Blocking the Pain of Death

Since the soul clings to the body, the shedding of lifetime memories at the time of death is painful. That is the reason the Indian Yogic system stresses the liberation of soul so that the painful cycle of birth and death is stopped.

Yogis also believe that reduction or elimination of pain during death would remove its fear. One of the major aims of Yoga therefore is to make the body and mind powerful enough so that pain is either reduced or removed completely.

Why there is pain and what is its purpose? Pain and pleasure are complimentary and are part of life. They are the attributes of the body. The intense physical pain is probably an outcome of the body trying to repair itself and requires very intense brain concentration for it. All other sensory inputs or other thoughts are blocked by the pain sensation. This concentrated thought might help the brain to heal the body. This is also the mechanism where single-pointed concentration helps in memory removal. Pain therefore could be one of the key mechanisms for removing or modifying memory. Any intense experience can do the same. For example intense pleasure of love for a chosen deity is the genesis of Bhakti Yoga (Yoga of devotion).

Interestingly, emotional and physical pains and their intensity are similar in nature and the brain does not differentiate between the two. Recent studies have revealed that MRI scans of the subjects showed that the pain of rejection (emotional pain) and stubbing of big toe (physical pain) illuminated the same part of the brain. We also show this similarity intuitively in our vocabulary with terms like broken heart, heartache etc. Emotional pain allows the brain to intensely focus on resolving the conflicts and at the same time helps it to send and receive thought packets.

Advanced Yogis claim to have developed a mechanism of blocking pain from reaching the brain through Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini is a very ancient Indian Yoga system, whose practitioners believe that there is energy (could be cerebrospinal fluid) which is coiled like a female serpent (Kundalini is the Sanskrit word for a coiled female serpent) and lies at the base of spinal cord. By Yogic process (mostly by imagining and willing it) it can be raised in the central canal of the spinal cord to reach its ultimate destination - the brain. Yogis claim that once Kundalini reaches the brain, liberation of a yogi from the cycle of birth and death takes place. Raising it is done step by step and it takes many years of practice before Yogis can raise it up to the brain. Yogis also claim that conservation of sexual energy tremendously helps in this process.

Kundalini Yoga helps to remove the sense organ inputs to the brain from various parts of the body. In medicine the pain blockers do the same. The main pain sensations from the body come through the spinal chord and probably raising of Kundalini means blocking the pain centers in the spinal chord progressively starting from the base of the spine and reaching to the top of the brain. This effectively detaches the mind from sense organs. Shri Ramakrishna used to say that as he started raising his Kundalini, his body went through the process of locking itself starting from the base of his spinal cord so that he lost control of these parts as the Kundalini traveled from the base of the spine to the head.

Yogis believe that with practice of Kundalini Yoga the mind gets completely detached from the body. This helps in developing memory or neural pathways so that at the time of death it is quite easy for the memory or soul to leave the body painlessly. Besides, they believe that with “pure soul” (without the sense organ memories attached to it) it is possible to achieve salvation from the cycle of birth and death. This is the central theme of Indian Yogic system. Patanjali says that once the gunas (result of karma) are resolved through Yoga then the soul becomes pure (without memory) and merges into Universal Consciousness.

I made a Mistake

So I made a Mistake. Mistake happen. Not only do they happen, they are guaranteed. My father used to say, the only way you won’t make mistakes is if you don’t do anything, and that itself is a mistake. Too many are afraid to try something new because they feel they might make an error. They are both right and wrong. Yes, they will probably make error but it is good to understand that errors go with the territory. You will never accomplish great or worthwhile things without risk and risk generally means great mistake potential. You are probably reading this by light bulbs invented by Thomas Edison.

Thomas Edison made over a thousand bulbs that didn’t work. The World would have called them mistakes. He said he learned a thousand ways not to make a light bulb. The way to avoid mistakes is experience. The way to get experience-is mistakes. Don’t feel bad because you messed up with something. Don’t be afraid to venture out into a good thing because you are afraid that you might mess up. While one person hesitates because he feels inferior, another is busy making mistakes and becoming superior.

An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made, in a narrow field. We have to keep trying things we’re not sure we can pull off. If we just do the things we know we can do…you don’t grow as much. You got to take those chances on making those mistakes.

Finally in this Computer world on misteaks. Od kont turrest yuor slpel chequer teo fnid alw yuor mistakse.

Colour of Friendship

GREEN said: “Clearly, I am the most important. I am the sign of life and hope. I was chosen for grass, trees leaves. Without me, all animals would die. Look over the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority.”

BLUE interrupted: “You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and sea. It is the water that is the basis of life, and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea. The sky gives space and peace and serenity. Without my peace, you would all be nothing.”

YELLOW chuckled: “You are all so serious. I bring laughter, gaiety and warmth into the World. The Sun is yellow, the Moon is yellow, and the stars are yellow. Every time you look at sunflower, the whole World starts to smile. Without me there would be no fun.”

ORANGE confidently exclaimed: “I am the Colour of health and strength. I may be scarce, gut I am precious for i serve the needs of human life. I carry the most important vitamins. Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangos, and papayas. I don’t hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one gives a second though to any of you.”

RED could stand mo longer and shouted out: “I am the ruler of all of you. I am Blood. I bring fire into the blood. I am willing to fight for the cause. I am the colour od danger and bravery. Without me the earth would be as empty as the Moon. I am the colour of passion and of Love, the red rose, and the poppy.”

PURPLE rose with great ceremony and proclaimed: “I am the Colour of royalty and power. Kings, Chiefs, and Bishops have always chosen me, for I am the sign of authority and wisdom. People do not question me, they listen and obey.”

