The Desire
The desire within us is also confusion. It is not a desire for an object. What we ask for is not a thing of the world. It is something different, but we are not able to understand what it is actually. The understanding is muddled. There is a complete overturning of the cart, as it were, when the intelligence in the individual begins to operate through the senses demanding objects. The real asking of the individual is for permanent satisfaction and freedom. There is a piety and holiness, if you say, so involved in the activity of the individual. But the instruments used are inadequate for the purpose. The senses cannot contact the object for which their deepest desires are. What we ask for is infinity of possession and infinity of satisfaction and a freedom. Such a thing cannot be communicated to us through the senses because they are externalised agents.

We have bad friends in the senses, so they mislead us. They take us to objects and tell us, ‘Here is what you wanted.’ But that is not really what you wanted. Just as we can be taken along by lanes by misleading guides in a big city, the senses put us off the scent. And then, due to a misconceived longing for an appearance rather than for a reality, which we begin to really believe in, there is a perpetual effort on the part of the mind, through its will, to maintain the duration of the contact with the object for as long as possible. Now the object changes colour like a chameleon and reveal its incapacity to satisfy us at different intervals of time.

We get caught in a confusion of circumstance with which we die. The body perishes. Our life is very short. We have not got enough time to experiment with everything in the world. By the time we get fed up with even a few, the body also goes. But the desire has not gone. And the confused desire, which has not been enlightened as to the true nature of what it asks for, remains in that condition even at the time of death. The actions which were performed earlier due to this misconception, having produced results correspondingly, bind the soul once again, so that the body which was shed has gone, but a new body comes. This is the psychology or philosophy of rebirth, the whole difficulty being a misconstruing of the ultimate cause of desire that arises in our minds.

‘Attached to the sense objects, longing for things of sense, the individual sheds the body, casts off this mortal coil, takes nothing with itself.’ When we leave this world, we take nothing with us. All the associations, physical and social, are cast aside as if they do not belong to us.

We go singly, independently, alone and un-befriended without any association, any appendage whatsoever. But we take something with us. Like an encrustation that has grown upon us, the forces of Karma cling to our subtle body which alone departs when the physical body is shed. Lingam mano yatra nisaktam asya: ‘The mind which is the ruling principle in the subtle body carries with it the result of its actions, the Karma-Phala, which clings to it like a leech. It will not leave it, wherever it goes. In some other Upanishad it is said that a calf finds its own mother even in the midst of a thousand cows by moving hither and thither in the herd; as it goes to its own mother though the cows may be thousands in number, likewise our Karma will find us wherever we are. We may go to the highest heaven, but the Karma is not going to leave us. We may go to the nether regions; it is not going to leave us. We may go to any corner of creation, but this is not going to leave us. It will find us.

Even as the laws of the government which has long arms try to catch us wherever we are, the laws of the cosmos catch that individual who has been responsible for the particular action.: ‘Attached, the soul leaves this body; and together with the Karma, it goes.’ Where does it go? ‘Where the mind has found its habitation, there it goes.’ Where is the habitation or the location of the mind? ‘Those features of the world, those conditions or that type of atmosphere where its unfulfilled desires can be fulfilled, there the Linga-Sarira, or the Suksma-Sarira, or the subtle body, gravitates.’ Like a rocket the subtle body moves and finds its place. The cosmic law operates in such a just and inexorable manner that the subtle body is taken to the exact spot where it can fulfill all its wishes. Then what happens further?

‘Those Karmas which have to be exhausted by experience in that particular place find their completion through experience. Whatever we have done here, the result of it we experience there’
Then, what happens again?

‘From that world you come again’. To which place do you come?

‘To this world you come for the purpose of further actions’. Why do you do further actions? For further bondage! You engage again in action because your desires have not been fulfilled and the residue of the Karmas has to be further undergone by experience.

The desires get enhanced in their intensity the more they are fulfilled. The fulfillment of a desire is not the way to freedom from desire. On the other hand, the reverse is the case. Desires become, fire-like, more and more strong. They are in fact said to be the fuel of satisfaction.

Fire is never satisfied by any amount of clarified butter that you pour over it. It can swallow numerous quintals of clarified butter. The more butter you pour on it, the more ferocious does the fire become. So is desire.

‘This is the fate of the one that desires’. This is the destiny of the individual who desires and longs for things or the objects of sense.

The Upanishad shifts its emphasis to another subject. If a person does not desire, then what happens? Athakamayamanah: one who has no desire’ for objects of sense.

‘A person who does not desire, who is freed from desires, whose desires have gone, whose desires have been fully satisfied, whose desire is only for the Self’, what happens to such a person? Now, this gradation mentioned here is very interesting. Only if your desire is for the Self will your desires be fulfilled, not otherwise. You can become Apta-Kama only if you are Atma-Kama, not otherwise. Desire cannot be satisfied unless it is directed to the Self and to nothing else whatsoever. If your desire is for anything other than the Self, it is not going to be fulfilled because you are asking for that which is not there. Naturally you will not get what is not there. So, it is an Atma-Kama only who becomes Apta-Kama; the Apta-Kama in turn becomes Niskama ; the Niskama becomes Akama and Akama becomes Akamayamana. So, one who has desire centered in the Universal Self is one whose desires are all fulfilled at one stroke, which in other words means that all desires have left him. Why have all desires left that person? Because all desires have been fulfilled, the reason being that the desire itself has become merged in the Universal Self. Desires leave that person whose desires have been completely satisfied on account of their being centered in the Atman. Such a person has no desires because they have gone. Such a person is designated as Akamayamana, one who does not desire. If a person is to shed his physical body in that circumstance, without any desire remaining except for the desire of the Universal Being, what happens is that his Prana do not move hither and thither in search of a new location; they do not move. The subtle body does not depart in space and in time; on the contrary they, the Prana, and the senses dissolve like bubbles in the ocean then and there - na tasya prana ukramanti. Brahmaiva san brahmapyati: ‘He has been contemplating throughout his life on the Absolute Self. He gets identified with the Absolute Self then and there’. This is called in the terminology of the Upanishads and the Vedanta philosophy Sadyamukti, instantaneous liberation. It is an immediate salvation of the soul, which is attained on account of freedom from desire that has arisen on account of desire for the Atman. This is the glorious destination of the spiritual adept who spends his life in contemplation on the Universal Being.

A Perfect Engineering

HORMONES: - We are crossing a street “Lookout” somebody yells. We turn our head and see that a truck has run a red light and is thundering towards us at high speed.

Our body instantly equips us for emergency action. Our brain flashes an urgent message to our (ADRENAL GLANDS) which respond by pouring ADRENALINE and NORADREALINE into our blood stream. These hormones shut down the blood supply to parts of body whose services are not immediately needed for escape, and they rush it to reinforce our brain, heart, and muscles.

ADRENALINE and NORADRENALINE force our heart to beat hard and fast. They widen, the airways of our lungs, our breathing quickens. They boost our blood sugar to supply maximum energy. In a twinkling hormones have helped us equip to perform feats of strength and endurance for beyond our normal ability.

The truck roars nearer the ground shakes. There is not a second to spare. We make a mighty leap to the safety of the sidewalk. We gasp for breath, our heart pounds our stomach churns our hand tremble- but we are alive. Now the hormones restore the blood supply to parts of body in normal condition.

In such situations hormones help us to save lives. But they do far more than that. They help us grow and develop into healthy men and women. They make possible our sexuality and reproduction. If we are cold or hot or hungry or thirsty or bleeding or sick, they assist us. And they are on the job 24 hours a day.

But how is all this work organized in our bodies? To help us understand that, let us consider what hormones are and how they function:

Hormones – are chemical substances that are manufactured by our endocrine glands, which means “Secreting directly into”? Since they secrete hormones directly into the blood stream, as the heart pumps the blood through the body, the hormones speed to various destinations, where they accomplish their work.

In order for the hormones to perform their functions, good communication is needed among our body parts. All of us have complex communications systems that transmit information to keep us alive and operating smoothly.

The ENDOCRINE system and NERVOUS system- The body sends its messages by means of nervous system, a high-speed communications network that was electrochemical signals.

In the body chemical messengers (Hormones) travels, through the bloodstream or other body fluids. These hormones travel to muscles, organs, or glands far from their point of origin. Once they reach their destination, they set in motion a series of complex chemical reactions to accomplish their purpose. But how is all this activity directed and co-ordinate. Let us look at Master Gland.

PITUITARY :- (The master glands) – The overseer of the endocrine system is the pituitary a small reddish gray organ that is attached to the brain by a slender stalk and that lies in a bonny pocket just behind and above the nose.

The pituitary is not impressive to look at. It is only the size of a pee, and its weight is mere 0.6 gm. But even though the pituitary is small, its responsibility is immense. It has been called the master gland, the conductor of the endocrine orchestra. Some jobs the pituitary delegates to other endocrine glands. For example the pituitary launches a hormonal message into the blood stream ordering the thyroid gland to produce and release three other hormones. These control metabolism, body heat and bone maintenance. The pituitary gland likewise commands the sex glands to produce the hormones that will bring about the physical changes of puberty. The master gland also instructs the adrenals to manufacture hormones that maintain blood pressure and salt balance in the body.

At times, though, the pituitary cares for matters directly, sending out hormonal messages that influence the growth of our bones and muscles. Its hormones even control how tall we will be.

The pituitary further plays a big role in delivering babies. To assist a woman in labor, the pituitary sends out OXYTOCIN a hormone that stimulates contractions of the womb. When the baby’s head reaches the birth canal, the brain sends a message to the pituitary requesting an extra Supply of oxytocin to help with the final phase of delivery. All along hormones from the pituitary have been stimulating the production of milk on the mother’s breasts, when baby is born, mother is equipped to feed it.

