Mind should be free from impurities

The sojourn of a soul, the human being can be compared to the stay of a person in a rented house. The human body is a residence with several comforts. The occupants are being given the opportunity to use it for beneficial purpose. Not all creation of God is extended this privilege, born as a caste or an insect, it will not be possible for these creations to worship or observe religions austerities. But man has the golden opportunity.

But it is absolutely necessary that the house should be kept tidy. A parable is cited of a wealthy man owing several houses, whom appreciating the honesty and of his servant living in a shanty, asked him to reside in one of his bungalows. After sometime the landlord visited the servant but was shocked to find the house in a filthy condition. Angered to this he ordered the servant to quit.

Likewise God will be displeased if the body in which resides the soul is kept dirty and the mind is full of wicked thoughts. He will make us a vacate it and dwell in some other frame.

The two principal constitutes of “Devotion” the devotee should secure knowledge of God’s inimitable traits and extraordinary powers. He should possess immense love for God. One without the other is purposeless.

Duryodhana recognized who Lord Krishna was but, when the later revealed His cosmic (Vishwasrupa). Duryodhana saw the Lord as a sorcerer as his mind contained nothing but hatred. Even as roasted seed will not germinate though the land has been ploughed well. Duryodhana refused to treat the Lord as the incarnation of God as he lacked devotion. Devotion could be cultivated by ensuring that the mind is freed from impurities like malice and jealously.