Finally INDIGO spoke...more quietly but with determination: “Think of me, I am the colour of silence. You hardly notice me, but without me you would all become superficial. I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water. You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace.”

Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightening. Thunder rolled and boomed. Rain started to pour down relentlessly. The colours crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.

In Search of a Lost Love- Lesson from the Musk (Kasturi) Deer

Mother Nature is always speaking. She speaks in a language understood within the peaceful mind of the sincere observer. Leopards, cobras, monkeys, rivers and trees; they all served as Teachers in the Himalayan foothills. They shared the kind of lessons that elevate the spirit.

One particularly illuminating lesson from the forest comes in the form of the Himalayan Musk Deer. The musk deer is referenced in Sanskrit poetry and philosophy owing to its peculiar behavior. Prized by the perfume industry for its exceptional aroma, musk is one of the world’s most expensive natural products, fetching more than three times its weight in gold. The aroma of musk is so alluring that when the stag’s sensitive nose catches wind of it he roams the forest day and night in pursuit of its source. He exhausts himself in a fruitless quest, never realizing the bitter irony: the sweet fragrance he was chasing resided nowhere but within himself. Musk, you see, is produced by a gland in the stag’s very own navel: it was searching without for what was all along lying within.

The sages of India found in the musk deer an apt description of the human condition. We are all pleasure-seeking creatures wandering a forest of some sort — replete with pleasures and perils alike. Moreover, we are prone to the same type of folly as the deer: we seek our happiness externally. Misconceiving our true needs, we wrongly equate our fulfillment and self-worth with possessions, positions, mental and sensual thrills. We are often drawn into superficial relationships which hold the promise of lasting satisfaction, yet leave us feeling empty.

The true treasure lies within. It is the underlying theme of the songs we sing, the shows we watch and the books we read. What is that treasure? Love is the nature of the Divine. Beneath the covering of the false ego it lies hidden. The purpose of human life is to uncover that divine love. The fulfillment that we’re all seeking is found in the sharing of this love.

The power of love is most profound. It has various levels. In its crudest sense, the word love refers to acts of physical intimacy, and its influence over society is obvious. But on a deeper, more emotional level, not simply of the body but of the heart, there is no greater power than love. For the sake of money and prestige, one may be willing to work long hours, weekends, even holidays. A mother’s love, on the other hand, is selfless and unconditional. There’s nothing she won’t do for the well-being of her child, and she asks for nothing in return.

When love is pure it has the power to conquer. Lover and beloved conquer each other by their affection. The source, the essence, the fullest manifestation of love’s conquering power is the love of the soul for the supreme soul, or God. The sages who authored our Hindu sacred texts found that the most astonishing of all of God’s wonders was His willingness and eagerness to not only is touched by our love, but to be conquered by it. The cultivation of that dormant love is called the path of Bhakti (devotion). This love is within all of us. It is the greatest of all powers because it is the only power that can grant realization of the highest truths and the only power that can reveal the deepest inner fulfillment in our lives. On the strength of this love we can overcome envy, pride, lust, anger and greed. There is no other means of conquering these diseases within us.

One who loves God sees everything in relation to God. Therefore their love flows spontaneously toward everyone, at all times, everywhere. They even love those who wish them harm. If you love God, you can’t hate anything or anyone. If the love one offers is met with hate, it doesn’t die, rather it manifests in the form of compassion. That is universal love. It is not just a sentiment. It cannot be manifested merely by a shift in mental disposition. It can only come from inner cleaning, an inner awakening. Then that love becomes the reality of life.

This inner cleansing is the goal of all spiritual practice. Every prayer offered, mantra chanted, or ritual performed should be for the purpose of removing the impurities which impede the full blossoming of unconditional love and compassion. This is the only way to peace, both individually and collectively. When our intrinsic love is awakened and our divine qualities shine through, we will not only find the pleasure we’ve been seeking but also become powerful agents of change in the world.

We are all searching, roaming the forest like the musk deer, seeking the pleasures without. When we recognize what we are really looking for and begin searching for the lost love within, at that point, the real journey of human life begins.

Body is the First gift

Now people have come to the conclusion that body means pain. Body is not pain; body can be very beautiful. You can make your body in such a way that you need not have to carry it around, you can let it just float with you. Just food, practices and a little change in attitude, you will see this body becomes a miracle. If you look at this body as a mechanism, definitely it is the most sophisticated one on earth right now. Super computers do not match this one. They say a single molecule of DNA can perform 100 times more functions than all the computers in the world put together. A single molecule of DNA contains that many functions. This is definitely the best machine.

This is the first gift that was given to you. And those who do not appreciate this gift, those who are not bothered to take care of this one properly, would God give any more gifts to them? It stops there. Whoever is your creator, he gave you this wonderful body; the first gift that is given to you is a physical one, which is symbol of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh.  and then if he sees you abusing it, if you do not know how to take care of it, he knows it is not worth showering more gifts upon you. So it is important that the body is kept in a comfortable and joyous state. If the body is joyous, it will encourage you to go further.

You don’t have to become a great athlete, but you can keep the body healthy, comfortable and happy, respect and worship it. Otherwise it will pull you down. The physical body itself can be happy in the sense – after a bout of rain, if you go out and see, all the plants seem to be happy. Have you seen that they are almost laughing? Not just washed and clean, if you are sensitive you can see they are exuding happiness. Have you felt this?