While the pituitary is the overseer of other glands, it has its own overseer- the HYPOTHALAMUS. This is a cluster of nerve cells no larger than the tip of our thumb. It is located at the base of the brain and is connected to the pituitary. Its job is not only to supervise the work of the endocrine system but also to co-ordinate the work of the automatic nervous system.

Part of its work is to test the make up and temperature of the blood. More blood gushes through the hypothalamus than any other part of the brain. If the blood is too cool, the hypothalamus sends instructions (via the pituitary and thyroid) for more THYROXINE, a hormone that boosts metabolism to produce heat to warm the blood.

Since the hypothalamus does its work automatically. We are usually unaware of its labors; yet, it has a day to day effect on our lives. Are we hungry? Our hypothalamus has detected too little glucose in our blood, it is telling us to eat. Are we thirsty? Our hypothalamus has decided that the salt level in our blood is a little too high. “Drink some water” it tells us.

The hypothalamus also monitors levels of calcium in the blood, without calcium our brain, muscles, and nerves would not work properly. When the level of blood calcium, is too low, the hypothalamus is withdrawing calcium from the bones, much as draw money from a bank.

How is the calcium withdrawal made?

The hypothalamus sends a hormonal message to the pituitary. The pituitary launches its own command to the PARATHYROIDS located in the neck. The Parathyroid, in turn, secretes Para hormone, which goes to the bones to request calcium for the blood stream. Once the hypothalamus sees that the calcium level is correct, it cancels orders for further withdrawals.

But what is the hypothalamus learns that there is too much calcium in blood? Once again messengers are sent to the “bone bank” but instead of making a withdrawal, they make a deposit. This is the procedure. The hypothalamus sends a message to its Chief Executive, (THE PITUITARY). The pituitary now issues a command to the thyroid. The thyroid, intern, sends out the hormone Calcitonin, which acts to transfer, excess calcium from the blood to the bones.

What a master piece of organization;

The hypothalamus controls the pituitary.
The pituitary directs the glands. And
The glands regulate the body.

And all of this is done by more than 30 different kinds of hormones that flow silently through our body to care for our most basic physical needs. Yet despite the complexity of all this, the endocrine system operates with stunning efficiency.

THALAMUS (The Sixth Sense): - As is well known, many animals can sense impending danger or other happenings, can react to these and other happenings beyond the reach of sight, hearing or smell, and can most probably register an awareness of electromagnetism in the atmosphere, be it in the form of Radio waves, Infrared waves, Radiation or Sunspot activity. Most people already accept the fact that the five senses of ancient tradition just do not represent all our known faculties. Women in particular are perceptive and intuitive to a degree not explained by any of the conventional sense. Among God’s creations, the human being alone has the privilege of being endowed with six faculties, one among them being the power of discrimination. He can study the conditions and act without committing a mistake. Hence he should conduct himself in much a manner as to leave on indelible mark. Man has achieved fame in different fields like music engineering, religious, literature and oratory. A rare instance of extending compassion, even to the lowest of living beings. The Plant’s which has just one sense that stands green in the memory of people.

We all have one, although none of us has ever seen it. It is no bigger than our little finger, and until recently was not thought to be very interesting or important, But now we know it may well be by fat the most important single organ of our entire bodies.

It is called the THALAMUS, and is a little pinkish, rod-shaped. Cluster of Nerves and cells, lying at the bottom center of the brain. Hidden out of sight below the enveloping folds of the Cerebrum or ‘Gray matter’. It belongs in fact to the oldest part of the brain and is now thought to be a kind ‘inner Brain’ of the highest importance to every human life. Some Scientist even-calls it the old Brain or reptile Brain.

We are all endowed, as it were, with two separate brains. The large main one, called the Cerebrum or cortex does all the day-to-day work required of it. Through its ten billion plus nerve cells, electromagnetic impulses ceaselessly flow, representing our myriad thoughts, ideas, impressions and all the constant signals of our everyday senses.

How does the Thalamus function? The Thalamus is known to receive all incoming sensations and to judge and co-ordinate them. When the Thalamus is affected, it sparks off other reactions in the main cortex (which is probably controls) and so a very special kind of ‘Brainwashing’ take place and the mind of most of us are ‘cleansed of Fogs, fevers, delusions and depressions, fears and frustrations.

Yet the Thalamus cannot be made to feel, nor can it be checked when it does feel.

One of the simplest illustrations of the power of the Thalamus, Now being uncovered is the far merely inexplicable but quite common sense of the presence of solid objects, We are all aware of solid objects like walls, curves and so on without actual sight or physical contact, and often we involuntarily take avoiding action as we approach them. This subtle mysterious sense certainly is a Sixth Sense. Similarly, the Thalamus is most likely responsible for the way sleep-walkers avoid mishap whilst moving about in their trances also the strange way in which some people can pickup ultrasonic sound through the surface of their stain, not through their ears.

Within the mysterious recesses of the Thalamus must lay the key to such human problems as clairvoyance Telepathy and ESP (extra-sensory-perception), each of which is now readily accepted as a scientific certainly.

In some of the experiments, at the Rockefeller Institute, Chosen people, who claimed to have these or similar powers, were tested under rigorous control, and it was found that, many of them could in fact, foretell almost to a second. When a telephone bell would ring or door opens, or someone say something, even what they were about to say.

Such Super-perception is a type of sixth sense.

The next problem is to discover how we can put the powers of the Thalamus to work to release for our own use the far-reaching and amazing new dimensions of the human mind to which it seems to offer the key.

What is life?

I have been thinking for a long time about what we do in our life. We start by being taught in school, how to become a good citizens. We spend a great part of our childhood studying. And finally we get the diploma that will ensure us “the position we deserve”. We participate to increase of unemployment……….until we find a job. Through hard tests we are accepted in the world of work. We perform a good professional career filled with activity and efforts……a lot of efforts…….till we fall down exhausted… But we are great professionals with our valuable market share.

Time keep on passing, and….we select new targets. We meet the sweetheart of our life, and promise a never ending love. Passionate hugs and here comes a baby into our home. Dammed night couldn’t close my eyes. We keep on advancing in the society trying to make the best of our time. We are the stars. Where ever we go and we are finally rich, but we need sometime more to triumph completely. O God ! One day they tell they can do without you. By this time you think getting crazy. You feel destroyed. You feel you lost means of communication; you realize you are cut-off from everything. Now time does not pass any longer. Still you are loosing it. You realize you have been living in the fog, in search of a silly target. You become walking Ghost. Trying to escape your enemies. You are only one longing hours to pass till your time comes.

Upon this evaluation, an idea came to my mind on how to improve my life. I will take things easy. I will try to open my heart to my love. I will listen to the ones surrounding me. I will save more time to spend it with my friends. I will try to travel more. No karaoke, I will never do, but I believe I will sing.

  • What is Mantra ?

Speech is creative. It creates forms of emotion, mental images and impulses of action. Mantra is a word of power born out of the secret depth of our being where it has been brooded upon by a deeper consciousness than the mental, framed in the heart and not constructed by the intellect, held in the mind, again concentrated on by the waking mental consciousness and then thrown out silently or vocally- the silent word is perhaps held to be more potent than the spoken- precisely for the work of creation. The mantra cannot only create new subjective states in ourselves, alter our physical being, reveal knowledge and faculties we did not possess earlier. It can also produce similar vibrations in the mental and vital atmosphere which result in effects, in actions and even in the production of material forms on the physical plan.

Use has to be made of some mental means or support by which the mind, accustomed to run about from object to object, shell get fixed on the idea of the divine. It is usually a name or a form or a mantra by which the thought can be fixed in the sole knowledge or adoration of the Lord. By this concentration on the idea the mind enters from the idea into its reality, into which it sink silenty, absorbed, unified.

Those who discuss / argue on Mantra science mainly ask show some miracle. In fact to-day man has become so fast that he wants to grow seed on his hand.

Mantra’s concentration is basically is word which is the base like seed, it grows slowly and become large and large. There is no wonder if word nature might create special changes in our life.

This world was created with Panch Bhuta पञ्च भूत i.e. Earth, Water, Fire, sky, and air. Modern Science also believes this. Our Sages & Saints also believe same. On this Panch Bhuta our language also developed and progresses in accordance with science. Language has got five (Varg वर्ग ) Their pronunciation is produced by five organs. (कंठ , तालू , मूर्धा , दंत , and ओष्ठ , each has got its own importance/ recognition, but one element mix with other very easily. Same way each word from different (वर्ग ) can be spoken with each other and do not loose their impression like the word made with (हंकार , हस्ती , हस्त सिंह , महान ) etc. All have (हंकार ) (हा ) is a symbol of ether. That is why the word made with ( हंकार ) has attainment like sky.

What is OM ॐ ?- Om is the Mantra, the expressive sound-symbol of the Brahmn Consciousness. The function of the mantra is to create vibrations in the inner consciousness. The mantra Om opens the consciousness to the sight and feeling of the One consciousness in all material things, in the inner being and in the supra-physical worlds, in the casual plan above, and finally, in the supreme librated transcendence above all cosmic existence. The mantra is the most direct and heightened, an intense and most divinely burdened rhythmic word which embodies an intuitive and revelatory inspiration and envelops the mind with the sight and the presence of the very self, the innermost reality of things, with its truth and the divine soul forms of it, the Godheads which are born from the living Truth. It is a supreme rhythmic language which seizes hold upon all that is finite and brings into each the light and voice of its own infinite.

