Brain


BRAIN -Sitting on top of the spinal cord, not all that unlike the ball on top of flagpole, the grayish- pink brain – a mucky mass of neurons, ridges and grooves- makeup man’s control center, his most important coping tool.

The human brain is still the most mysterious, magnificent and marvelous organ in the body and most complex thing on earth. The three-pound (1.36 Kg.) globe of intertwining cells and neurons is about the only major organ that has still baffled scientists and researchers.

The home of the mind, the soul, the home of life itself refuses to unravel its magical mystique except to the most dogged explorer and even then, like the universe, not enough can be ever known about this little lump of cells that makes mankind human. It is wonder of the world an electrochemical; metaphysical entity so elaborate and sophisticated that the most difficult task it can undertake is to understand itself. A goal it pursues with the distinct feeling that it may well be beyond its own comprehension. From the every day miracles of sight and movement speech and memory, to the dazzling glories of reason, emotion and creativity. The functions of the human brain establish it as the dominant organ in existence. Without it, the human body is just an over designed eating machine.

For starters, consider this every human brain consists of about 10 billion nerve cells, which are so densely packed that they almost resemble a solid wall. Every day our brain records more than 86 million bits of information, which even the fastest computer cannot reveal. Every brain can conveniently hold up to 100 trillion (12 Zeros) bits of information for a lifetime. If brain’s metabolism were converted into energy, it could power a 20 watts bulb. Each second about 100,000 different chemical reactions occur in the brain. It takes one five hundredth of a second for the brain recognized an object after light from the object first enter the eyes. Every attempt at exploring the mysteries that is more baffling. And the brain is the only organ known whose power increases, the more it is used conversely, it’s power dull from Non-use.

It is an enigma, all right. And armies of scientists now working across the globe are trying to crack it. It is tough, and the result surprises even the most dogged expert. Let us take a peep into the throne of the intellect and what scientists are doing to just understand it.

To start with let us skip the parts of the brain and thus avoid its jargon. Let the Scientists worry about that. We shall instead explore its wonders, limits frontiers, mysteries and magic, which are more interesting and readable.

The core of the brain’s magic is done by a microscopic, seemingly simple chemical-containing entity called the "Neuron.” These are tiny cells with a central core from which long tail and “dendrites” emerge. There are up to 100 billion of such neurons that inter links with each other. The cross-connections average one quadrillion (15 Zeros), which even the most advanced super computer by 2025 AD, will not match. Says brain scientist Dr. William shoemaker of the Salk Institute in California. “The average neuron is as complex as an entire small computer.”

It is so complex and yet seems so simple that hordes of scientists are specializing in just neuron research alone. Neurons finally emerge to form “Nerve” that crisscrosses our body, giving us sensation, pain, pleasure etc. Neuron work on a combination of electricity and chemistry. When a message reaches them from a nerve ending, they fire a chemical called "Neurotransmitter.” This travels across a gap, called “Synapse” to receptors on the next cell, which respect the process till a million neurons have been activated. It takes to neurotransmitters that carry bits of information between each other, to remember 200 to think bard on something and 400 to feel continuous pain.

The brain is divided into two halves. The right side, which controls, all the body’s intelligence- music, art, intuition ESP etc. The left side of the brain (which controls the body’s right side affairs) is supposedly the seat of logic, mathematics, motor, functions, learned skills abilities, etc. In the US some Scientists are making money teaching how one can use both sides of the brain to maximum advantages.

After all the myth is we use only 10 % of our brain capabilities even if doubled it, we would all be geniuses, and what if we quadrupled it? But why is it a myth? Because there is no proof yet on what percentage of the brain’s capacity is used, how it can be increased why only some percentage of the brain’s capacity is used and how it can be increased? Why only some percentage is used? And so on.

But some empirical evidence does exist to show that the brain allows for excess capacity. One, every day we lose about 10,000 neurons through ware and tear. Yet much of memory is never lost and long-term memory, rarely ever. Soon before the neurons die, they transfer their information database to other neurons, or to special cells that just store information.

And to the brain has remarkable powers to heal it. In minor brain strokes, new neuron connections are formed that had been lost. In amnesia (loss of memory) cases, scientists are just finding out that memory is not lost, only clouded. And in aggressive hypnotism, patients have been able to remember the smallest and most insignificant details of their earlier wonder, how the brain can store so much data so long.