The body can be happy if it is kept properly. If you eat certain foods, the body will become happy. If you eat certain other foods, the body will become dull and lethargic; you will feel sleepy. I am talking about life, you know. See, if we are sleeping for eight hours a day, if we live for 60 years, we have slept for 20 years. Twenty years of our lives we have slept; that is one third of our lives we have spent sleeping. Now, if we are sleeping for 12 hours, 50 per cent of our lives we spend sleeping, the remaining 30 to 40 per cent goes in eating and ablutions, so what is left in life? There is really no time left.

Nobody can enjoy his sleep. In sleep you don’t exist. The only thing that you can enjoy is restfulness. The body is well rested, that you enjoy. How to keep the body well rested? First of all, why tire it? Tiresomeness doesn’t come to the body because of work, for most people. People who are working more, they are more active, isn’t it? Food is one important aspect, attitudes are also there, but food plays an important role. If you eat the wrong kind of food, you have to drag your body and go. If you eat the right type of food, it goes ahead of you, and that is how it should be kept.

Body should be dealt like a temple. Because all the three deities are living in this body.

Do not judge what’s on the outside

Sometimes people are quick to judge others, when what you see isn’t really all there. People have different moods different personalities, different desires, so what you’re really seeing is only a mask, of what others want you to see. On the inside, we all have the same desires, a kind smile, a warm heart, a tender soul, all wanting to be reached on the inside.

We are all not perfect. Only human, we’ll have Ups and Downs like a merry-go-round, we’ll make many mistakes. But just remember, the next time you see a person, do not judge what’s on the outside, we  could be having bad day, Try and see on the inside, and you will see, the kind smile, the warm heart, the tender soul, reaching out....

Why Should I believe in God

Someone asked:-  Please tell me why should one believe in God? I am frustrated as nothing seems to work out for me, either my material life or my spiritual life. Please guide me - I am lost at the moment!!

Shuddhaanandaa Brahmachari says:- Nobody wants you to believe in God. What difference it makes to God whether you believe in Him or Her or That or not!

Look at the Sun, it gives you love and light and sustains you and the whole of existence. Did you ever hear the sun whispering in your ears, “Hey! You have not saluted me and so no love, no light for you today?” Whether you express your gratitude and reverence to the sun or not the sun always floods you with light and love and sustains you through the vagaries of life.  So also is God. He never waits for your salutations but keeps you flooded with innumerable gifts every moment of your life. Of course, the more you open your eye of awareness and try to see in the midst of darkness the flickers of Light that is always there, your eye would show you, for What you want to see, you see. Like your own mother, the Divine loves you irrespective of whether you reciprocate with gratitude or not. Start recognizing the grace without any expectation of magic, and just do with a heart of love and gratitude, for the divine principle that works all the miracles in the world is Love and Gratitude.

Break through Boundaries

Endless possibilities exist for all of us. New decisions and changes are frightening but they can also be exhilarating! No matter what pressures you’re under, what tough decisions you face, keep in mind that it is possible to turn chaos and turmoil into an exciting beginning.

Look at all the options life has to offer. Ask yourself how those options fit in with your deepest desires. Whether your desires are intellectual, artistic, spiritual, or physical, you can make a decision, now, to make them into realities.

Do this and you will soar over boundaries, and recognize that your endless possibilities have no limits.

A Spiritual Thought of knowing own Death-2

People love science when Science says something happens or works in a certain way they have the proof for it, a proof which can be tested independently by anyone and it will always give the same results too. It doesn’t rely on region or religion. It doesn’t have any prejudices or bias towards a particular section of or the entire society nor does it care about the cast of the Scientist or people who are going to be benefited. There might be few exceptions.

However similar things cannot be said about the religion, the sacred book or the teachings. Probably many of us do not trust science because it is a field full of uncertainties. Something declared today is invalidating tomorrow because a violation is discovered for something declared truth in the past.

On the other hand the things are there cannot be proved by Scientific Instruments, the happening or existence is there. This is an Occult Science (all Spiritual)

Knowledge is divided between phenomenology, science of the changeable and ontology, science of the unchangeable, ontology is the realm of beings and phenomenology that of becoming. To explain it to the laity, Christianity uses the word ‘father’ for ontology and ‘son’ for phenomenology. The Holy Spirit is individualised consciousness that mediates the two.

Phenomenology is the mixing and constant flux of the five elements: solid, liquid, gas, space and heat. The five elements are interdependent and are created from one another. For anything to be solid, it must have been liquid previously. For anything to be liquid, heat is required, for eons, the sun has Caused the earth to relive in a manner that H20 remains in liquid form in a narrow temperature range of zero to a hundred degrees. This is a feat of wondrous exactitude as temperatures in the cosmos range from negative to positive infinity. In order to have heat, some combustive gas is required. All this interplay occurs in space, which is the mother element. Matter occupies infinitely less then one zillionth of cosmic space, where the leela of phenomenology takes place.

Science limits itself to this zillionth of cosmic space occupied by matter. Hence, it has been said that science is an incomplete philosophy, but philosophy is complete science oncologists posit that we are pure spirit, trying to learn how to be human.  At birth, we are pure; pure consciousness. The difficulty lies not in being pure consciousness, but in being human. Completely alien to our being, we are constantly trying to master manmade functions ranging from table mannered to law, family governance to human love. It’s a comedown; a ‘thud’ keeps us in febrile fever. Ontology is the science of the unchangeable, undivided, pure consciousness. Knowledge of pure consciousness makes us realise that the entire universe is nothing but consciousness. I Am That. I am the entire universe, and the functioning of the universe is my responsibility. The brain is incapable of grasping the essence of ontology – It can only categories, divide and choose, assuming separateness, that there are two to choose from. The higher the IQ, the more divisive the brain, since pure consciousness is one, the brain. Since pure consciousness is one, the brain cannot grasp it in a thousand lifetimes.