It is a word of power and light that comes from the over mind inspiration, or from some high plane of intuition. Its characteristics are a language that convey infinitely more than the language and is borne out of the infinite and disappears into it. It has power to convey not merely the mental, vital or physical content or indications or values of the thing uttered, but its significance and figure in some fundamental and original consciousness which is behind all these and greater.

When the mantra sinks in yoga’s ear,
  • Its message enters stirring the blind brain, and keeps in the dim ignorant cells its sound।
  • The hearer understands a form of words, and musing on the index thought it holds।
  • He strives to read it with the labouring mind, but fins bright hints, not the embodied truth।
  • Then, falling silent in himself to know, he meets the deeper listening of his soul.
The words repeats itself in rhythmic strain.
  • Thought, vision, feeling, sense, the body’s self. Are seized unutterably and he endures.
An ecstasy and an immortal chang.
  • He feels wideness and becomes a powe.
  • All knowledge ruses on him like a se.
  • Transmuted by the white spiritual ra. He walks in naked heavens of joy and calm.
  • Sees the God-face and hears the transcendent speech.

Word combination is mantra. -When we write it separately (अ -उ -म ) it is letters , when we write it combined and pronounce it becomes mantra. Every letter, which combines and creates a frequency vibration in air, is called Mantra.

The word Mantra comes from Rigveda (Rik means mantra). Mantra can be divided into “मन ” and “त्र .” ‘मन ’ refers to the mind and ‘त्र ’ is the process thus the process to control / understand the mind is the essence of Mantra.

Mantra could be single word or a whole sentence. The most widely used is ॐ or AUM. It is said that the first primordial sound produced at the time of creation was the syllable AUM hence it became the first Mantra. The sound ‘A’ starts from the vocal chords, ‘U’ from the throat and ‘M’ when the lips are closed thus completing the passage of sound in our body. As such this is the longest and the fullest vowel. AUM embraces all the sounds within it and also represents the three states of consciousness viz. The waking state and the deep sleep state.

The sound of AUM can be further broken down as ‘A’ for gross material world, which we perceive through our sense organs, ‘U’ or the subtle- your experiences, and ‘M’ stands for the un-manifest or the world of sleep. (For those who suffer from insomnia the best Mantra is humming ‘mmmmmmm). Constant chanting of AUM transcends barriers and connects us to the very source of existence or GOD.

Mantra is a Godly power. It raises hidden power of human. Its regular recitation will fulfill all desires. The Science of Mantra cannot be purchased of money or wealth. It does not require recognition for its truth by us. In fact this science does not require any equipment or machinery. This is only reason it has got an unfathomed depth of technique. It requires the guidance as in modern science. Also need guidance but it is in process that is why we don’t feel its necessity.

In materialistic view the Mantra Science’s importance is reduced. That is the reason the knower of the Mantra Science are not available in large. We will get many to believe that Cerodine tablet will reduce the head-ache, but hundreds of us will laugh, joke that there is such people who remove poison of snake bite, Scorpion bite or other poisonous insect by Mantras. The reason we don’t get the people or capable person everywhere, every-now and then. In this only fault of Materialistic who has degraded this science. This does not mean that there is no truth in Mantra science.

The significance of saying NAMASKAR

One of the single contributions of Hinduism to the world to solve problems which trouble various nations is the weapon termed “Namaskar” a method to express the view that God resides in the heart of every person. Folding the palms and bowing the head can help us to ford across linguistic and other barriers. Namaskar namaskaar diminishes our selfishness and induces in us the desire to help others and co-operate with them to fetch peace.

In religious parlance this step of displaying our utter humility is also termed “Anjali anjali.” The significance behind this demonstration of one’s modesty is the acceptance of the theory that the obeisance shown is to the Almighty who has taken a birth in every heart. There is the presence of the Divine in all souls. This noble concept has been given to the world of culture by the Hindu religion.

Saying “Namaste” or doing the “Pranam”. Removes from us, the feeling of enmity, jealously and selfishness, it makes us forget the differences between the higher and the low. In the present day, people tend to give up their faith in God by monstrously constricting their hearts. Resorting to the offering of salutations to even those who may hate us can change the situation.

The classic example of invoking divine help in times of peril is that of Draupadi mentioned in our Scripture. When even her husbands could not help, she gave an open acknowledgement of her surrender through this gesture and God’s help was instantaneous. So did the innocent maiden of the village where the Lord resided during His incarnation as Shri Krishna in His youngest days. The scriptures beckon us to accept that God who has created us has also taken a place in our hearts.

The scriptures create an awakening in us that all are but the children of God. Behind this concept lies the tradition of doing the Pranam and prostrating by even aged men before sages, saints, Godly men and divine personalities though they may be young because they are messengers of God.

PHILOSOPHY OF NAMASTE :- The main point of all Indian Spiritual practices is to raise the Kundalini Shakti (The agent of soul expansion) from the Muldhara Chakra in the perineum to the Sahasara Chakra in the head, thereby enlarging knowledge and insight and opening up the world of higher consciousness. All the exercise found in our various systems of Yoga, namely, Bhakti, (Devotion,) Karma (action), and Jnana, (Knowledge), are based on Dharma (Righteousness) and are complementary in the process which is evolutionary in nature. This is the concept of Ardhanaareesware (Shiva and Shakti in one cosmic form).

Shiva is the Lord of Yoga in our tradition and the Shakti is Bio-Energy that is Creative power in us to realize the highest goal in life. Ardhanaareeswara is the one cosmic Form in which both the matter and spirit are perfectly united and integrated. We are reminded of this highest philosophy of life as and when we do NAMASTE in our day to day life because the wise people who introduced this Namaste in our culture knew that in this practice alone lays our real happiness.

The literary meaning of Namaste is, I bow my head in front of you. The simple act on the part of a person of bringing the left hand and right hand together. Just over the breast is accepted as a humble greeting and reciprocated accordingly knowing or unknowingly, however helped themselves to make any progress in their lives and in the lives of the others did it in tune with the spirit of Namaste. Where ever the humility is absent and not expressed in any human forms of matter and spirit, whether it is in the relationship between employer and the employed, Student and teacher, rich and poor, man and woman etc. there remain tension and frustration in the life of man and woman and nation.

We do many things, which include criticizing and fault finding without knowing why and for what we are doing them. These actions produce no meaningful result compared to those of a man who acts with proper understanding. The gesture of Namaste embodies the efforts to know and act properly. The spirit of this simple practice does produce better understanding and genuine interest in human welfare, not only in our country but also in the whole world.

Namaste is part and partial of the system of self-culture of this land, which has been revived recently by Saints like Ramana Maharshi, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobind, and others. Therefore in addition to cultivating a life according to its great philosophy, Namaste helps us to work out life in harmony with the progress of our evolutionary process.

We can find in India millions of religious minded people doing Namaste to various deities in our temples, but many people now a days, do it quite mechanically without knowing its significance. That they are not sincere to the philosophy of Namaste may be due to their not knowing about it.

The purity that develops in us is based on the right understanding of two aspects of life symbolized by the folded hands in Namaste. The folded hands are always drawn towards the breast and placed right in front of the heart. What is the reason for this?

The body is a combination of chemical elements. Indian Rishis knew this fact thousands of years ago and it was clarified and taught by Kapila Maharishi through Sankhya Yoga. This was long before the discoveries of modern science in this line. He explained that all the forms are a combination of Earth (Solid), Water (Liquid), Fire (Gas), Air (Oxygen), and Ether (Subatomic Matter). Tantric School of Yoga without it no form can ever exist also recognized the source of Bio-Energy on which all these elements depend as Kundalini Shakti.

In the Kundalini Yoga system and tantric practice, stages of understanding have been linked with the knowledge of the chemical combination of this world and the spirit that keeps it going. The location of these centers of consciousness had been made on the Torso. A man can still live when both the legs and hands are amputated. But none can survive when the torso is cut apart. This proves the correct location of Bio-energy of Kundalini Shakti in connection with the special cord in living beings.

The energy of spirit is that which is important in man and it is to be maintained in harmony with the form. In this alone lies hope for progress in human evolution. This harmony is the basic theme of Namaste in our culture. This is also the cream of the teachings of various yoga systems. The sum total of this energy or spirit is called self or GOD and is one and the same to every one in this world. It is so because the principles of functioning of the form and spirit are common to all mankinds.

The spiritual heart in man is recognized in Yoga systems as Anahata Chakra or air element. Consider the working of a turbo-generator. It though the co-operation of the solid form of the engine with the suitable steam form boiling water that results are achieved and work is done, Similar is the case with the body. It works because we take solid and liquid food and convert it to energy by digesting it with the aid of digestive fire, this stirs the heart to life and the relationship between cause and abstaining from food for a few days can test effect here.

The spiritual heat, which is made of the air-element, is the seat of feeling in us. To start with, it is this little feeling that helps us to expand emotionally and intellectually in thought, word, and deed. Therefore the simple silent Namaste remind us to recognize the important center of our life principle and communicate the feeling of welcome and friendship to the person when we wish it.

Now we can well imagine how significant is Namaste in our culture and how it can help us to attain cordial relations with one and all in this world. This Namaste creates a feeling of belonging, friendliness, and brotherhood among people and establishes a true welfare society where there is no dearth of basic necessities of life for common man. At the same time it makes us ponder our matter and spirit, life and death in humanity with feeling that keeps on expanding in every one of us in tune with nature.

Namaste is the cultivation of a new trend in our personality and integrated approach to life. It is like the negative and positive terminals that help to generate light. It cannot be cultivated by indulging in any one thing without any inhibitions.