But the billion-dollar question that should interest all of us is,

·         What makes an intelligent mind?
·         Why Shakuntla Devi’s brain unlike ours?
·         What made Einstein do what billions of human can never do-think
      In super abstract terms?
·         How come a three old Mozart can remember and play full works
·         By just looking at the compositions once?
·         Can genius be produced?

Shankutla Devi is almost a freak of nature, like Einstein, or Picasso. But what if all humans could engineer their brains to levels that naturally persist in the brain of people like Shankuntla Devi? If it is feasible?

Einstein was a below average student in his school days. Later he became great physicist who proved mathematically that the velocity of light was the only constant factor in the Universe. When he was asked by Jamna Lal Bajaj’s son-in Law R Narayan the secret of his success, Einstein showed his meditation room where he practiced Patanjali’s system of Yoga and meditation and followed celibacy for four years. Einstein reached across the ages to the Rishis who declared there is no reality- only Maya exist. The Laws of gravitation and electricity have been discovered by what they actually are, no one knows. Scientists are now admitting that atomic energy is just mind stuff. Our Shastras had proclaimed this long back- that the physical world operates under one fundamental law of Maya- the principle cause and effect, action and reaction. To surmount Maya and uncover the secret of creation was the task assigned to the human race? Any amount of intellectual analysis cannot penetrate through this Maya because Maya is ignorance. The fabric of creation is Maya. A saint looks beyond Maya and merges his consciousness with the supreme soul.

Adolf Hitler thought so and asked Aryans to selectively produce the best humans. But scientists think so too, Professor Jean Rostand writes, “There is no prior reason why we should not succeed in simulating the working of the brain, just as we do with other, less exalted vital parts.” Some drugs exist which dispel tiredness; increases concentration and lead to increased memory ability. Thus by addition tiny amounts of these drugs with nutritional diets, can the brain be made to function better?

Cajole couldn’t have been more correct. The brain is still the single biggest mystery facing us today. With 100 billion neuron that forms one quadrillion (one followed by 15 zeroes) interconnections. It is a marvel of engineering that man cannot duplicate or fully understand at least for next 50 years.

The latest theory in psycho-neurology is this. The brain is divided into two halves, the left side, and the right side each connected with some form of intelligence. Almost 80% human use the left side, which is not the seat of “real” intelligence, so now tap your right side.

Is it as easy as it is sounds? No, but a slew of books on how to make it happen, and a clutch of “experts” teaching you how to do it with maximum results have just formed a mini-industry. The biggest buyer is big business and the biggest market is of course the U.S. The takers are the top slot Companies.

The potential? Hundreds of millions of dollars now billions if science offers some “Proof” that such activity is “scientific.”  

Let us look at the basics. The two halves of the brain are joined together by a cluster of fibers and neurons called the Corpus Callous. The right side of the brain controls almost all the functions of the left side of the body. The left side of the brain controls on right side functions.

The left side is more verbal more logical, Mathematical, organized, meticulous and deduction. That’s why most humans are more agile doing tasks with their right hands, even writing with it (according to researchers, the speech of 95 % of right hander’s and 70 % of the left hander’s is controlled by the left side.)

On the other hand, the right side of the brain is the silent partner, the sublime one, where intuition takes place; thinking is done graphically (verbally in the left) the seat of random access memory (logical memory in the left). The muted side that, thinks inductionally. (Deduction logic is when a=b and b=c than a=c. Induction is when a=b, then a could be equal to c, even when the relation of A and C is not specified.)

According to Discover Magazine. The first string of research into the right side came by accident in 1960 at the California Institution Technology. Nobel Prize psychologist Dr. Roger Sperry and his team were studying patients whom have undergone highly experimental brain surgery for epilepsy. Surgeons had out the Corpus Callous, an arching bundle of nerve fibers that connects the left and the right halves of the cerebrum the largest and most sophisticated part of the brain. The results astonished, Dr. Sperry wrote, “Each disconnection hemisphere appears to have a mind of its own.         