To know your being or virginal ontological being or virginal ontological state is to resolve, ‘I am a pure virgin’. A virgin is one who is untouched by man. Hence, no thought emanating from any man can touch you. No political, economic or scientific theism penetrates your pure state. The very concept of a universe is a creation of man; even the creator is a creation of man. If the universe and god do exist, they are a part of your pure consciousness. Once stabilized in your virgin state, everything that emanates from you is pure. Thus, Christ emanates from the Virgin Mary. This is no mere historical phenomenon; it is happening moment to moment, even as you grasp this, as only your virgin purity can. If only Christ had said. “You are the Son of God”, instead of seeing purity only in himself…

What the world calls knowledge, ontologists define as ignorance. Armed with this ignorance, they can be billionaires, presidents or physicists. Even as they watch, their wealth will be surpassed, nations subjugated, scientific ideas bombed. They are at the feet of the masters of ontology, the masters of truth. Newton defined truth as ‘that which is invariant in all frames of reference ‘. All frames of reference lean on the inventive constructs of time and space. Ontologists would simply say that they are changeable and hence are untruths – even by Newton’s definition. Know the truth will set you free. The phenomenological world will be at your beck and call. Pity, you’ll have no use for it, having sublimated it…

At this moment what we need is an openness of our minds. Both believers and non-believers keep on saying that they do have open minds unfortunately it bis not true. For a proof you can take this conversation itself. Had it been true then this conversation wouldn’t have taken place.

Openness does not mean that critical questions are not examined. When someone says chemical combinations give rise to life and imply that elements means only the periodic table of elements and that there is no soul, we must question them, with valid arguments. This type of so called scientific dogma is completely divorced from fundamental of reality and distances mankind from service to God. Modern Science has no explanation about the subjective realities like perception, thought, feeling, and willing. How are they going to solv these from theory of Chemical combinations alone ?

That is our way of thinking that what we call as scientific dogma is divorced from fundamental of reality. Probably we require presence of God to get hold of the reality where as I do not. Modern Science is hardly 400 years old whereas various philosophies of the World are thousands of years old, yet they don’t explain much except saying God did it that way. We may be satisfied with that answer but few are not.

Modern Science may turn our World inside out, may be in another 1000 years. Even in short time of 400 years it has made possible lots of things which were thought could never be done or achieved.

But we should stop as we have totally different line of thinking. (Tark Vitark) engaging in the war of the words will lead us nowhere.

Very interesting what is happening now and what is going to happen in future, is already happened. (It is designed in Cosmos with vibration) Some what related questions arise in my mind.

(1)  Is events in the individual’s life is predetermined? Or it just happens, if it is predetermined at what time (at what stage), before our birth? Or some time before we experience? As it is predetermined some time we get visualization as described in the Abraham Lincoln life.
(2)  Is life pre-recorded / Programmed CD ? 100% or only broad events of life are predetermined and details are varying with individual’s karma in present life.

In other words is there any role of discretionary power of individual? Individual can change the events by his efforts or just he is Kathputli in the hands of fate ?

I believe, most of the factors that controls our life is pre-determined as per a “divine design” also known as the “Karmic” part.

However, there is a “free will” part, which is within our command and control. We may use the “free will” part to either replenish our bad karma with good karma or vice-versa.

The “pre-programmed” part of the “karmic” part can only be alerted (to some extent) by highly realized souls, but is better not to disturb this part.

The “free will” part which consists of all our “thoughts”, “Words” and “actions” shapes our destiny /future.

Yes about the dream of Abraham Lincoln—It is common with all of us from time to time we do get warning about our future from our higher self whenever we are investing energy in wrong thoughts-and as the thought starts taking shape from our fear, shame and avoidance or denial-and if we are conscious we can change it and create new and better thoughts to avoid the happening-as the required step was not taken by Abraham Lincoln—his dream became a reality. If you talk to more individuals who has lost some one will know that every person before dying gives hint that they are dying—there is no accident in nature—we create our own death—reasons are different, but we all do.

There is nothing new. Concerning Abraham Lincoln I would like to say that only people with high good track records, in past life are allowed to be kings and Chief of States in the following births. So it is natural for ex-President Abraham Lincoln to receive a SMS informing him of the way of his departure. Unfortunately he could not allow himself to understand or explain the message which he received. By the way I can assure you all who are reading this, that we all receive SMS just some days before the final departure but sadly we are so attached with this World that we forget the beautiful gift which we have received.

One example, though it may not fit 100% with the subject, yet this may give a way to think differently and without any bias. We all know NASA is sending men to moon and is planning to send men to even Venus also. But the whole exercise takes at least 3-4 years of training various fields including simulators.

But when the choose man lands in moon /Venus, he does not think it is new entirely for him, because he has undergone rigorous training and is fairly knowledgeable about the  conditions in Moon etc. so he goes about his job and completes his Task and returns.

Similarly. The ATMAS are trained previously before coming into our World and they are expected to do their work as destined by GOD and they just do it whether knowingly or un-knowingly.

A Spiritual Thought of knowing own death.

A spiritual conversation, The purpose of life on this planet where is it coming from and where is it going

Of many thoughts shared, the one that struck a chord was the story of a new-age guru who saw his own death scene being played out, he knew the date, time and place of his death. Was this an out-of-body experience? How does this work?

We are born of our parents and our parents are born of their parents and so it continued over generations in time. Extending this further, it could be assumed that future generations will come forth from us, and so the chain of physical human experience will likely continue, all other things being equal.

However, in this model, the future generation is already in existence somewhere in the cosmos and the chain would ensure that the existing generation perishes in order for the next to take over physical body and space.