Purity is the backbone of four spiritual progresses. Purity of body and mind are essential to make any progress in the field of higher consciousness or even to transcend our subconscious. Consciousness is ever pure and limitless and purity in life identifies us with it. We are neither sure of the existence of this nor do we have any knowledge of it as a thing in itself because our bodies and minds are not pure. But Namaste can helps us here, objective study can guide us to subjective understanding but it is practice and discipline which leads to reduction of impurity. This cannot be achieved through any kind of indulgence.

In Namaste we are integrated with purity of thought into oneness and with the proper understanding of matter and spirit embodied in the joined hands and humanity expressed by the bowed head, we attune ourselves to the unknown power consciousness with us.

Namaste is distinct from all other forms of greeting, such as the handshake, in that it helps us to transcend the self-imposed physical and mental limitations. Two people must be involved in the handshake for each to be satisfied. This imposes limitations and it become physically impossible to deal with large number of people, as in an assembly, but in Namaste one man can greet thousand of people. And simultaneously thousands in the audience respond with Namaste.

We also find our artists doing it as and when they come on the stage. This, no doubt, brings individual satisfaction to all. Namaste mentally takes shape in the heart and transcends beyond it, until it enables us to achieve unity in diversity is expended consciousness. Therefore Namaste helps to establish report with people without any inhibition or limitations. What so ever.

Repetition of our action establishes strong tendencies and from character and conduct. This process operates both for good and for evil. Therefore, if a custom like greeting with Namaste is done by us in our daily lives sincerely and humbly. After us in our daily lives sincerely and humbly, after knowing its philosophy and significance, it is bound to help us to mould our lives in tune with the true spirit of Namaste.

It is customary to do Namaste to one’s deity, parents, teachers, guests, friends, and holy men. This helps a man to extend it to all human beings who comes in contact with him. Gradually this practice even helps him to do Namaste to all living beings as all the living beings are considered to be within the family of one God, who is the real creator. Soon after the Aarti or showing of the light made of wicks of chamfer to the deity is over, it is customary for all the participants to do Namaste to the presiding deity. This is done to remind the devotees who take part in such congregations to surrender themselves to the source of life without any reservation. It is also a reminder to the people of the Namaste Philosophy. Many sculptures and paintings in our temples and museums indicate that this practice was prevalent in ancient India.

Self-surrender is the essence of devotion and faith and this faith develops out of the repeated performance of Namaste before any form of deity. In the matter of self-surrender, most people do it half-heartedly.

The self-surrender demanded by the practice of Namaste should not be mistaken for the surrender of the ego of a person to the ego of another person. It is surrender to the self or Bio-energy in both. It is the feeling of the unity in diversity that is achieved by the element of humility and surrender in Namaste.

When persons inimical to each other do Namaste in proper attitude, it is bound to reduce tension in mind and animate and help them to achieve cordially and friendship.

Though simple and easy Namaste is the higher form of Sadhana or spiritual practice containing the cream of selfless service, devotion, dedication and self-surrender for attaining the wisdom of unity in diversity. It helps a man to cultivate spirit of selfless service; devotion to God, dedication to noble causes self –surrender to divinity and a feeling or oneness and brotherhood of humanity in his relation to fellow beings in tune with Reality.

A man is transformed into this attitude by doing Namste in it’s to spirit. But Namaste, if practiced sincerely, will definitely lead a person day by day nearer to the final goal while helping to maintain a harmonious relation with his surroundings and contact. Sincerely and humility in our daily practice of Namaste build-up honest in life.

Whenever any one succeeded in any undertaking material or spiritual, we find that he was always sincere, humble, and honest to his establishment or ideas. In the same manner, when ever we see the downfall of a powerful person who was pretending to be trying that he was lacking in these qualities.

Let us now discuss how this simple Namaste is practiced. The Mantra in this Sadhana is, of course, Namaste. The Mudra or pose is the joining of the palms and drawing them towards the breast while bowing the head in humility. In this we are to generate the feeling in our hearts that we are encountering God in the other person. We should be sincere in our thought. “I see God in you” while doing Namaste. This produces prosperity and progress in our material and spiritual life. Once we are introduced to its philosophy our life becomes smooth and happy.

In fact our ego melts in Namaste when we make up our mind to feel that there are many more universes yet to be discovered by us. The spirit of integrating elements in Namaste helps a millionaire to understand the plight of a poor man to appreciate the position of a rich man. Namaste, in fact, practically, helps us to integrate these two aspects in all walks of life. No methods however cleverly, logically and scientifically planned and designed for propaganda can ultimately produce better results if the Namaste spirit of integrating matter and spirit based on the minimum of qualifications needed for its practice is absent in our day to day life.

Hinduism (Contd….)

It blossomed in a settled society which had security and leisure, as no culture can flourish in a community of nomads who struggle for food and die early of privation. In northern India bound by the high Himalayas on one side and deep seas on the others, there was no danger of outside invasions for a long time and this region washed by the great Ganga and other six or seven rivers had great gifts of nature and bounteous food, forests and cattle wealth and people were not to struggle hard for good living or for power, riches and domination. When people were not to waste their energy in finding out a comfortable and secure living, their attention naturally goes to creation of art, developing sciences and for the higher life to live more perfectly in the spirit. The huge forests and open natural expanse provided the devote souls many avenues to wander through and being at peace with themselves they burst forth in song and joyous utterances in praise of the natural forces. Many, thinking men set up ashrams or hermitages for medication on deeper problems of existence. They had an impatience of spiritual love for wisdom and a passion for the saner pursuits of the mind and with this spiritual consciousness they found religious truths.

The account of the origin of Hindu religion began with the Vedic hymns which embody the character and function of the various gods and these hymns passed on from generation to generation orally as in those ancient days, people were ignorant of the art of writing and early inscriptions were at the time of Ashoka in the middle of 3rd BC or the numismatic evidence of writing came in during the invasion of Alexander. The records of sacred literature of the non-Aryan races of south India also were known after they came in contact with the Hindus of north India in the 100 BC, according to some authorities.

The Vedic gods mentioned in the Vedic hymns, were said to control the chief energies of nature. The ancient Rishis or religious personalities having been impressed by the natural forces and facts had a sense of awe, admiration, helplessness and wonder towards them and burst forth in songs or utterances called as hymns in praise of these forces. They were wonder struck by thunder, lightening, rains, wind, earth sun & moon, Akash or sky, Agni or fire, rivers, mountains etc. and considering them as divine powers, they sang their praises and themselves feeling small and helpless sought their blessings and protection.

There was some sort of animism and anthropomorphism in earlier days that these natural forces and even man made objects like implements, weapons etc. were living gods or as mighty human like beings and were given names as for idols to be worshipped and prayed to get prosperity and health and for protection against diseases, pestilences, draught, famines, floods and for all earthly comforts and even for good living in the next life after death. The gods of the elements were such as Indra animating Akasha or Agni animating fire and warmth Pavan residing in Vayu or air, Varuna residing in or controlling Apa or waters in the seas and rivers, Kubra or Krshiti ruling the earth or Prithvi etc. They were considered real entities or spiritual intelligences, each having its region as ruler or lord of the region. Below these principal sovereign rulers were said to be countless Devas and Devatas in descending order, all said to be 333 in number with their spouses. There was a sort of polytheism and the religious instinct was revealed in this polytheism and this was the first stage of the Vedic religion. With more enlightenment, rationalism & religious fervor then the need was felt for a higher spirit to appeal to when the gods were all in one concept of a Vishva Deva fo”o or pantheism.

This was monotheism. This was based on the feeling for the infinite which penetrated the boundless and brilliant firmament of heaven, the sun, moon & the stars and so also the storms clouds, winds, the rivers the seas and the earth and in fact everything experienced. The moral qualities of beneficence omniscience, omnipotent and righteousness were attributed to them. There was a steady advance from the physical to the personal and-from the personal to divine as manifestation of the same one divine spirit in habiting them all. The crowd of gods and goddesses sometimes thwarting each other, was thus replaced by monotheism and the highest position, as in the later part of the Rig Veda was granted to Brahaspati, Prajapati the lord of all creatures or to Hiraynagarbha as the supreme being which was formless, impersonal, pure and passionless being addressed as He or It was the Absolute, as is thought of in the Upanishads. In fact, each Veda is composed of the three parts.

The first is the Samhita or the collection of Hymns or mantras in praises of the various gods, secondly the Brahmans, discussing rituals to be observed by the householders including the percepts and of religious duties. While the hymns were the creation of the poets and seers, the Brahmans were the work of the priest. In the third place were the Upanishads like Aitareya, Kena, Chandogya, Ise Taittiriya Braha-daranyka Mandukya etc. discussing philosophical thoughts and were the result of the meditations of philosophers and great religious personalities. These were the philosophical part of each Veda where the unconscious groping for unity led to the Absolute the ultimate as alluded to above as the universal spirit embodying all the gods or all that exists.

The longing of the human heart could not be satisfied with a pluralistic pantheon as men asked to which god they shall pray. (Kasmi Devaya havisha Vidhema). Even monotheism was criticised, as one great god under whom the others lived does not satisfy human mind with regard to the essence of the universe. We must feel or experience the one spiritual reality and not the anthropomorphic deity or monotheism. "The spiritual reality must be one uniform, eternal, necessary, fluttering about and gaily chirping is happy and enjoying himself when the first bird is amused over his childish pranks and sweetly smiles on his foolishness. In all of us is the second bird, the little self, ego or individual self or soul which is struggling in life, enjoying and suffering and which is the doer, the achiever and the player in the drama of life.