Further research lead to another finding are, most people show their brain sides. “Either they’re logical, verbal and analytical. Left brain types who became Lawyers, Accountants, Supervisors or Engineers or else they are the right brain’s that rely for guidance on leaps of institution and gut feeling, the poet’s dreamers, sales-man and entrepreneurs.

Hormones

Hormones are chemical substances that are manufactured by our endocrine glands, which means “Secreting directly into”? Since they secrete hormones directly into the blood stream. As the heart pumps the blood through the body, the hormones speed to various destinations, where they accomplish their work. 

In order for the hormones to perform their functions. Good communication is needed among our body parts. All of us have complex communications systems that transmit information to keep us alive and operating smoothly. The ENDOCRINE system and NERVOUS system. The body sends its messages by means of nervous system, a high-speed communications network that was electrochemical signals.   

In the body, chemical messengers (Hormones) travel through the bloodstream or other body fluids. These hormones travel to muscles, organs, or glands far from their point of origin. Once they reach their destination, they set in motion a series of complex chemical reactions to accomplish their purpose. But how is all this activity directed and co-ordinate. Let us look at Master Gland.

(Self Experienced).

It was 26th January 1990; at 10 O’clock in the morning, when I met with an accident, with a Nissan Truck, while driving Scooter on the by lane road in Delhi. (But did not get any fracture, not even a small bone, no cut, no bleeding, and I was underneath the truck. Only the muscles were tearing off). I was on bed till 25th February, 26th February I got up from Bed, 26th March I joined my Office, but was walking with the help of a stick, left stick on 26th April.

How this happens? We are crossing a street “Lookout” somebody yells. We turn our head and see that a truck has run a red light and is thundering towards us at high speed.

Our body instantly equips us for emergency action. Our brain flashes an urgent message to our (ADRENAL GLANDS) which respond by pouring ADRENALINE and NORADREALINE into our blood stream. These hormones shut down the blood supply to parts of body whose services are not immediately needed for escape, and they rush it to reinforce our brain, heart, and muscles.

ADRENALINE and NORADRENALINE force our heart to beat hard and fast. They widen, the airways of our lungs, our breathing quickens. They boost our blood sugar to supply maximum energy. In a twinkling hormones have helped us equip to perform feats of strength and endurance for beyond our normal ability.

The truck roars nearer the ground shakes. There is not a second to spare. We make a mighty leap to the safety of the sidewalk. We gasp for breath, our heart pounds our stomach churns our hand tremble- but we are alive.

In such situations hormones help us to save lives. But they do far more than that. They help us grow and develop into healthy men and women. They make possible our sexuality and reproduction. If we are cold or hot or hungry or thirsty or bleeding or sick, they assist us. And they are on the job 24 hours a day.

But how is all this work organized in our bodies? To help us understand that, let us consider what hormones are and how they function:

Now take the case of Laughter-Laughter increases the levels of endorphins in our bodies, which are natural pain-killers. Norman Cousins, an American journalist who wrote “Anatomy of an Illness” was suffering from an incurable disease of the spine. Laughter therapy helped him when no pain-killer could. Endorphins released as a result of laughter may help in reducing the intensity of pain in those suffering from arthritis, spondylitis and muscular spasms of the body. Many women have also recovered from what is usually a fatal disease.

He who laughs frequently is less likely to suffer from heart attacks. “A lighter answer turneth away wrath,” says a proverb. An anger hijack can be spotted by a joke. Laughter is certainly the best medicine.

You can be happy by taking regular laughter breaks. There are a number of causes for high blood pressure and heart disease like heredity, obesity, smoking and excessive helps control blood pressure by reducing the release of stress-related hormones and bringing relaxation.

WHY DO people go to a temple?


The answer is obvious: to find peace, to sit and meditate and to feel energy of those who have meditated there earlier. Also because We draw Energy from Positive and Negative Forces. ‘We draw energy from the wind or air and sunlight. We draw energy from water, earth (things grown on the earth). We also draw energy from the divine forces of the universe, which pour into us through the chakras.

The sun Light is present all over the earth atmosphere, but when we use the Double convex lens the light is concentrated and the intensity of the heat is so much it will have a burning effect.