Here’s one explanation: the cosmos has a major influence on all life on earth. Since the influence of the Sun ans Stars that make up the cosmos take a certain time to reach the earth, it can safely be assumed that by the time the next set of rays and other influences of the cosmos reach earth the in-between period is history and is already concluded or in motion.

The Story of the Earth of our generation and many more generations after us keeping the cosmos time in view as Mahavira says is as follows: Whatever is happening has already happened. Visiting the death scene of a physical body of any particular lifetime does appear to be a possibility. This concept takes a little time to understand but seems quite plausible.

Many renowned authors of metaphysical works have hinted at this possibility. Similarly, several Zen masters allude to this possibility. There appears to be a significant number of people who can help others to walk through this experience. Research on Past Life Regression and Future Life Progression work is therefore gaining in popularity as a way to possibly get a firsthand view of this intriguing phenomenon.

Dis Abraham Lincoln see his own death? There is a story about Lincoln. In a dream he reportedly saw that he was murdered and his lifeless body was kept in a particular room in the white house and surrounded by mourners whom he readily recognised. He woke up disturbed and narrated the contents of his dream ti his wife. They both had a good laugh and went back to sleep.

Three days later, Abraham Lincoln was murdered and his body was in the very same room he’d described to his wife from his dream with even the sequences of mourners matching what he saw in his dream.

No one except highly evolved soul see the futility of living a life of greed, control or fear. When we are young, we see our parents aging before our eyes, yet we still feel that we will be invincible; we believe that pain old age, suffering death comes to others. We see and are still blind. We delude ourselves all the time therefore this existence is called “Maya.”

There are some Scientists who are working on the concept of human existence. It is believed there are 92 elements in the Universe and each living being is a composition of some of these elements. Science teaches us the atmosphere is made of Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, Carbon-di-oxide and some other elements. Human’s body is also made of certain elements. In some experiment it has been discovered that there are millions of Neurones in the human body including brain. A particular neurone may show activity to a particular name but may not show any activity to another name. It could mean we are just a bunch of elements put together. That is why cosmic rays could have influence over our mental makeup or life. As humans we call it destiny. May be those who are able to connect better with cosmic rays understand the past and future.

Normal mortal beings sometimes it is better not to know the future because if it appears happy we may become restless to get into the future phase and may falter in the present life. If it appears bad then we may again falter by worrying about the future.

I think it is not too great to think of past life or future. Better to live in the present and make the best use of our time. On the other hand it is better to know so that we can rectify or do so preventive measure to reduce the effect of the outcome of the happening. Time travels in only one direction, so does our life….

It is equally or even more amazing that people insist that only our ancestor knew the truth. And what more interesting is that people are ready to believe without a second thought that only Indian Civilisation and their knowledge is amazing!!

Is there any other civilisation that has thought as deeply and as widely as the Indian? Of course there are gems in other Civilisations like Ancient Greek, with philosophers like Socrates and Plato. But they seem to be faint echoes of what our Rishis have said. Indian thought on Spiritual matters is, I feel, the gold standard by which other systems are judged.

Truth cannot be branded either Indian or Western. But still in India, the teachings of Vedanta have been preserved, practised and propagated throughout the world. There is truth everywhere according to degree of how much of it is to be found somewhere.

Where truth is to be found, we must bow our heads there. That is the proper behaviour. Sun, and Moon are neither Eastern nor Western, but wherever they manifest, they give their effulgence. Similarly wherever a great personality appears (Self realised Soul, or devotee of Supreme Lord) appears, they educate and uplift the mankind by their own shinning example and the glory of God. Socrates taught the soul is immortal. Christ and Muhammad taught how to become servants of God. And there are also St. Francis, King Solomon and so many other great devotees everywhere.

But when we cite India’s spiritual gems, then we think we are being Indian or sectarian. But this is our problem. Maharishi Vedvyasa has given so much profound devotional literature. And there are the Upanishada, Vedanta Sutra, Bhagwat which has been preserved by so many great personalities by their devotional examples. Even Germans have supported these contributions. Think of Schroedinger, Einstein’s dialogue with Rabindernath Tagore, to name a few.

It is unfortunate that the so called intellectuals of India have no respect for what is being given to them, nor do they understand how that teaching in integrated with all other civilisations all over the world.

Greek and Roman came up much later than Indians so they did had influential and original thinking. Field like Science, maths, Astronomy, Astrology and Medical etc. did peaked in Indian Civilisation but they didn’t originated in India. Things like Sun worshiping started in Sumerian Civilisation.

In spirituality Indians were surely ahead of other civilisation of the time. As far as Ramayana ans Mahabharata are concerned they are mythical stories told billions of time that it appears to be true.

Vedanta Sutra is amazing for its time. The status of Bible and other supporting books are to Christians and Quran to Muslims is same as that of Vedas, Upanishads and Gita. For them it is source of absolute Truth, the true words of God. Bible claims it is their God who created the Universe and everything contained in it. Similar claims are made by Quran also. Can you accept their Claims as the ABSOLUTE TRUTH ? If not why ? Can Christian and Muslims accept the claims made by Hinduism ? I think the answer is NO.

Foe me Gita is good Moral and philosophical book. You wish to believe it as the Absolute Truth then it is our choice but do not say others are wrong. There are many 20th Century Scientists who got influenced by Indian civilisation and so there are many who are influenced by western civilisation and played important role in the development of modern science. Why aren’t there are more Indians there if our scriptures tell the ultimate truth? Atoms are mentioned in Vedanta. It is said atoms cannot be divided but science shows it can be. Did Vedanta ever explain the internal structure of atoms ? As far as Metaphysics is concerned then science surely lags as it is hardly 50 years old. But even in this small time science has given jitters to the philosophy and religions.