There is the first bird also in us which is the true Atma which watches the doings of the little self like the 2nd bird which sometimes chides and warns and like a benevolent mother or the inner monitor checks and rebukes but being itself aloof or not concerned does not suffer and is not affected the doing of the little self or ego. This little light within is the voice of God or God in us as the true Atma, a part of the cosmic soul, like a drop in the ocean or rivers has the urge to merge in the fathomless ocean so each individual soul wishes to merge in the cosmic soul or Braham or identify with it. Such is essentially the teaching of the Upanishads about which Schopenhauer said "Upanishad had been the solace of my life and would be the solace of my death".

There is no scope for pessimism in Upanishads. The whole nature exists for man. This life is a stage and opportunity for spiritual development and perfection. Life is no empty dream and the world is no delirium of spirit. Upanishads do not favor sacrifice, praise of God or prayer to the personal God. The true sacrifice is that the man himself is effacing the self or ego by renunciation or by subduing his desires and keeping in check his creatures. Comforts and worldly pursuits and pleasures. One's whole life is to be one sacrament or Yajna when all the actions, feelings and thoughts are an offering to the supreme.

No rigid rituals are necessary. The Brahamans or priests are described as procession of dogs, each holding, the tail of the other and chanting "om" ¬ let us eat, Om' ¬ let us drink 'Om' ¬ let us enjoy ourselves. The higher knowledge is by which the indestructible Braham is known and the vedantic doctrine of Shankra, Yoga of Patanjali and Sankhya Sashtra of Kapila can all be traced to the Upnishads. In the Taittiriya Upnishad when the son asks his father where from these beings are born, that in which they live and that in which they enter after death is Braham. The son is made to believe that the body and the smaller prana (life) manas mental processes or psyche and consciousness) vijana (knowledge and intelligence) and bliss (Anand) Blissful state of self forgetfulness and obliteration of the self are all ultimately Braham or Nirguna Braham.

The life of man is the time for preparing the soul for eternity or to join the world spirit or Braham. Man is said to be like an onion with sheaths one over the other. He is to penetrate and reach the real self. The outer vegetating body is the Unnmay Kosh, underneath is the Pranmay Kosh or the active being full of life and zest of living, further down is the manmay Kosh or the mental processes and activities like learning, memorizing, imagination, paying attention etc. Then is the Gyan Kosh or body of knowledge acquired by thinking and reflection leading to understanding and insight into the nature of things and the reality behind all existences.

The fifth stage is the Anandmay Kosh when one rising above self and breaking all the bonds & shackles of worldly desires reaches a state of mind when renunciation, self-abnegation, self forgetfulness and self-obliteration lead to blissful existence and one is merged in the cosmic spirit or Braham and become one with it or is identified with it. This state of Anandmakosh is fullness of other tendencies or states and in this state the individual soul merges with the cosmic soul for which experience each individual is to seriously apply himself as this is the ultimate goal of life and there is nothing else to achieve. This is called Moksha or self-realization or Nirvana. This is called Yoga or joining the ultimate like a drop joining the ocean & becoming one with it. Man in his life is to struggle and tries to reach the last stage of his existence by his own efforts and Sadhana, as nobody outside him can fight his battle for him. One may suggest and show the path as a Guru does, but the disciple has to make all efforts himself, as guardianship of mind is not possible.

In the Upanishads we also find the division of the life of man or his living time or states in which he lives. The waking state, sleeping state and dreaming state are quite obvious and understandable. But there is said to be the 4th state of sound and dreamless sleep which is not unreal or non existent as one after getting up says that he had a dreamless and sound sleep such a state of mind of complete self-forgetfulness and self-destruction is called Turiya state. This transcends them all. This is not blank or nothingness or a negative calm.

Every individual had duties to perform which was his Dharma and by living according to his Dharma could the individual reach liberation or moksha as dharma was the means and liberation the end or goal of life. The Pandit or Brahman had duties for learning, the warrior or Kashtriya the duty of fighting for his just cause and to save others from fear and calamities. The worker or cultivator or one doing business had the duty to earn wealth for the sustenance of himself and all others. The labourer or servant had the duty to acquire knowledge and physical health. The householder had the duty to bring up healthy children and to give alms or charity freely to the mendicants and other needy persons. He was to treat the guests like gods and entertain them with courtesy and respect. In the family life the wife had equal rites with her own duty to serve her husband and to stand by him through thick and thin. The Younger had to give due respects and regard to the elders and obey them.

All had to practice non-violence, true speaking, self control, honesty, trustworthiness, greedless ness, generosity, perseverance in work, faithfulness and such moral qualities and one maxim which every body must remember was "Thou shall not do to others what is disagreeable to thyself." In the event of clash in duties the example of the great has to be followed and the truly great are Atmajani or those who possess spiritual knowledge. The extremes are to be avoided and a middle course is the best. In the case of transgression of the law or rule of good conduct, confession and repentance are enjoined upon to the offender. Faith in Karma or fruits of action in this life was prominent in Mahabharata as success was dependent on one's own efforts and not merely on what was done in previous life as the man had freedom of action and could modify the effects of past Karma which were like fire which could be fanned into a flame or extinguished by our own efforts.

The Mahabharata was fought, between the Kaurvas and Pandavas on the just cause to assert ones' right leniency, good sense and tolerance. To suffer from injustice was as bad as to be unjust. No Body should be allowed to ride roughshod and to trample over you but each individual has a right to live with honour and dignity and anybody denying this right should be fought till the end. Dharma is to save himself even by killing others who want to destroy him as life is continuous and one is born again after death when one only changes his, clothes, name and station. There is no sin in fighting even ones' own Kith and kin, if they don't allow you to live in peace with honour as all relations are relative and not absolute. People come and go and there is no remores in elimination of the oppressor whosoever he may be.

The Ramayana is essentially the story of the Wars of the Aryans with the then natives of India who were adopting the Aryan civilization. More specifically it is concentrated on Rama, the hero, the model of Virtue and perfection and as said to be the incarnation of Vishnu (according to some authorities), He was born to suppress the wrong doers and to inculcate virtues in the heart of man by his own example. To a more rational being Rama was only a good man, an embodiment of all human excellence an ideal son, an ideal brother, ideal husband, ideal king and an ideal warrior so high souled and high minded as to be emulated. He was worthy of worship and was actually worshipped in so many temples throughout the country with his consort Sita. Some may critise him for forsaking his wife who suffered so much hardship but for an ideal king who was so devoted to his subjects forsaking his wife was no great sacrifice in order to serve the masses whose welfare and good life he was duty bound to ensure.

Every year since time immorial Rama's conquest over Ravana the lusty demon who lifted away Sita by deception, is celebrated in the entire country as the Dussehra festival when the effigies of Ravan along with that of his brother, Kumbhkaran and son Megnad are burnt. This is the victory of good over evil. Similarly Deepawali is celebrated as the festival of light to commemorate the triumphant, return home of Rama with his brother Lakshmana and wife Sita from his 14 years exile after killing Ravan & his supporters. His life is a saga of suffering as an obedient and dutiful son, a dear brother and a loyal husband who searched for his beloved with tears, never forgetting her never faltering in his duty to save and serve his better half. Ordinary man will not undergo so much suffering for a woman but not Rama. For these qualities as a perfect man, Rama is deified and people take a lesson from his life and worship him to inculcate his qualities in themselves. The value of Ramayana lies in presenting to us mortals, the example of one ideal human being to be copied to make our life sublimes here and hereafter.

A word may be said about Manu and his Dharamsutras the Manu Smriti which had a great bearing on the consolidation of Hinduism as an organised religion for social guidance, if not for knowing the philosophy and the higher reality. The name of Manu even occurs in the Vedas as father Manu and he was known to exist in 1250 BC and is known to be familiar with the Vedas and refers to previous legislators and traditions.

The code of Manu belongs to the epic period. Manu accepts the ultimate reality as Braham or Hirangarbha out of which the world is said to evolve and the Brahmans were said to come out of its head Kashtriya out of its arms, Vaish or traders and cultivators out of the thighs and the Sudra out of the eliminatory region to explain metaphorically the caste distinctions which to Manu were ordained by God. Manu sanctified the family as the unit of society and in India the stable family is given by Manu as he thought of the husband to be one complete with his wife and offspring and without this the life of man in society was not possible. He maintained that women were created to be mothers and men to be fathers and thus the foundations of a stable and unbroken family as a social unit were laid and divorce was not known. Social duties were to be fulfilled first and foremost and the desires which were against one's dharma had to be curbed.

The Ashram Dharama of the individual in his 4 stages of life was enunciated. The Brahmachary was for learning and educating himself, the householder or Grahasti was to perform all duties as a citizen towards all concerned the Vanprasthi was to retire from home life to do social service and Sanyasi was to renounce the world and devote himself to raise the moral and cultural standard of the people by his discourses and teaching as a free lancer, or Privarajak.

This Varan Ashram Dharama as indicated above was the strong foundation on which Hindu q society was built up, though one could say that each individual was all the 4 castes rolled into one as one, is to be able to earn money for his upkeep & for social needs and to be able to serve by doing even menial jobs. It was a mistake of Manu to divide society in 4 castes which later became hereditary and hampered social growth in making Indian society progressive, outgoing and adventurous, though the caste system may have served some purpose to preserve the culture of each group and to meet the onslaughts of raiders, intruders, marauders and the outside invaders. But it stood in the way of creating a truly democratic polity.

