WELL WORTH READING, NOT
COST ANYTHING
A
woman dressed in a simple way and with a face suffered, entered a store.
Approached the owner and asked if she could take a few embarrassed products and
pay later. With a soft voice, she explained that her husband was very sick and
couldn't work; they had seven children and needed food.
The
store owner, inflexible, asked the woman to leave. However, the woman thinking
of his family continued pleading: "Please Sir, I pay as soon as
possible". The shop owner denied saying it couldn't give credit to a
person he didn't know.
Near
the entrance of the store was a customer who heard the conversation. The client
approached and told the owner that he would hold for purchases of the woman,
but he ignored it.
The
store owner turned to his wife and asked: "do you have a shopping
list?" she replied "Yes, Sir".
"OK,
put your list on the scales and how to weigh your list, I'll give in
foods," he said.
She
hesitated for a moment and head down, got in his wallet a piece of paper and
wrote about him. Then, with fear, the woman put the paper in the balance. By
doing this the balance down at once, as if you had placed a stone on her. The
store owner and the customer looked with amazement and admiration. The store
owner started putting food on the other side of the scale, but she won't budge,
so he continued to put more and more food, but as the scale never equaled, he
couldn't take it and took the piece of paper to see if there was some kind of
trick.
The
store owner looked at the paper and read with astonishment ... was not a
shopping list, was a prayer that read: "Dear God, you know my needs, I
leave this in your hands".
The
store owner gave the woman all foods that were on the scale and was silent as
the woman left the store.