Indian gave Zero and Decimal system to the world which made maths and calculations easy to handle. There are many more things gave to the world and in return learned quite a lot. Even till today almost all discoveries are made by west and European Countries along with Japanese and now Chinese too. How much are we contributing to the World Now..? Some are in favours and some are against India.

The point is not about which civilisation is better nor is the point that is more intellect, the point is that we should not reject science and it claims just because a certain theory hasn’t been proven yet. The same logic should apply to the believers of science.

Breath-Key to Body and mind

The body has no intelligence of its own, except the autonomous nervous system, which does bodily functions like digestion that we have no control over. What do we do after eating? We just put food into our mouth and after that we do nothing. Do we say “Now come on, pull this acid out, put that in, nothing; it happens on its own”.

So something is looking after us. Although we think, we have full control over our lives. 75 to 80 percent of our lives are run by the unconscious part of our brain or mind or whatever you want to call it. We can chew food, that’s it, if the esophagus loses the ability to swallow, we can’t even swallow – that’s also connected to the autonomous nervous system, the peristaltic system.

So what is it that we actually control? Circulation - we have no control. Heart - we have no control, it is beating from the time we are inside the womb till it decides to stop. Breathing – we have no control. Do we get up in the morning and say start breathing? And when it stops, it stops – we can’t say don’t stop – since we are not there. What you will notice is amongst all these things, breath is one thing which has a unique characteristic. It is normally not under our control but we can bring it under our control to some extent. Normally breathing is automatic but if we want, we can exert some control over it. We can start breathing slowly, hold it for some time, and exhale slowly. Breath is the only nutrition of our body which we can bring under our control and it is the most important nutrition. You can live without food, water for many days but not much without breathing. So we have an important key to reach that which controls our whole system – that is the breath.

Breath is a very important link to the inner being, your inner consciousness. If you can become aware of your breath constantly, then slowly you can become aware of That which does all these things in us. It is a very good link. In fact it is the only link.

Keep watching your breath as you breathe, is aware of your breath. Very soon you become the breath that is coming in and going out. Then you may realize that there is this whole Big Breath which is going on in the cosmos which is a part of you or you are a part of that.

Puranas say when the Brahman breathes in, all the cosmos is gone, and when he breathes out, a new creation is born.

One Paragraph that Explains LIFE

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood during a heart surgery in 1983.

From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: “Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease”?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

“The World over ....50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reaches the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 6 to semi final, 2 to the finals,

When I was holding a Cup I never asked GOD ‘Why me?’
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD ‘Why me?’

“Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trails keep you Strong,
Sorrow keeps you Human,
Failure keeps you humble and Success keeps you glowing, but only Faith & Attitude Keeps you going.

Brahmn, Beyond Confident

Matter or object is indispensable for existence of mind, for mind thrives on matter. Mind exists only as long as it is concerned with matter. As soon as it becomes objectless, it dies. The unit mind accepts unit objects around it as its objective or livelihood with the help of organs. The unit entity cannot conceive any integral, infinite object in its mind. Brahmn alone is integral, and other objects are but fractions.

The mind finds it difficult indeed to comprehend the Himalayas straightway; although vast, it can be brought within the mental compass easily through the medium of a map. But we cannot draw a map or picture of the integral entity, Brahmn. We cannot bind Him to an image from ten directions. “Na tasya pratima asti” -- He has no image. Mind cannot apprehend this integral Brahmn, for every object that is encompassed by mind is demarcable from ten sides.

To demarcate Brahmn would be totally antagonistic to the concept of limitlessness. If holding or apprehending Brahma is beyond the capacity of the mind, how then can Brahmn be attained? When, through spiritual sadhana, the mind is gradually transformed from crude to subtle and advances on the path of withdrawal, the unit mind gradually surrenders itself unawares to Hiranyagarbha or subtle cosmic mind. When self-surrender reaches its apex, the unit mind meets its Waterloo. What remains then is only the Supreme Mind.

This state is called Savikalpa Samadhi or determinate concentration of the mind. So we see that the first and last word of sadhana or spiritual practice is total surrender of unit mind to Supreme Mind. Similarly when the unit mind has been dedicated to Supreme Consciousness, and there remains only an objectless unity, this state is called Nirvikalpa Samadhi or total suspension of mind. Here, too, it is about total surrender.

To the unit mind Brahmn is unthinkable, unimaginable, beyond the sphere of imagination. Brahmn is also unmanifest, and so is inapprehensible to sense organs.

Countless forms of this observable world are but psychic manifestations of Brahmn. Only unit entities are evolved in the sphere of Brahmn mind as objects of unit minds, whereas countless and endless, big and small unit entities are being created and recreated in the imagination of Brahmn, possessor of infinite mind.

None of these forms of Brahmn’s psychic flow –bubbles that are originating, rising and bursting -- are the ultimate entities. They are all progressing through spatial, temporal and personal changes with a view to merging in that Supreme, the nucleus of the thought-cycle. That is why none of these mundane manifestations of Brahmn can be taken to be permanent and held on to as such. None of His unit forms can give us any perennial peace or real, abiding happiness. That is why a sadhaka is taken aback at the sight of the infinite, manifest form of the infinite -- of the Infinite Brahmn.

The Bhagvad Gita

The most important part of the Mahabharata is the Bhagavad-Gita. It is a marvelous dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield, before the commencement of the Great War. Bhagavan Sri Krishna became the charioteer of Arjuna. Sri krishna explained the essentials of Hindu q religion to Arjuna. Just as the Upanishads contain the cream of the Vedas, so does the Gita contain the cream of the Upanishads.

