OH My God (OMG)

I was watching The Hindi film with an English title, OMG – Oh My God on TV today.

I think film has delivered the message. And now it’s upon the mango (common) man to understand and act on the truth exposed in the films. Most of those religious preachers, spiritual gurus and Khaps type people are green eyed monsters, who want truth to be concealed so that they can exploit the mango man. The director wanted to convey a simple message that the religious saints, spiritual gurus fool and loot people in the name of God, puja's, discourses and misguide them, which I find cent percent true. We need to accept this truth. It’s but natural that religious patriots will find fault in this film.

Truth has been convoluted by the so called spiritual gurus or saints to further their personal benefits and the Religion has served the interests of many such Social fakes. The mango people of India have blindly followed rituals and myths in the garb of fostering society. The Khaps and panchayats have done more disservice to Society by projecting Religion over Life.

I think a lot of people are indeed misguided by so-called Guru's or Saints who convince people to worship them and pay them a lot of money. (I must add that there are of course some religious 'teachers' who indeed strive to enhance the wisdom of people, without fooling their seekers!). Another message is that one should refrain from buying tons of 'religious' things, hoping that it will help them. In my opinion this movie is trying to shift the religious focus from

Unfortunately, there is no universally accepted definition, concept or perception of God. Every single human individual has his / her own views about God. Every institutionalized religion has the same confusing view about the nature and substance of God. They can't think of a religious man without believing in God! An atheist could be following righteous conduct which is good for himself / herself and the society and humanity at large. Giving importance to religious labels itself is a irreligious practice. They are forgetting the basis of religion that was founded on the codification of righteous living for the mankind. The enlightened modernity demands that we must shun the 'labels' and evolve and adhere to basic codes of righteous living.