The sun pours heat, light and vitality, which greatly improves health and wellbeing. That is why people feel depressed during the winter especially in the far north, like Scandinavian countries and the Arctic

A place can have a positive or negative field. You can feel it when you enter a temple, Gurudwara, Masjid or church where regular services are performed. That is why people go to places of pilgrimage like Tirupathi, Vaishno Devi, Badrinath, Amarnath. The feeling of prayerful sacredness envelopes all those who go to that space.

During a disaster, a cloud of fear is created. Anyone who enters that space is filled with fear, even if he is normally brave. The infectious nature of all emotions is similar. Hatred speaks from mind to mind, till the cloud of hatred draws to it all the people in that space even when the person is usually rational.

But today, most of the traditional temples have become centers of trade and politics. Regular prayers may be offered here, but these prayers are formal and out of a fear of God. There’s no innocence in these prayers. In such an atmosphere polluted with materialism and politics, meditation is not possible. If we are really interested in meditation and prayer, we need to look for a different kind of temple and one that is not man-made.

The good news is that such unpolluted temple of love still exists. You will find them in nature. Go and sit under a tree, breathe and meditate and you will be filled with love and prayer. The tree always gives life-energy. it will  never ask you about your religion or caste. You can hug a tree and you will feel its heartbeat. And at the same time. You will also feel your own heartbeat.

But when you hug fellow human beings because nobody nowadays hugs anyone unconditionally. The tree is a temple of love, as it always gives. Go to mountains or the sea and sit in the open space. While you listen to the sound of mountain streams, you will automatically start meditating. Mountains need a certain kind of an atmosphere, a space for the soul, where it can fly high in the Sky. And that’s possible only in nature. 

Knowledge is divided between phenomenology, science of the changeable and ontology, science of the unchangeable, ontology is the realm of beings and phenomenology that of becoming. To explain it to the laity, Christianity uses the word ‘father’ for ontology and ‘son’ for phenomenology. The Holy Spirit is individualised consciousness that mediates the two.

Phenomenology is the mixing and constant flux of the five elements: solid, liquid, gas, space and heat. The five elements are interdependent and are created from one another. For anything to be solid, it must have been liquid previously. For anything to be liquid, heat is required, for eons, the sun has Caused the earth to relive in a manner that H20 remains in liquid form in a narrow temperature range of zero to a hundred degrees. This is a feat of wondrous exactitude as temperatures in the cosmos range from negative to positive infinity. In order to have heat, some combustive gas is required. All this interplay occurs in space, which is the mother element. Matter occupies infinitely less then one zillionth of cosmic space, where the leela of phenomenology takes place.

Science limits itself to this zillionth of cosmic space occupied by matter. Hence, it has been said that science is an incomplete philosophy, but philosophy is complete science oncologists posit that we are pure spirit, trying to learn how to be human.  At birth, we are pure; pure consciousness. The difficulty lies not in being pure consciousness, but in being human. Completely alien to our being, we are constantly trying to master manmade functions ranging from table mannerd to law, family governance to human love. It’s a comedown; a ‘thud’ keeps us in febrile fever. Ontology is the science of the unchangeable, undivided, pure consciousness. Knowledge of pure consciousness makes us realise that the entire universe is nothing but consciousness. I Am That. I am the entire universe, and the functioning of the universe is my responsibility. The brain is incapable of grasping the essence of ontology – It can only categories, divide and choose, assuming separateness, that there are two to choose from. The higher the IQ, the more divisive the brain, since pure consciousness is one, the brain. Since pure consciousness is one, the brain cannot grasp it in a thousand lifetimes.

To know your being or virginal ontological being or virginal ontological state is to resolve, ‘I am a pure virgin’. A virgin is one who is untouched by man. Hence, no thought emanating from any man can touch you. No political, economic or scientific theism penetrates your pure state. The very concept of a universe is a creation of man; even the creator is a creation of man. If the universe and god do exist, they are a part of your pure consciousness. Once stabilsed in your virgin state, everything that emanates from you is pure. Thus, Christ emanates from the Virgin Mary. This is no mere historical phenomenon; it is happening moment to moment, even as you grasp this, as only your virgin purity can. If only Christ had said. “You are the Son of God”, instead of seeing purity only in himself…