Arjuna saw before him his dear relatives and teachers in the battlefield. He fainted and refused to fight against them. Then Lord Krishna imparted knowledge of the Self to Arjuna and convinced him that it was his duty to fight regardless of the consequences. Afterwards Arjuna gave up his Moha, or delusion. All his doubts were cleared. He fought against the Kauravas and achieved victory.

Message delivered by God himself removes vacillation from the minds of many who are unsteady and who feel lost in the world. The Gita is in corporate in the Mahabharata which in itself is a masterpiece containing valuable doctrine applicable for all time to come.

The epic reflected the firmness of the five brothers (The Pandavas)   is declining to deviate from the path of virtue even in the maker of the worst adversities. Their zeal to uphold righteousness will install faith in the modern man that where one follows the normal codes, he is bound to succeed. Secondly, it is God’s story as we find him acting as a guide to the good souls. Devotion will spring in us when we see how the Lord extended his support to these men wedded to the good cause. The third aspect of this monumental poem relates to the behavior of evil men. Those causing hindrance to the Pandavas were their cousins- the Kaurvas who symbolize evil. The story refers to the constant confrontation between the right and the wrong. The humble and the arrogant, the pious and the malicious.

We shall be required to ascend the highest ladders of the deep science of Yoga to understand the reality about Mahabharata and Bhagad-Gita. Let us preview the very first stanza of Bhavad-Gita under this Ganesh aspect of knowledge.

Mine and the sons of Pandu have gathered with the urge of fighting and Dharmashetra a land of personal religion and also a Kurukshetra a land of action thereto, O Sanjaya, what happened thence? Said Dhritrashtra

The meaning of stanza is simple if we encounter the same as a historical record. But one is not able to understand, why poet Vyas has given two proper nouns to one and the same battlefield. The reason should be somewhat deeper. First we shall have to know who is Dhritrashtra and his family members, here we shall have to take the help of Eshvasypanished which reveals us the meaning of Dhritrashtra and others.

Dhritrastra

Dhritrastra has been shown as the nominal king of Hastinapur (Physical Frame). But he is all the while dominated by his elder son Duryodhan here “Duha” means bad, “Yodha” means adamant fighting tendency. Duryodhan means an adamant, bad tendency, ready to fight with one’s won good impulses, and his brothers too such as Dushsana, Durvishaka, Durmata, Dushvarna, Durmarsha, Dussaha Durdhava etc. “Rastra” means our body while “Ehrit” means the owner. In this way every person is Dhritrastra. But the Dhritrastra of Gita is blind to his own spiritual gains and is dominated by his Duryodhana tendencies. Not to have settlement of his own, Pandva. That means higher impulses. The struggle for existence of impulses begins on the field of tendencies, which is termed as “Dharmakshetra” by Ved Vyasa.

Tendencies are the outcome of continued cultivation’s on a person who begets them through prone deeds helped by alike interests. The field of deeds is also our body. Hence Vyas calls the same battlefield as Dharmakshetra as well as Kurukshetra. Dharma means permanent mould of cultivation while ‘Kuru’ means to do deeds.

Thus the fight begins on Dharmakshetra and Kurukshetra, ‘Kuru’ the forefather of Kauravas, has been shown as the king of ‘Kurudesh’, where he used to till his land himself. Will a king till his own land instead of asking his servants to do the same? But every ‘Kuru’   has to till his own land or farm. Gita tells about this ‘Keshetra’ or farm in the first stanza of chapter thirteen as follows:

‘O’ Kanteya this physical frame is called as Kshetra’ or farm and the owner of this field is called as “Kshetrajnya.” King Kuru was thus the tiller of his physical body and the kaurvas were his descenders.

Literally a “Kurukshetra” war takes place daily in our minds. When we desire to undertake a noble deed. There will be forces to prevent us from carrying out the same. For instance we may be inclined to observe the compulsory daily religious austerities but suddenly, lethargy may force us to postpone them on the plea that nothing will be loss if they are observed after a day or two. This is a tussle between virtue and vice. Ultimately the latter perishes.

Gandhari  -has been shown as the wife of Dhritrastra, the blind king of Hastinapur. Gandhari was very loyal to her husband and hence she also covered her eyes with a band, not to see alike her husband. The eshawasyopnishad again says about Gandhari.

Those who follow others blindly go to deeper stages of darkness and remain there long. Thus Gandhari was following her blind husband tendency under the grabs of loyalty and refuse to see the light of knowledge given to her through the eyes of reason.

Hundred Kaurwas – Kaurwas, the sons of blind Dhritrastra have been shown hundred in number of which the names begin with bad adjective ‘Duhu’ bad tendencies are innumerous that means hundred. Like Dushasana, Durvishaka, Durmata, Dusherna, Durmarsha, Dussaha, and Duryodhana.

The down fall of unbalanced person occurs through hundred channels such hundred channels of downfall are the bad impulses or sons of Dhritrastra, the blind father of the Kaurwas .

Pandvas  - Pandvas are the five sons of ‘Pandu’ which means good arrangement of knowledge. The word Pandit has been derived from this word Pandu. And who is Pandit Gita says such were the good balanced son-impulses of Pandu which were five in number, why five? Five ‘Paranas’ of which ‘Dharma’ (Yudhishtirar is the eldest. Dharma means the mould of cumulative good impulses prone to evolution. ‘Bhim’ was the second, Bhim means strength, intelligence, & valor we incase terrible strength. If we are loyal to our own Dharma. Bhim was the strongest.