The other great work which formed the strong pillar of the edifice of Hinduism was the Gita - which infect formed a part of Mahabharata, as it was in essence created on the battle field when Krishna instructed the faltering and wavering Arjuna about his duty as an insulted and wronged Warrior. Later formed a beautiful book on philosophy, ethics and religion but it essentially teaches everyone the way of liberation through Bhakti or devotion to God and here to lord Krishna himself in his universal spirit and form which he revealed to Arjuna who was overcome by anguish with the thought of Killing his own loved ones, Arjuna was full of false compassion and he was assailed by the doubt about the reality of things and the Maya of transitory attachment to his own desires and passion and love even for those opposing and tormenting him.

Lord Krishna told Arjuna that as a Kashtrya it was his duty or Dharma to fight the wrong doers and not to be dismayed by thought of destroying them as life is not destroyed and men come and go and when reborn they assume different forms, appearance and position in new places of residence as one changes his clothes and name. Each as a part of Braham which is behind the objects of the world. Individual Atma and the universal self, Paramatma or Braham are one, both being of identical nature and the individual Atma is to realise its true position as a part of Braham and to merge in it or to identify with it as is the goal of life and the end of all human endeavors. This realization is by love, faith, prayer and devotion or Bhakti of the personal God in the body of Krishna, though ultimately he is the Absolute, sat, chit and Anand or reality, goodness and bliss. Devotion to God requires Un-attachment to desires for sense objects and in Bhakti with prayer there is bliss and rapture due to oneness with God.

Though giving predominant position to Upasana or Bhakti, Gita also advocates the path of gyana or wisdom and of selfless action or Karma for reaching the goal of liberation or self-realization which mean identification of the Atma with Braham. Gita recogonizes acquiring knowledge of external things through intellect and also grasping the ultimate principal behind the apparent, through intuition. With intuition one can see God in every thing and with concentration and meditation the real can be realized. Gita asks everybody to do Nishkam Karma or action without attachment or being bound by one's duty is to work and not to be idle and not to expect the desired results. Honest trial is success as what else can one do except trying as the results are not in our hands or under our control. In doing selfless acts, egoism is eliminated and a sense of divine is kindled. Karma marga of doing work for the sake of doing and not for results or fruits of action leads us to a condition of heartfelt devotion to the divine.

Hinduism

It is well known that everyone is born for a noble cause. So, everyone has to be noble in thoughts, words and deeds. But what could be that noble cause? God is the all pervading spirit, the Universal Spirit, the Universal Consciousness activating everything everywhere with infinite power eternally. Everything starts from and ends with this infinite power which has no beginning and no end, which is immanent and transcendental, and absolute and independent but everything within is finite, temporary, imperfect and interdependent with one another. Of all the creations man only seems to be exceptional, rational and unique. So, man’s beginning must be in God and therefore man’s end should also be in God only. Because of this noble cause not only man has to be noble in mind, heart and soul but also has to lead noble life and finally embrace God nobly. If he is not so, he has to make himself so by practice and fulfil his destiny with full realization.

Hinduism is the religion of the large majority of the people of India and Nepal. It is the third largest and the oldest religion of the World. No one is actually certain how old is Hinduism but it can be said with certainty that Indus valley civilisation contributed some ideas to Hindu religion. The earliest known Hindu scriptures are the "Vedas". Vedas वेद्द describe the religion of Aryans आर्यन , who invaded India around 1500 B.C.

It essentially arose as the religion of the Aryanas आर्यन who settled in the northern India from central Asia which was called in ancient days as Aryavarta आर्यावर्त , and the originator initiates were mostly the Rishis ऋषि and Munis मुनि ( पुरानो व वेदों में प्रमुख अन्तर यह है की ब्रह्मा जी के मुह से प्रकट होने पर भी वैदिक मंत्रों का दृष्टा ऋषियों को कहा गया है , जब की पौराणिक ज्ञान धारा को ग्रहण करने वाले मुनि कहलाये अर्थात अर्थात अर्थात वैदिक ज्ञान धारा , यज्ञा व कर्म कांडी संस्क्रित्यों का वाहन ऋषि कुल परम्परा ने किया , जब की पौराणिक ज्ञान की लौकिक व्रत , उपासना , तीरथ व अनुष्ठान संस्कृति के वाहक मुनि बने ।

) as incarnations of God, as held by many, or at least the great souls which had attained a high position in their moral, intellectual and spiritual development. This religion was not only for the training of the entire nature of man and for his intellectual, moral and spiritual growth or evolution but for guidance of him in his life as a citizen in the family, the community and the nation.

The Vedic वैदिक religion was not Hinduism although Hindus consider Vedas वेद्द as their scriptures. Of the Hindu "Trinity" Brahma ब्रह्मा the creator, Vishnu विष्णु the preserver, and Mahesh महेश (परमात्मा ) the destroyer only Vishnu's विष्णु name appears in the oldest Vedas वेद्द. The concept of Trinity dates back to 500 A.D. Around the same time, the importance of goddess began which appears in many forms of Shakti शक्ति (Shiva 's consort).

However, Upanishads उपनिषद which were written several hundreds years later have characteristic Hindu ideas of unity of soul with Brahman ब्रह्मा , karma कर्म , reincarnation, and salvation (Moksha मोक्ष - escape from reincarnation). The notion of class and caste which was absent in Vedas वेद्द starting appearing during this period. Hindus हिंदू are mainly divided into three groups

i) Shivites, who are devoted to Shiva shiv , whom they consider as their creator and preserver of the universe
ii) ii) Vaishnavas , who assign the above roles to Vishnu vishnu and
iii) iii) Shaktas , who worship Shakti .

These divisions of Hinduism are not very rigid as in other faiths and it is not strange for people of one belief to mix with others. The Hindus do not form congregations and mostly worship at home. They worship other God and Goddesses as well as these are considered as another reincarnation of main Hindu Gods. As a result, the major Gods and Goddesses are worshiped in many names and forms. Hindus have little missionary feeling because they believe that the proper way to become a Hindu is to born one. Hindu rituals cover all areas of a person's life. Hindu society has a high standard of conduct, with little immorality, crime, or violence.

The Vedas which are 4 in number. The Rig Veda, Yujarv Veda, Soma Veda and the Atharva Veda. The first three agree in their form, contents and language, though the Rig Veda is the chief, which was mostly the collection of the inspired songs of the Aryans aaryan after they settled in Northern Indian to preserve their precious treasure against the prayers or worshiping of many gods by the Dasus and natives in the Panjab region where they settled first.

The Sama Veda Yujar Veda is mostly liturgical collection for rites, rituals ceremonies and sacrifices or Yajas. In them the freshness and simplicity of the Rig Veda was replaced by coldness and artificiality. The emphasis was on sacrifice and the supremacy was on the priests who were the organisers of the rites. In this age people were more anxious about the completion of their rites and sacrifices than the perfection of their souls. They were more concerned with formal observances of rites than with the true spirit of religion, in spite of suggestions of a higher ethics and religion in the Upnishads of these Vedas. There was need for a restatement of the spiritual experience, the central meaning of which was obscured by conventional piety. There was ethical necessity and need of duty of one's gods, forefathers or ancestors as there was belief in rebirth and theory of Karma. The caste distinctions also become more rigid. Though in the beginning under the ceremonialism of the Vedic religion the families of Brahmans formed a class and the kings became Kastriya. The rest were classed as the people earning and cultivating and were called Vaisyas as they were originally occupational. The aboriginals and tribal" as Dasus who were serving the Aryans were called Sudras.

This division soon became hereditary though the system of caste was introduced to meet the social needs of the times. This social order was originally to conserve the culture of the various classes, but it in reality did not help in national advancement, as it was psychologically wrong to divide people in various classes and groups or castes. Everymen and his work are enough and any other labeling was harmful. There also was the faith in 4 division of ones' life, Brahamchariya, Grahasth, Banprasth and sanayas with 25 years devoted to each division or Ashrams. The caste distinction and Ashram dharma were more elaborated by Manu later with logical justification, but in the Vedic period there were these divisions of society and of ones own life well established.

The 4th Veda was Atharveda which was for a long time was not considered as a Veda, as a different spirit runs through this Veda. If shows a compromising attitude with the so many gods and godliness worshipped by the native and primitive people of the region which the Aryans were subduing. Vedic did not encourage or recognise sorcery and magic, which in Atharva Veda are the main theme. The Word religion itself that the Atharva Veda represents is doubtless, older than that of the Rigveda, though the collection of Atharva Veda is a later one. The religion of the Atharva is of the primitive, Dasyus, Chandals and aboriginals who believed in ghosts, demons, sprits, magic witchcraft and tantarism though in some parts of it there is a common element with Upanishads and Brahamas.

In Atharv Veda are mentioned the powers of formulas or incantations, mantras magical practices connected with marriage, initiation anointing of the King and curing of boldness and jaundice and so on abound. Shiva in Rig-Veda means auspicious but in Atharvada he is a god to be worshipped as the phallus. Rudra in the Rig-Veda is a malignant cattle destroying deity, here he is the lord of the cattle or the Pashupati. Sex also became prominent in Tantric and magical practices. The idea of Hell with its horrors and tortures was expounded. Asceticism also was eulogised and ascetics were believed to control nature by tapas or by austerities and mortification of the body. One could see people (even these days) sitting in the midst of 4 or 5 fires all round or standing on one leg or holding one arm above the head with the idea of commanding the forces of nature of subduing the gods to get things done. Such ideas could only be held by superstitious and ignorant people believing in demonology and the powers of unknown forces in their imagination away from reality and in Atharv Veda truth and reality seemed to be obscure. One may say that on the whole, the Vedic religion was dominated by prayers, worship, rituals and sacrificial fire or Yajay to propitiate the various Gods inhabiting the natural forces and resources.