What the world calls knowledge, ontologists define as ignorance. Armed with this ignorance, they can be billionaires, presidents or physicists. Even as they watch, their wealth will be surpassed, nations subjugated, scientific ideas bombed. They are at the feet of the masters of ontology, the masters of truth. Newton defined truth as ‘that which is invariant in all frames of reference ‘. All frames of reference lean on the inventive constructs of time and space. Ontologists would simply say that they are changeable an hence are untruths – even by Newton’s definition. Know the truth will set you free. The phenomenological world will be at your beck and call. Pity, you’ll have no use for it, having sublimated it…

The Real possessions that bind us are our memories, our inner possessions. Memory is an attachment, a holding on to an experience, an accumulation in which energy is trapped. Memory is a form of matter, a substance in the mind. It is the residue of an experience that has left a mark within us. The degree of our attachment to the past is the degree of our materialism. Our memories form the landscape of the world of illusion and sorrow, samsara, in which we are caught this world of memory is revealed during dream and fantasy. It underlies our waking consciousness and distorts our perception. Hence our fall into dream or fantasy is a fall into the inertia of our own minds. The more we are attached to the past, the heavier is the weight of our ignorance.

We can easily measure our spiritual ignorance in life: it is equal to the density of our thoughts, our habitual stream of memory based considerations. Similarly, the knowledge that we cline to through thought obstructs us from seeing the truth. We are not bound to the external world or to the matter outside us. It is the world inside us, the matter within our own minds that binds us. Only when we take the world inside ourselves through thought does it cause anxiety. If we let the world be, it takes care of itself in the natural harmony and freedom of existence.

Consciousness is immaterial and thought is mater. To fall into thought is to introduce a foreign substance (matter) into our unbounded consciousness and to weight it down. Our thoughts are our matter, through which we fall into the material world. To acquire things mentally through name, recognition and identification is to add to the ignorance within us. The mind emptied itself naturally – consciousness itself is emptiness, immateriality and boundless space-when we do not fill it with cares and anxieties.

The realisation that thought is a burden is the end of thought. All worry and care is useless weight that separates us from the beneficence of existence, drawing upon us the very disharmonies that we wish to avoid. When we release the burden of thought through the perception of its foreign nature, we transcend the entire world.

Is our life worth living? Are we really living or pretend to be living? Are we really conscious of what we are doing? Unfortunately, the way we live is nothing but just a mechanical process. We have become a robot no intelligence, no thought, no awareness, no awakening. Every moment we are living unconsciousness, which mars our happiness. But why are we doing this?

Why most people are Right-handed:-


A simple experiment draws several straight lines at random on a sheet of paper. Without the help of any measuring scale, by eye estimation only put dots where you think, the midpoint of the lines are. Now take the scale and measure out the two halves. If you are right handed you will be surprised to find that in most cases you have placed the dots fractionally to the left of the true center. You have underestimated the length of the left half. Your brain seems to have a bias towards the right.

It is seen that almost all creatures on land, sea, or air are laterally symmetrical from the outside. One side seems to be the mirror image of the other. The same is true for man. Two pairs of identical limbs are attached to either side of the body. A pair of eyes and ears are equidistant from the nose which itself is situated in the mid-line of the face.

However on close observation it is found that there is a marked asymmetry on the outside of the human body and there is no point to point correspondence between the two sides. One eyebrow may be slightly higher than the other. One ear may be at a slightly lower level, one eye may be imperceptibly smaller than the other, and it is a well-known fact that the nasal septum, which is the dividing, line between the two nostrils, is bent either towards the right or towards the left. It is never at the true center. This means an unequal amount of air is passed through the nostrils. There is a distinct difference in the power of the two eyes. The same is true for the ears. We hear well with one of them than the other.

But the most marked asymmetry occurs in muscular power and dexterity of the hands and legs. More than 90 % of people are right handed and do most of the daily work, such as eating, writing, and picking up things or exerting force with their right hand. Only in some special cases is the left hand used and that too, in a subordinate roles. Similarly while playing football most people kick with their right legs are stronger, why this preference for right-handedness? Going by statically chance, there should be an equal number of right and left handed persons why is this not so?

Animals seldom show preference in the use of either paws or claws. The only exception is in the case of some species of parrots that use the same clawing every time for feeding. It is only in the case of human that we find more than 90 % of individuals to be right handed.                    