Then comes ‘Arjuna’ he was the best archer who know where to shoot his arrow. Again the Upanishads say about such divine archers like Ram and Arjuna pranawa is the bow while Atman is the arrow to be radiated at the target of Brahma. Personal efforts and dedication were with Arjuna Nakul and Sahdeva stands for integrity & humility.

Lord Krishna– The Upanishads again elevates out intelligence to the stage of Bhagwan Gopal Krishna who readily accepts to drive the chariot of Arjun on the battle.

The Atman is the owner of the chariot, the body is the chariot, intelligence is the charioteer, and mind is the rein. Lord Krishna is therefore the guide of the Pandwas who are definite to get victory in the eternal way of tendencies. Gita says about such victory.

Divine wealth and victory is definitely to that side in which Yogeshwar Krishna, the intelligence super, skillfully drives the chariot of Arjuna, the divine archer, shooting his arrow of Atman, towards the final target of Brahma.

The writer has a mind to elaborate upon the whole of Srimad Bhagvad Gita the reality of which is very essential for the uplift and unification’s of the whole of mankind.

The Mahabharata is the history of the Pandavas and the Kauravas. It gives a description of the Great War, the Battle of Kurukshetra, which broke out between the Kauravas and the Pandavas who were cousins and descendants of the lunar race. The Mahabharata is an encyclopedia of Hindu Dharma. It is rightly called the fifth Veda.

There is really no theme in religion, philosophy, mysticism and polity which this great epic does not touch and expound. It contains very noble moral teachings, useful lessons of all kinds, many beautiful stories and episodes, discourses, sermons, parables and dialogues which set forth the principles of morals and metaphysics. The Pandavas obtained victory through the grace of Lord Krishna. The Mahabharata is written in one hundred thousand verses by Sage Krishna-Dwaipayana Vyasa

Human Physiology

Man is the most superior creation of the cosmic order. Once he knows how he can improve his fortune, he will certainly take measures to improve it. He will become the architect of his destiny and not a tool of the destiny.

Human is better placed than the other species. He is not born just to enjoy pleasures. All sentiment being eaten, drinks, sleep, and possess sexual impulses. The Beast need not labor much to obtain their needs but the civilized man has to toil to get his food and shelter. By mere eating of grass the elephant grows to a huge size. A lion deprived of its meat will not consume grass. But man’s desire can never be satisfied, by enjoying pleasure. He has been gifted with various senses and he should use them properly.

The animals confronted with danger protect themselves in many ways. But man has no poisonous fangs to bite. Their hands and legs are used for constructive purposes. The organs provided for man should be utilized for creative purposes. The organs provided for man should be utilized for creating conditions for better living. No doubt that all the beings in the world have been created by a super power –God.

The millions of creature from amoebas to mighty animals do not acquire knowledge, but the human beings are a special category and they desire to equip themselves with knowledge and regulate their day-to-day activities.

In describing the various correlation of human physiology with Veda and the Vedic Literature as well as with the Vedic Devata, we find that some parts of the physiology are seen to have duel counterparts in the Vedic Literature, either structurally, functionally, or both.

If it is to be explained , we can say , when God made man (God Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh with their concert SARSWATI (Knowledge), LAKSHMI wealth, and PARWATI (Shakti) (reproduction, generate and destruction) All three gave their signs when they made man.

There is saying that God made man

And then he rested.

God then made woman

Since then Neither man nor man rested.

1.            Brahma       gave upper portion of body (head) where brain is there and knowledge is its satisfaction. The upper portion of the body can hear, smell, and see, and so on.

SARASWATI ( Knowledge) Saraswati represents knowledge, is located in head or brain. Her 4 arms in the form of the four lobes of the brain represent the seat of all knowledge, experience, and action. Saraswati is the consort of Brahma, who also has 4 heads, and is also represented in the 4 lobes of the brain.

2.            Vishnu - gave the physical body, (Legs, hand, Torso which is satisfied with wealth, (Having good cloth, comfort, good food, car, Five star hotel and so on.

Laxmi & is the wife of Vishnu

3.            As the Mahesh  (Shiva) is only superior among the three. He gave us Shiva Ling. He gave us all the symbols of Shiva, A penis (Ling) with the structural, physical shape. Shiva wife is Shakti. Ling has all the sign of the Shiva. Damroo Snake, Trishul,  Ganga and the most important is the Opening of third Eye.

Third EYE – Pineal Gland --The pineal gland is a structure that lies in the very center of the brain on the ventricular system. This gland is sensitive to light and secretes hormones called melatonin, which is related to mood, wakefulness, and other states of awareness. The Pineal gland represents the third eye of SHIVA in the physiology.

The Biophysical energy released from your body is called the opening of third Eye. A Third Eye- Name given to the process, whereby the full potential of man’s Biophysical, mental, and emotional energy released, integrated and focussed.

Incidentally Colin Wilson in his book THE OCCULT, says that occult power are within human body. “Researchers to the “PINEAL EYE” the organ in the brain that the Hindus declare to be the seat of the Occult powers was assumed to be a vestigial eye although no one quite decide that use an eye would be in the middle of the brain.

In the present century scientists began to recognize an odd connection between the pineal eye and sexuality. It was established that the organ is a gland not a vestigial eye and that it produce a hormone that was labeled molotonin, molotonin is produced by the action for a certain enzyme upon a chemical called serotonin.

Now you must have the question in your mind where is the woman, it has been emphasize for man only.

Yes Woman is not a separate entity. Woman is a part of man. Man is not complete without woman and woman is not complete without man. That is why in Hindu we call wife as Ardhangani.

Hinduisms not a Religion. It is a Mythology