The Vedic polytheism was tempered with monoism more in Upanishads as under the ritual songs there was to be the divine personality and a spiritual life was to be lived for liberation of the self or for self-realization with which consisted in being the Brahma himself which each individual or everything else was in its final reality. This spiritual life was to be lived with self control or by subduing the animal desires, with self-abnegation, renunciation or giving up egoism and being more altruistic benevolent with active charity and kindness. These characterised essentially the Hindu home life and these were particularly noticeable in the homes where joint family prevailed. In Hinduism there was not only the Quest for the ultimate as the goal of life but also for the practical guidance for the householder to live in the manner which could lead him to the realizations of this goal.

The guidance was provided for life in the family, in the community and in the nation as a whole with duties indicated for the child, father and mother, brothers and sisters, elders and for guests. Duties were also assigned to the householder in his 4 stages or ashrams of life like Brahamcharya, Grahastha, Vanprasth and Sanyas. Duties of the Kings and his subjects and for the 4 Varnas or castes as a Brahaman, Kashtriya, Vaish & Sudra for doing what was the best in the interest of the society and in his own interest. The quest for the final reality as the goal of life has been the subject of the Veda and the Upanishads as indicated briefly above and the guidelines for the citizen to play the different roles for the sake of his duties or dharma are indicated in the epic poems, the Mahabharata, Ramayana and also in the Dharamshastra - of Manu and the Gita. A brief mention of them is called for. The Mahabharata was complied by Rishi Vyas near about the 6th or 5th century B.C. according to some authorities though some thought that it occurred much earlier and concerns with the Great War between the Kauravs and Pandavas. We come across in the Mahabharata the polytheism of the Veda, the monism of the Upanishads and the dualism of Sankhyas and the deism of Yoga.

The Braham of the Upanishads becomes invested with a distinct personality and called Ishwar who was given different names as Shiva, Vishnu and Krishna for worship or Bhakti, though the impersonal absolute was still the more real of the two. In Mahabharata emphasis is on the personal god, on the Krishna or personal Vasudeva. There is also evidence of Shakti worship, as Durga was worshipped by Arjun before the battle and Durga was considered the energy drawn from Parmatmaडुरगवस्पेरसोनिफied as Uma the wife of Shiva as the function of creation preservation and destruction of all existences can not be possible without the help of this energy. Originally she was said to be the virgin goddess worshipped by the wild tribes of the Vindhayas and her name is thus borrowed from the aboriginals.

The Story of a Wallet

Once an old man was traveling by train on a pilgrimage to Brindavan . At night, whilst he was asleep, his wallet fell from his pocket. A co-passenger found it the next morning and enquired as to whom the wallet belonged. The old man said it was his. A picture of Sri Krishna inside the wallet was proof that the wallet really belonged to him.

The old man then began to relate the story of the wallet. He soon had a group of eager listeners around him. Lifting up the purse for all to see, the old man said: This purse has a long history behind it. My father gave it to me years ago when I was a mere schoolboy. I kept my little pocket money in it and also a photograph of my parents.

Years passed. I grew up and began studying at university. Like every youth, I became conscious of my appearance. I replaced my parents’ photograph with that of my own and I would look at it often. I had become my own admirer.

Then came marriage. Self-admiration gave way to the consciousness of a family. Out went my own picture and I replaced it with that of my wife’s. During the day I would open the wallet many times and gaze at the picture. All tiredness vanished and I would resume my work with enthusiasm.

Then came the birth of my first child। What a joy I experienced when I became a father! I would eagerly rush home after work to play with my little baby. Needless to say, my wife’s picture had already made way for the child’s.

The old man paused. Wiping his tearful eyes, he looked around and said in a sad voice: Friends, my parents passed away long ago. My wife too died five years ago. My son- my only son- is now married. He is too busy with his career and his family. He has no time for me. I now stand on the brink of death. I do not know what awaits me in future. Everything I loved, everything I considered my own, has left me.

A picture of Lord Krishna भगवान् कृष्ण now occupies the place in my wallet. I know He will never leave me. I wish now that I had kept HIS picture with me right from the beginning! He alone is true; all others are just passing shadows.

So, my dear….Don’t be afraid, these earthly ties are transitory. Today they seem to be the be-all and end-all of life, and tomorrow they vanish. Your real tie is with God. God is one’s very own. It is the eternal relationship. He is ever looking after you. Call on the God who pervades the entire universe. He will shower His blessings upon us.

Our wealth will remain on earth; Our cattle will remain in the stables, Our wife will come till the entrance door, Our relatives and friends will come till the cremation ground, Our body will accompany us till the funeral pyre, but on the way beyond this life only Our Karmas कर्म will accompany us.

In the Divine plan, one day each union must end with separation.
In the Mahabharata mahaabhaarat, Bhishma Bheeshm said:

Develop this attitude based on wisdom:

I am alone. There is no one who is mine; nor do I belong to anyone. Even this body does not belong to me. These objects of the world are not mine; nor do they belong to others. Or, all things belong equally to all beings. Therefore there is no need for any mind to grieve over these.

The five organs of action known as Karma Indriyas कर्म इन्द्रयाँ ,

our Vak वाक् (organ of speech), Pani पनी (hands), Padam पद्म (feet), Upastha उपस्थ (genital), and Guda गुदा (anus). They are born of the Rajasic राजसिक portion of the five tanmatras तन्मंत्र or subtle elements.

Vak वाक् (speech) from the akasha tanmatra आकाश तन्मंत्र (space),
Pani पनी (hands) from the vayu tanmatra वायु तन्मंत्र (air),
Padam पद्म (feet) from the agni tanmatra अग्नी तन्मंत्र (fire),
Upasthan उपस्थ (genital) from Aapas tanmatra आपस तन्मंत्र (water), and
Guda गुदा (anus) from the prithivi tanmatra प्रथ्वी तन्मंत्र (earth).

That man who, restraining the organs of action, sits revolving in his mind, thoughts regarding the objects of the senses is a man of sinful conduct। He is self-deluded. He is a veritable hypocrite.

The organs of action must be controlled. The thoughts should also be controlled. The mind should be firmly fixed on the God. Only then will we become a true Yogi योगी . Only then will we attain to Self-realisation.

Two Goats

Stories, parable, fables etc., have a way of forcefully driving home the message. All nations and all religions use them. Children love them. Take for example the stories from the Panchtantra पंचतंत्र where animals talk and behave like humans and there are moral lessons attached to them. One such story I narrate here.

A very narrow bridge was improvised connecting two high mountain tops. The bridge was like a narrow wooden plank slung across the two mountain tops and had neither railings nor even ropes for protection. From the bridge, looking below, long way down, ran the treacherous rapids of a mighty river meandering through giant boulders.

One day, a mountain goat came along and wanted to go across the bridge to the other side of the mountain. The goat started walking over the narrow bridge. Mountain goats are sure-footed animals and are fearless mountain climbers.

At about the same time, another goat started crossing the bridge from the other end. The two goats came face to face in the middle of the bridge. The bridge being very narrow, the two goats could not go past one another. And there was no way the goats could make about turns. There was absolutely no possibility that the goats could turn back.

The second goat spoke arrogantly to the first goat: "You are obstructing my path. Get out of my way, you silly goat! I am in a hurry to go to the other side."

The first goat replied: "I was first to step on to the bridge and therefore I have the right to cross the bridge first."

The second goat retorted angrily: "I am the strongest goat around. I have never lost a fight with other goats. Look at my great big horns and think again. Either you quickly get out of my way or else…!"

The two goats started fighting. Their horns locked and it was indeed, a strange sight to behold. High up above on a narrow bridge two goats could not come to terms with each other. They threw caution overboard and as a result there ensued a battle between two fools. Both goats lost their balance and fell to their certain deaths.

After one week, by a strange co-incidence, two other goats started crossing the bridge from the opposite ends. One goat from this end of the bridge and the other goat from the other end. And the two goats met in the middle of the bridge.

The first goat spoke most politely: "I beg your pardon sir! It was too late when I realised that you were also crossing the bridge from the other end. Anyway, I am much younger than you are. I have been taught by my parents and by my teachers that I must respect my elders and that we should be gentle and kind to all creatures.

Furthermore, I remember the advice that when confronted with any problem first offer a prayer to the God and seek His guidance. Problems and solutions always go together. Think of a bath-towel. If one end of the towel is where problems like to reside then the other end of the towel is where solutions reside. Both ends go together wherever the towel goes. Problems and solutions are inseparable. One has to merely search for the solution. I must first think about a clever solution."

The second goat said: "And what might that (solution) be?"

The first goat said: "Let me sit on this bridge with my head turned to one side so that you can slowly and carefully step over my back and cross over. I will then get up and be on my way."

Thus the two goats crossed the bridge safely.

Where Did the Universe Come From?
Was it started by… God?

Without a doubt, the biggest question in science is, “Where did it all come from?” Brilliant minds have expressed every conceivable opinion. But is there a consensus? What does the very best information from science tell us?

We explore the fascinating beginnings of the universe, and what eminent scientists like Albert Einstein and astronomer Robert Wilson have to say about it.

The Big Bang Theory –

Evidence Start of Cosmos and Human Evolution What is The Big Bang Theory! What do we mean when we talk of The Big Bang Theory? In Concept the Big Bang Theory would mean something related to the start of the Cosmos... the beginning of the Evolution itself. The Big Bang Theory came to be accepted by scientists only about three decades ago as an irrefutable fact of Creationism. Does it mean that it is only The Big Bang Theory which gave birth to the existing Cosmos? Yes! The Concept "The Big Bang Theory" explains to us how the Cosmos was created in the first stage.