There are different opinions about our right-handedness. One opinion attributes this to heredity factors as the traits are transmitted to the genes from parents to children. One argument against this theory is that right-handed children may have left-handed parents and vice-versa.

The other theory supports environmental factors. A newborn baby does not show hard preference and can use both hands with same dexterity, during the first few weeks of its life. When the child is old enough to grasp objects, parents in most cases push toys and other objects nearer to its right hand, thus encouraging it to grasp with the right hands. In this way the child may develop right-handedness unconsciously during infancy. As the child grows-up, the right side of the body grows stronger due to greater use.

ILL-Effects Of Anger


Just as heat melts lead, just as heat and borax melt gold, even so, Kama and Krodha, the heating factors of the mind, melt it. When you are angry, the mind becomes disturbed. Similarly, when the mind is disturbed, the body also becomes disturbed. The whole nervous system is agitated. You become enervated.

Anger spoils the brain, nervous system and blood. When a wave of anger arises in the mind, Prana begins to vibrate rapidly. You are agitated and excited. Blood becomes hot. Many poisonous ingredients are formed in the blood. When the blood is agitated, the semen also is affected.

Once a child sucked the breast of his mother when she was in a fit of violent fury or rage and died immediately on account of poisoning by virulent chemical products that were thrown into the blood of the mother when she was in great excitement. Many such cases have been recorded. Such are the disastrous effects of anger. Even three minutes of violent hot temper may produce such deleterious effects in the nervous system that it will take weeks or months for the repair of injury.

A man, who is a slave to anger, may have washed himself well, anointed himself well, dressed his hair and put on white garments; yet he is ugly, being overcome by anger. There are symptoms on the face to indicate the presence of anger in the mind. If you get anger, you will lose the battle of life. If you have an easily irritable mind, you will not be able to do your daily duties and business in an efficient manner.

How to Control Anger

There are three ways of destroying the anger and lust Vrittis (1) you can drive them through will-force. This is, no doubt, difficult and taxing. It exhausts your energy much. (2) Pratipaksha-Bhavana method: Entertain counter-thoughts- thoughts of purity and love. This is easy. (3) Live in Truth or Brahman. There are no Vrittis of any kind in Brahman. Brahman is Nirvikara, Nirvikalpa and Nitya Suddha (ever pure). This method is a perfect and powerful one. Vrittis completely die away.

Conquer passion. It will then be easy to subdue anger, which is only one of its followers.

Control anger by love. Anger is a powerful energy that is uncontrollable by practical Vyavaharic Buddhi, but controllable by pure reason (Sattvic Buddhi) or Viveka-Vichara.

When you become angry with your servant when he fails to supply your usual milk on a day, raise a question within yourself: "Why should I be a slave to milk?" Then the wave of anger will at once naturally subside. It will not arise on other occasions also, if you are careful and thoughtful.

Control anger by Kshama (forgiveness), Daya, patience, tolerance, universal love (Visva-Prema), mildness, Viveka, Vichara, Atma-Bhava, Udasinata, Nirabhimanata and such other virtues. Forgive and pity the man who does you harm. Consider censure as a blessing, ornament and nectar. Bear reproach. Develop universal love by service, charity, Brahma-Bhava. Recall any calm and pure state, which when once brought to mind, suppresses the hatred and brings composure. When anger is subdued, rudeness, pride and envy will vanish of themselves. Prayer and devotion will root out anger.

Practise Pratipaksha-Bhavana (entertaining a counter-idea). When you get angry, fill the mind with the idea of love. If you are depressed, fill the mind with the idea of joy and exhilaration.

When you become intensely angry, leave the place immediately for half an hour. Take a long walk. Repeat the sacred Mantra, "OM SANTIH," 108 times. Your anger will subside. I shall tell you another easy way. When you get angry, count from one to thirty. The anger will subside.

When anger tries to exhibit itself, observe silence. Keep quiet. Never utter a harsh word or obscene speech. Try to nip it before it emerges out from the subconscious mind. You will have to be very alert. It tries to come out suddenly. Before anger manifests, there is an agitation (Udvega) in the mind. You must try to extirpate this very agitation in the mind before it assumes a very gross form in the shape of twitching of muscles of the face, clenching of teeth, red eyes, etc. You will have to punish the mind well. You will have to impose self-restraint and punishment on yourself by way of fasting for a day whenever Udvega (agitation) manifests in the mind.

