) where the third eye of Shiva is depicted.

We have read a story in the shastric scripture which mentions of Kamadeva being burnt into ashes due to the opening of Shiva’s third eye. Kamadeva the Lord of amour had once tried to sinfully entice and influence Lord Shiva. Then, Lord Shiva just opened His third eye. The divine radiations emanating there from instantly burnt the gross body of Kamadeva. Have you ever thought about the truth behind this mythological anecdote? It conveys the fact that the insidious force of erotic thoughts and sexual excitation can be instantly checked and eliminated if our discerning prudence is awakened. The opening of the third eye means awakening of our sagacity and creative activation of our inner wisdom.

The third eye is subtly located in the third dimension inside our brain. It teaches us to look into the deeper aspects of every phenomenon, every thought and every experience. Our ordinary eyes (the two eyes on our faces) see only extrovertly; they can only show us our materialistic gains and losses or the worldly affairs in the limited peripheries of our interactions. The needs of the body or the sense organs are easily seen by them. But there is a third eye, which opens inward. It enables us to look deeply in the sublime folds of mind and shows us the world of inner peace, everlasting happiness and absolute truth. This is the eye of foresight and clairvoyance.

When a sincere devotee of Lord Shiva seeks refuge under His grace, he first inspects his own character and conduct to check whether or not he measures up to the virtuous standards with respect to the philosophy of Shiva. The human-like image of God Shiva is a kind of an ideal model for the true devotee. A potter makes a pot in the desired design by processing and fixing the clay into appropriate mold. The devotee should also try to mold his personality, his attitude, his thinking, his life, etc as per the ideals of his Deity. Our worship and devotional practices have no meaning without commensurate endeavors of refinement and improvement in our thoughts, behavior and deeds.

The Sanskrit word for devotional worship is "Upasana", which literally means ‘sitting nearby’. Sitting near the fire makes we feel warm. Similarly, sitting near God should inspire us with His attributes. Sitting in the closed vicinity of a powerful source of energy would bestow the associated significant effects on us only if there is a linkage, a direct connection between the source and the beneficiary. A piece of wood becomes fire only when it sacrifices itself in the fire nearby. This is how "upasana" brings the desired results only if the devotee sets a live linkage of his inner self with the Deity of his worship. For this, he has to discipline and mold himself as per the inspirations of his God. We, the aspirants of the beatitude of Lord Shiva, should also consciously and ceaselessly attempt at transforming ourselves according to the ideals of His manifestation. We should endeavor opening our third eye (that means awaken our intuitive insight and pure intellect).

The very purpose of murti puja (idol-worship) in Indian Culture is to enable the masses to access and imbibe the teachings and inspirations of divine emanations. Every idol, every symbol of God’s manifestation represented here is indicative of some important teaching related to the spiritual evolution of human consciousness. Unfortunately, we often get engrossed in worshipping the gross form – the idol of God and consider the performance of some customary rituals, chanting of some prayers etc as all that is required for His devotion. Even if we have read or heard about the occult significance of the symbols of divine manifestations, we don’t seem to remember anything. We just want to take shortcuts and regard ourselves great devotees simply by symbolic worship.

The word "Shiva" in Sanskrit means highest good. Lord Shiva (Shiva) is the presiding Deity of eternal, auspicious well-being of all creation. But we, the so-called worshippers of Shiva never even think of global good. (Forget about global, we don’t even attempt to expand the narrow domain of our selfish interests and engage ourselves in altruistic service and upliftment of the needy around us). We keep chanting "Om Namah Shivaya" but don’t bother to know its meaning; in reality, Shiva is far away from our lives. We don’t even know what is the true well-being of our soul or our own life and how to attain it? The japa (rhythmic chanting) of Shiva’s name will be beatifying if "Shiva" (Highest Good) is embodied in our attitude, aspirations, thoughts and deeds. It is time we realize that worshipping only the external, gross form is no better than not doing anything at all.

Be Blessed by Shiva’s Grace: The Almighty God of Hindu religion for whom we observe fasting on Shivaratri, perform japa, ceremonial worship, sacred ablution (abhisheka) and what not… can’t He, the Omnipotent, destroy all evils and eliminate our adversities? Can’t He help us in our progress? He indeed can and He will, if we are His deserving devotees. He loves all of us and wants to bestow all His grace upon us; but it is our infirmities, our vices that hinder or limit the flow of His blessings. His grace is like the water-laden clouds. (The clouds shower the treasure of rains without discrimination wherever they fall). But how much water a pond or a pot would collect from the rain depends upon its own capacity. If we deserve, we will surely be beatified by Shiva’s enormous generosity. His beatitudes will continue to grow as our abilities, our merits increase and we shall get everything that a true devotee of Shankara deserves.

We discussed today the meaning and philosophy of the gross manifestations of Lord Shiva as described in the Puranas. A large number of stories and rhetoric descriptions are also available in the texts that lucidly illustrate the great teachings and philosophies of the other incarnations and manifestations of Hindu Gods. There lived about 33 crore people on the Indian subcontinent in the Vedic Age. They were the true devotees, spiritually enlightened, virtuous men and women, who, because of their divine characteristics were revered as 33 crore devatas on this earth. If we had tried to search and grasp the truth behind the teachings of the Puranas and put into practice the Vedic philosophy, we also would have been like those pearls of the human society and would have gloriously accomplished the divine purpose of our life.

We are lucky to have been born on this sacred land, which once upon a time was the Land of gods. It can and should still regain its glory, if we, the devotees, the worshipers of the Vedic Philosophy, sincerely adopt its values and attempt towards spiritual elevation of our conduct and refinement of the ambience around us. Divine beings generate love, peace, beauty, piety, bliss and prosperity wherever we go. We should also adopt and expand such qualities.