The concept... The Big Bang Theory can be best understood by the spiritualists of the highest order. It is not merely a Concept or a Theory (The Big Bang Theory) which can be easily understood by the use of the senses alone (as the senses have their own limitations in the physical manifested world).

The Big Bang Theory has its origination in a domain which is much beyond the comprehension of the senses and the mind. It is for the enlightened beings to be able to understand in absolute order the concept of The Big Bang Theory.

Before we elaborate further... we need to dive deep into the realms of Spirituality. Starting from the basics we need to understand that The Big Bang Theory is deeply related to God the Almighty. For the atheist it may be almost impossible to correctly interpret and understand The Concept of The Big Bang Theory. Why?

Why does The Big Bang occur at all... in the realms of Spirituality the only existence which has any base in the whole of Cosmos is God the Almighty, the Creator himself. Nothing beyond the existence of God the Almighty exists. Whatever exists from the point of view of the senses is ephemeral in nature. Nothing has any permanent significance in the realms of Spirituality. Truthfully speaking it is God and only God which exists and manifests in the whole of Cosmos.

Why so? Understanding the Concept of the basic building block of the whole Cosmos... the Concept and Theory of atoms and molecules... we shall realize that the whole Cosmos is only built up of clusters of atoms and molecules. The total structure of the Cosmos is just a gaseous formation... in which only clusters of atoms and molecules exist. There is nothing solid in the whole of Cosmos.

It is only when perceived from the point of view of the senses and the mind that the solidification of the gaseous formation seems to exist. And beyond the realms of the senses and the mind exists... the World of God, the Almighty! Does it mean that God the Almighty is a cluster of atoms and molecules?

Assuming that only God the Almighty exists in the whole of Cosmos... then as explained in the Bhagavad Gita. The size of God in its primordial state before The Big Bang occurs in Theory is of the size of half a thumb. And what is this half the size of a thumb we call as God the Almighty?

The definition of God the Almighty as given in the Bhagavad-Gita is the sum total of all purified Souls (Atmans) existing in the whole of Cosmos at a given point of time and these purified Souls combine together to form the size of half a thumb. Imagine the vast cluster of energy this small size of God the Almighty may withhold! And unable to sustain this massive energy for long... this half the size of a thumb what we call as God the Almighty explodes. And it explodes with a Big Bang giving birth to The Big Bang Theory!
This Big Bang... the explosion which is defined by scientists as The Big Bang Theory results in the creation of the Cosmos... a Cosmos consisting of many universes and each universe consisting of many galaxies and Milky Ways... and one galaxy consisting of billions of stars and solar systems... and one star like the sun having a few planets revolving around it. And out of the many planets... Our planet Earth... the moment it has conducive environment worthy of living... the Souls manifest one after another and starts the journey of life on Earth!

The Big Bang Theory... the Concept in itself is irrefutable and undeniable for the basic reason that no other Theory or Concept holds good. The Enlightened masters like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Guru Nanak knew of this irrefutable Concept and Theory (The Big Bang Theory) the moment they became enlightened. For an Enlightened Soul to be able to understand the Concept of Spirituality from the beginning to the end of Cosmos becomes a reality.

The Big Bang Theory has its roots in the Concept that the entire purified Souls combine together to form something we know as God the Almighty. And this God the Almighty unable to contain itself for long because of the inherent massive energy within explodes with a Big Bang and this results in the start of a new Cosmos... a new journey!

Proceeding further we need to understand that these purified Souls (Atmans) which have now scattered all over the Cosmos start gaining impurities on their cosmic journey. And it is only after the dross within is removed from the Souls that they shall become free forever from manifesting further bodies.

As the whole Cosmos cools down gradually... the system gives birth too many planets and out of these planets some of them become conducive for beginning of life with passage of time. And what is this life we are talking of? Are we talking of the insect life, the plant life, the animal life or the world of human beings themselves?

Every Soul (Atman) like the metal embedded in any metal ore cannot separate itself from the impurities contained therein. And to cleanse itself of the impurities... every Soul (Atman) requires a body. And thus starts the cosmic journey of a Soul (an Atman)!

The journey of this Soul (Atman) starts as an amoeba (single cell formation)... The first manifestation in the cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations... ending with the form of a human being (the last stage in the series of various manifestations) finally to gain Salvation and come back to its original pristine form. The moment cosmic journey of all Jiva (life forms) end with the Dissolution of the Cosmos... starts a new Cosmos confirming The Big Bang Theory.

The journey from first manifestation to the 8.4 millionth manifestation explains the Concept of Evolution as detailed by Charles Darwin. A long cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations and a total period of 96.4 million earthly years is necessitated before the Soul can come back to its original pristine form and it is in the last stages as a human being that the Soul shall gain Salvation... liberation from the cycle of various manifestations for ever and finally become free until the start of a new Cosmos with a new Big Bang (The Big Bang Theory).

We need to understand here that once having come back to its original pristine pure form... this purified Soul remains in its purified state until the collapse of the Cosmos occurs. It is at the time of the collapse (Dissolution) of the Cosmos (Pralaya as we call it in Hinduism) that all purified Souls combine together again resulting in The Big Bang (confirming again the existence of The Big Bang Theory).

End of the World

Predictions Prophecies how and when. It's the End of the World as we know it... When did you think the world population would annihilate itself... i.e. bring about the End of the World... 2020! Yes... 2020 would announce the End of the World as it is today.

Imagine as of now... a world without computers and mobiles... what shall be the shape of the world to come... would it not mean the end of the world! End of the world is not merely a saying; its implications would vary from place to place and country to country. Nostradamus predicted the End of the World in 1994, 1998 and also 2020. Why?

If the End of the World did not occur in 1998, it was merely because the entire population of the world sensing the impending danger of the world war engrossed itself in massive prayers... this led to the delaying of the End of the World as it is today!
Every passing day brings us nearer to End of the World. Why?

Even a layman can understand the catastrophe human beings are landing themselves in because of the breaking down of the family and the moral values in daily life. Literally the human beings as of today find indulgence in materialistic tendencies as humorous and entertaining. Everyday we read the brutal murder of young boys and girls. Interference of so called, Khaaf Mahapanchayat’s inhuman decision. Killing encountering of innocent people

The happenings in Iraq and Afghanistan are a testimony to this absolute truth. The end of the world shall accompany with itself a fight to the finish between Christianity and Islam.

End of the World is imminent for the trust between various countries, religions and castes is coming to an end. The faith lost shall only lead us towards the End of the World. There is no escape for the upheaval of the society is not possible without a looming World War Three. Every revolution... every sacrifice carries with it the seed of the oncoming golden era. As of today when the manifest science is at its peak... in a short while from now and around 2020 we shall witness the End of the World... the most ghastly event that the humanity as of today shall face.

Who shall survive this End of the World phenomenon? Everyone... nay every human being for that matter who has a positive balance of Karma shall survive. One may witness a missile exploding at a short distance... the gods will shall save us from experiencing the rigors of the holocaust. Everyone with Punya Karma (positive balance of Karma) in balance shall experience a win-win situation.

End of the World Prediction by Nostradamus and others astrologers is purely based upon the balance of Karma of the total mankind at any given point of time. When the End of the World shall be can be assessed with fair accuracy as of now.

The End of the World does not mean a doom for the mankind... it shall only be a revival of the cherished golden values in the society. After the End of the World occurrence... the society shall again start from the basics... with no science to support initially... the mankind shall as stated by Einstein begin life as man had experienced it during the Stone Age.

The balance of Karma of the total humanity as of today indicates the looming danger around 2020. Every Era (Yuga) indicates the arrival of a Sanatana Purusha (manifest god himself)... one who is much above the level of man gods like Mahavira, Buddha, guru Nanak, Jesus Christ, Kabir and Prophet Mohammed.

This true son of god... imbibed with godly powers shall be able to scale the barriers that separates the societies and the countries all over the globe. He shall completely overall the existing social and moral values of the society which result in the End of the World predictions.

One who shall uplift the values of the society back to their pedestal and bring back the society from the rigors of End of the World and usher it into a new era... One who delivers the mankind from the presently existing ills...? Sri Kalki Bhagavan... who shall he is?

Nostradamus has predicted one with a blue turban shall rule the world after the End of the World. Many all over the world who try to interpret this particular quatrain of Nostradamus do it wrongly. Quatrains by Nostradamus are not to be literally interpreted. One has to search for the hidden inner values in each and every quatrain.

Nostradamus in his quatrain by the blue turbaned one... simply meant that the advent of the true son of God shall be from a land which is of the shape of a blue turban... a piece of land surrounded by water on two sides... like in a turban. The peninsular shape of India which is surrounded by seas and oceans on two sides confirms this.

The blue turbaned one shall be from India... the country which produced Sri Krishna, Mahavira, Buddha, Guru Nanak, Kabir, Jesus Christ and also Prophet Mohammed. India has since times immemorial been considered the place of worship and wisdom. And India shall pay a significant role in the End of the World saga.

Those who practice compassion and forgiveness in the face of the most extreme adversities are the true spiritual torch bearers of the society. The values practiced in India have no parallel in mankind. You hit on the one face and the other turns over... such was the compassion and forgiveness practiced by Mahatma Gandhi!

End of the World is very near. As of today none wants to face the disastrous End of the World! Yet, we do not have a remedy! Why not all of us brace ourselves for the most tragic happening of the era... the End of the World!