If you strive and make sincere effort to subdue your anger, the hatred subsides. Even then, a slight movement of impatience lingers although the angry feeling has gone. You must eschew this slight disturbance also. For a man who is leading a divine life, this is a very serious drawback.

Irritability is a weakness of the mind. If you are easily irritable, it is likely that you may do injustice to many. Remove this by the practice of patience, Titiksha, tolerance, Karuna (mercy), love, Brahma-Bhava, Narayana-Bhava, etc.

Calmness of mind is a direct means to the realisation of Brahman (or the Highest Self).

Verily a certain man in his behavior is calm. His calmness is noticed by everyone as he discharges his duties, large and small, beautifully well. Another man is calm in his behavior, in speech, which is noticed by everyone. For, by nature, he is friendly, sweet in speech, congenial, of a frank countenance, ready at greetings. You should be calm in all the three states. Towards such a one, the development of love is not difficult.

You must have the knack to keep the mind always in balance and in tune. Close your eyes. Dive deep into the Divine Source. Feel His Presence. Remember Him always. Practice His Name. Repeat His Name even while at work. You will gain immense spiritual strength. Meditate early in the morning before you mix with people. You must rise above the thousand and one things which would irritate you easily in the course of your daily life. Then only you can turn out wonderful work daily with harmony and concord.

We all have some pre set funda of judging human, whether it is right or wrong we never know, but as long as we are comfortable we go.

I believe every individual has different philosophy of life that totally depends on following things, in fact it is he/she who made for him/her to live in his/her own way, and there cannot be any set parameters for them to think, and to follow.

We are different from each other  genetically, have  difference in up bring, language, culture, our experiences, our desires, our dreams, our capabilities, our limitations, our perception to see things/situations/people and react on;   there are other so many factors which set different criteria of life and different standards for everyone. Even two twins are not identical by thoughts because their experiences are different; their desires are different which in turn open up new ways of diversifications.  And every one has the right to set his own philosophy of life and live accordingly, there is no right or wrong, as I know myself better than anybody else (I assume).

Certain life aspects are common to all, which open up ways of philosophies for philosophers, but we forget, mind set has important role to perceive the things and draw the conclusion, and it varies between individuals in same environment.

We do try to judge people on their traits, the way they define themselves, it reflects their philosophy and maturity to handle situations. Some time we don’t judge properly as a human tendency/error, and we do judgment to decide to carry forward relationship with that individual.

Look if you/we expect that we’ll choose our partner/friends whom we know very much in deep than we are wrong. No one can know any person with so deep; in fact we don’t know ourselves so deep though we claim for same. Then how we can expect these deep understanding from others. Human are not like gadget or mathematical terms which have one rational/standard way to do, we/you never know how we will react to certain situation and will be it same in manner all the time. This process of understanding one individual or evaluating him/her will take too much time, and still we will not be sure about conclusion. Life is itself a big gamble and big surprise, we don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow though we plan, anticipate, set precaution, but still cannot know the depth of life. Still we enjoy the surprises of life, and we do learn to adopt /adapt new things and changed with time. It’s our hope and our dreams which make us keep going.

In the journey of life we come across very diverse people, with some we don’t feel comfortable to live and so we separate, but observe this: are our family members are genuine all the time. They do hurt us. But it doesn’t mean that we will leave them and forget them, no not at all, it’s our love, which keep us with them emotionally, to be with them and they are with us, but from where that love comes, maybe we happen to be with them, it is our silent commitment, that we will be together or to be stand by each other whenever we need each other, and that gives the understanding to get adjust to compromise to one or on another factor, even comes sacrifice which we do by wish not by forceful, Because its life. It has lots of hidden things which we still need to explore, human mind and relations has something beyond logic, reasons.

Now question is that, why we do all judgment about humane around us, as such we don’t do for our family members, we accept them as they are, then why we set standards for others. Somehow every individual is bit selfish from inner deep and we don’t realize this. We like some humans because they are/do what we visualize. We want to see our image within them. The moment we will realize we will stop calculating a human.
